I'm cracking up over here. Cynically, but yeah. There's a huge to-do about the winter storm that went through the country yesterday, leaving so many without power, and Michigan, land of snow, gets hardly a dusting of it. Then today, we get clobbered by lake effect. Go figure.
So, with no school and appointments rescheduled because of road conditions, we are all staying in pj's and blankets and eating crap food. All the Disney/ Pixar movies.

ls2012 I lived in Kalamazoo one winter and it snowed every day of my life. We never lost power.
We did lose power here yesterday but only for about 3 hours. Thankfully. My H is out trying to clear snow with the ATV and it is a ridiculous amount of snow. So glad I am inside.
We had a bad night with R. She was ridiculously loud- waking up every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I don't know what to do...shes 5 weeks old and it's getting worse. And I don't understand why it's only at night...
Also waiting for a call back from the pedi about Ks leg. Day 5 of limping with no pain, no change in her activity. Called over an hour ago.
My stress level is high right now. Sleep derivation is only making me feel more overwhelmed.
After a few really super crappy nights, B blessed me with a 5.5 hr stretch. I hope this isn't a one-off.
Daycare was open today with a 1 hr delay. The roads are still pretty nasty and everything is icy. I need to brave the conditions though because we're out of milk and a few other things. Other than that, slow day today. I might try to sneak in a workout while B naps, but that's me being ambitious...

I hope your pedi can give you some reassurance flyinghorses6! Is R awake when she's grunting? Does it seem gas/poop related? I hope it ends soon. I remember reading that sleeplessness/fussiness tends to peek around 6 weeks and then calms down for a bit. I'm living for that 7 week mark
We've got some serious cabin fever here (well, DS does). I can't wait for some warmer weather. He's into everything, and I'm about ready to get out the playpen to stick him in while I'm nursing. He hates it, though, so it would be 30 minutes of screaming.
I need to do dishes desperately. Hopefully I can do that while DS naps this afternoon. My friend was supposed to come visit after work but school was cancelled (she's a teacher), so I don't know if she's coming. And I think we're going to try going to a church meeting tonight because we're voting on a new pastor. We plan on voting and leaving. Hopefully that's not rude, but newborn and all.

shawnabm1320 she's not awake fully but she's not asleep. I grab her and she's asleep quickly, don't even need to feed her. I think it's gas related but not sure. Seems like a lot of gas...she has 3-4 poops a day also. I can do 2 more weeks...I'm just praying that's true because I'm so so tired.
DH is taking K to the pedi now. Fingers crossed it's nothing. But that they don't just brush it off. 5 days of limping is not normal.

IDK what it is with this kid, but I sleep through a lot with him. Like I didn't even hear him at 3:30 this morning, so MH got up with him. Whatever. Let's hope I hear him tonight because...
MH is going out at about 3 this afternoon and won't be home until about 2 a.m. WTF... Thanks for the last minute plans, bro. I just found out about this last night. And...
MH scheduled a play date for J today. Why? Because he didn't feel like shoveling to take her to DC. They opened two hours late so she could be at school. Instead he's napping and I'm rushing around getting the house clean. And he threw a fit when I said I'd shovel. Whatever...
And C puked on me 10 seconds after I woke up.
Annnd I've been summoned for jury duty. The day I was supposed to return to work.

flyinghorses6 L grunts all night too and it's like total guessing game if he's awake or asleep. The noises seem like he's uncomfortable, but I don't know.. L is 5 weeks old so I'm praying shawnabm1320 is on to something and this will slow down in 2 weeks

(((Hugs))) to all of you that had a rough morning or night.
We just got home a bit ago from a friend's house and the sound of the heat working from outside was the best sound ever! Apparently, our power came back on around 10pm last night after being out for 14 hours.
I just found out though that one of my friends still doesn't have power so if they are feeling well, I will probably invite them over for awhile.
oldbaylover1024 that suuucks. What is your h doing until 2 am? My h is also going out tonight and I'm already nervous about bedtime. He's going to an awards gala with clients so I'm pretty jealous and also praying he doesn't get too drunk... I think I may order takeout if I can get everyone to bed before all the restaurants close.

Our night wasn't so bad. DH left early because there's a bus and subway workers strike today so traffic is chaotic in my city.
DD has been so well behaved lately. This morning she entertained the baby while I got dressed. LO is starting to pay more attention to us and big sis loves the attention.

R has his 1 month pedi appointment today. I'm excited to see how much he weighs and how long he is. After his dr appointment I'm taking him to dh's office to show him off. DH has only been at his job since October, so I haven't met most of his co-workers so I need to figure out a way to look presentable. 😳

DH has a half day at work today. Luckily DD1 has daycare, so I pumped for stash and now DD2 is doing tummy time on the playmat. We may go to Soma later to get fitted for a nursing bra. I had some flimsy ones last time and have decided to stop dicking around and invest in the girls. They are working hard, they deserve some support!

Been out of the loop the past few days. I had a interview for work yesterday out of town. It took all day but went well and DS2 and DH came with. DS1 stayed with my parents.
Long rambling story about DS1 DS1's eczema is flaring because EVERYTHING is blooming. We had to take him to quick care this morning because he is miserable and his normal meds can't handle it. So now he'll be on prednisone for a week. Yay! He was supposed to have an allergist appointment Friday but it had to get rescheduled because the doctor has a conflict. Ugh. He also has to be off his antihistamines until then so he can have a skin test done. Oh and we forgot his epipens at home 4 hours away. Parents of the year over here!

The pedi appointment was a complete waste of time. The nurse practitioner looked at both her legs. Asked my husband which leg she was limping on...he said we weren't sure but thought left...they got an x ray of the left leg. Saw nothing. Said to watch it.
I am livid. They didn't even have her walk; I wanted a professional opinion and assessment. Maybe it's her right leg. Maybe they can tell if it's her foot or knee or hip based on how she's walking. They never even had her walk!!! Anyway I obviously hope it resolves; but I wish they did a more thorough assessment. She's not limping for no reason.
On a positive note my canvases came and they look awesome. I hung 2 out of the 3; and think they look great. And I'm hoping to mail out all my thank you cards and birth announcements tomorrow.
As for HDBD....
