P has only been pooping every other day or so and whenever she does it's a massive blowout. I bought sized up diapers yesterday but was trying to use up my last pack of NB and that backfired on me this AM.
My inlaws are coming this afternoon and tomorrow we are all going to a wine tasting lunch at the local vineyard and I am so excited. I want all the wine! I won't be counting calories tomorrow...

oldbaylover1024 yay for wawa coffee and fashionable little girls, but boo for being thrown up on!
@preppy sorry for the blowout!
We had an awful night here last night. Z hasn't pooped since Tuesday evening, which I know isn't cause for concern with a breastmilk diet, but Z does not do well like that. She is so uncomfortable and gassy, and was up screaming from about 3-5am. DH nicely let me sleep and took her downstairs, but I feel just awful for her. She's out now, but when she wakes up we'll have to try some new approaches. We'd been using gripe water, but doesn't seem to be providing relief anymore. We bought gas drops so we'll try that, and belly massages again, and maybe a warm bath. I also emailed the pediatrician. I just hate seeing her so uncomfortable (and could do without all the fussing and crying).

DS1 woke up screaming at midnight. We didn't hear him but my mom did so she took him, which was great for us. Poor guy is so itchy. I wish we could help him feel better but there isn't anything we can do til we see the allergist. DS2 slept great last night though.
I just remember that my coffee has been sitting in the microwave for an hour and a half. I drank a couple ounces before I got distracted feeding babies, dressing toddlers, making my breakfast, and starting laundry. I think I'll continue my morning cup now.

oldbaylover1024 my morning started with being puked on by R; then K came into bed and sneezed a massive green booger right onto my hand. Mom life.
@preppy that sounds so nice! Are you taking P with you? I have like 100 NB diapers that weren't used. Hopefully someone's pregnant soon I plan on making them a diaper cake.
dancerspose sorry for the bad night...hopefully your pedi gets back to you soon.
I'm waiting for my friends to get here. No other plans- need to go out and get a few things to make dinner; and also some stamps. That needs to happen today.

We had a pretty good night last night. I was concerned R wouldn't sleep because he was so sleepy most of the day yesterday after getting a shot at his pedi. Speaking of that, he weighed in at 9lbs 5oz which is 29%. He's a skinny guy compared to C, who was always squishy!
No plans today, I just need to find time to exercise.
flyinghorses6 yes she will be joining us for wine, lol. The toddler will be at daycare though:) I thankfully only have one more pack of NB diapers so I am not wasting too many. Almost made it 6 weeks in NB which is about how long her sister was in them so not too bad! I think she's starting to grow out of her NB clothes too:(
This phase makes me want to have another baby. I did this last time too and ended up with kids 16mo apart. DH is shutting me down for a while this time.
I did not get a repeat of Bs 5.5hr stretch last night. We were up every 2.5 essentially. I definitely feel like it was less out of hunger and more out of gas pains/reflux/not getting into the next sleep cycle. Ugh. This too shall pass.
DH and I have a wedding tomorrow night and MIL is coming over to do bedtime for the 2 kiddos...we'll see how that goes. Could be a complete disaster, but what are you gonna do? Me as a ftm would have stayed home. Me as a stm is saying, whatev...everyone will live.

So far MH is open to going back for another double embryo transfer when L&M are 12-15 months old (my OB's recommended waiting period). At least our crazies match.

Wedding sounds fun ellabee! Hope you enjoy the adult time. Baby didn't sleep well last night. She caught a little cold that DD1 brought home from daycare. DH let us both sleep in this morning, so that was nice. Been doing a little more walking the past few days and I can feel muscles that haven't been used properly in months getting back in shape (ow). Gotta pump but otherwise no plans for today yet.

We had such a good night but then DS decided 4am was party time.
I'm making my list of things we need to get done before DH leaves. It's overwhelming. Heck my list of things to do before this weekend is overwhelming me. We have DH's sponsor and supervisor coming over for supper tomorrow so I can get to know them before he takes off, then MIL's birthday is Saturday. So much cleaning and shopping and cooking and baking. I need a shower, I need to wash my kids and finish laundry, etc, etc and lately one of my kids always NEEDS something so I feel like I am stopping and restarting every task at least 8 or 9 times before it's completed. It's maddening. It took me 3 hours to load the top rack of the dishwasher last night. That almost didn't even seem right typing that out.

dancerspose my friend showed me how to use a qtip with Vaseline today for constipation. I cannot believe what came out of that girl!
Night number two of decent sleep, I swear that using a Houdini style of swaddling has made all of the difference. My doc is switching up my meds for ppd, I'm starting celexa so I hope that kicks in very soon. My doc also wanted to extend my mat leave until I'm feeling better and am able to leave the babies without having such debilitating anxiety. I emailed my boss and she was super supportive about everything.
Just ordered frames for the newborn pics I finally decided on. Should be here Saturday so FH now has a weekend project. I'll post AW pics this weekend once done!!
Really need to make a target run today. Low on diapers somehow. Dang these twins burn thru those things!!! This afternoon I need to make some treats for LO1's St Patrick's day party tomorrow.

So I got my work out in. But I tried to do it while R was awake, it did not go well. My 20 minute workout took about 45 minites. I had to pause 4 times, do a diaper/clothes change, and 3 pickup/soothes. Now that he is awake more often, I can't rely on naptime to get stuff done. So I will try again tomorrow!

You all are so on top of things! I'm over here like, "I did a load of laundry, put dishes away, and managed to feed everyone breakfast - do I get a reward?" Lol
musicallyinclined, I'm sorry your ds1 is so itchy. I hope the allergist appointment sheds some light on what will help him!
I'm tired just reading your to-do list, littleredfish. You're doing a great job!

We lost internet and phone service at the same time this morning. It was out for about an hour, and MH was freaking out. I finally told him to check the radio - he was sure there was some diabolical reason we had no service - like an aftack or something. We have no landline, so we really were disconnected from everyone, but I guess I'm naive - I was not worried. MH got an hour off work, though! Lol
The big kid seems to be having an ok day, thank goodness. He hasn't tested the boundaries nearly as much as he has been so far. He's napping now, and I'm enjoying some peace and quiet. We have no plans today. As usual

Oh so I've been drinking chamomile tea close to bed time and 1. I actually like it more than I remembered. 2. I think it's helping with the gas. Was it littleredfish who shared that trick? Thank you!
Post by littleredfish on Mar 16, 2017 12:44:12 GMT -5
musicallyinclined, glad it seems to help! We haven't gone back to the 7 hours of screaming, so I'm convinced it helped us. We're down to only 1hr on a bad night so I don't even know if we'll have to use the gas drops I ordered. It took about a week to get down this much but one way or another I like the tea for myself.

ellabee the gas/reflux/sleepcycle is the perfect description!! We got a 5 hour stretch and then I couldn't get her back in the bassinet because she was so unsettled. Every night it's something new with us. But I'm hopeful she will sleep well soon.
We actually made it to the ortho ped and back without anyone having a meltdown. It was glorious! And Sabine's hips are doing well enough that I can finally take her out of the harness to give her a proper bath! Too bad I can't wash the harness, though. That thing is getting so gross.
In 2 weeks she gets another ultrasound and if everything looks good, we can start weening her out of it. I'm so hopeful. I've really missed doing things like skin-to-skin, bath time, and holding her and having her feel like a baby instead of a stiff doll. Not to mention just being able to clothe and diaper change her without the obstacles.
I feel like I have so much to do around here. Laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, dusting, etc., etc., in addition to taking care of 3 kids. Sooooooooooo tired. DH has been great in helping where he can, but he's still swamped with work. One day, I swear, I'll catch up on everything. One day...
Kudos to all of you working out already! The best I've been able to get in are a few planks and lunges. I'm hoping all the running upstairs for diaper changes, and into the basement for laundry will help.
Hugs to the sleep-deprived, puked on, peed on, stressed-out, and struggling.

Hi ladies!
Sorry I've been MIA. It's been a crazy few days with doctors appointments, family drama, and a funeral. DH's uncle died suddenly so we had to go to the wake/funeral. I feel so bad for his aunt. This is the second husband she's lost to a freak accident.
Saw the OB for my one month check. I still have a few stitches that haven't quite healed yet, so she said I should wait at least another two weeks for sex. And we did decide to try condoms for now and see how it goes. I just don't want the hormones right now.
Also, I got a call out of the blue yesterday from a cousin who lives in Florida. Apparently her mother told her that my grandpa has cancer. It's this huge family secret and apparently he specifically asked that no one tell me. And not because he's like worried about me. Because I'm estranged from that side of the family. No idea what kind of cancer or how severe... just got that bomb dropped on me.
I swear, my family needs to just hold hands and jump off a cliff. What a bunch of miserable bastards.

Been thinking of you littleredfish. My sympathies for all the stress you're under! Also loves2shop4shoes hugs for all the family issues. We're headed out to the post office and grocery store. Life is really exciting these days

This is probably really inappropriate, but your phrasing made me laugh, which jiggled L because I was holding him, which always makes me laugh more and jiggle him more. He woke up and gave me the biggest pouty lip ever. It was hilarious and I had tears streaming down my face trying to stop laughing. I'm disappointed I missed getting a picture of it.
@nomnom you should have seen my eyes bug out of my head when I read that. You guys are awesome! I think this was (sadly) our last FET.
@dancerspose I second the q-tip and Vaseline method. It really helps!
We were lucky to get a lot of frozen embryos and MH always wanted a big family. His ex was too BSC to have more kids with, so he got a vasectomy. That's the biggest reason we needed IF treatment because a vas reversal doesn't always bring back normal fertility, especially after more than a decade.

nomnom - I did the same thing as EmMilAlly when I read your post. I can't imagine having another kid at this point but I think a sore vag still has a lot to do with it. I have 2 embryos left and plan on implanting them both within the next couple of years since I'm well on my way to 40!
I'm on my way to pick up dinner for tonight. DH has both kids. This is the first time I've been alone since LO was born. It feels amazing lol I think I'm going to pick up some wine to accompany my spaghetti and meatballs.
