For those of you whose babies are struggling with reflux, I know a lot of moms who have been given the go-ahead by the pediatrician to use the rock-and-play or swing overnight because it's elevated. It might be worth asking your pediatrician.
loves2shop4shoes Our pedi said once we hit birth weight to let him sleep. I'd think that you'd be ok to just let her sleep.. Hopefully your pedi is less strict at your next appt. otherwise I'd follow what shell said and maybe look for a new one. We had our hearts set on a certain pedi. for DD and liked him ok once we started having appointments. We went in for a sick appointment one day and got another pedi. in the practice and fell in love with her. She's been DD's pedi. ever since. Sometimes you have to try a few before you find the right one for your babe.
flyinghorses6 My best friends baby had all the symptoms you described and she convinced her pedi to put him on meds. She said it was life changing. I can't remember which one he was prescribed though. Hope you have a better visit this time.
LO gave us a 6 hour stretch and is currently sleeping a 4 hour/going on 4.5 hour stretch. And DD is still asleep. What in the what?!
loves2shop4shoes - My pedi didn't give me the ok either to stop waking up at night wanting to wait till their 2 month appt to review. I made a momma-decision and let them sleep. We all need sleep, esp this momma!
flyinghorses6 - A friend of mines lil girl had reflux and was on some med but she also was told to keep her upright for at least 30 minutes after a feed. She said nights sucked but it did help. Also good luck with LO1's limp!

I've been doing that...sometimes it helps; other times not.
I am calling the pedi and raising hell today. 1 my toddlers limp is worse and I want a referral to an ortho. 2. My baby is miserable all night and I'm about 99.9% sure she has silent reflux. She's legitimately choking, gagging, coughing and has a stuffy nose all night. SOS I'm going to be a psycho mom if I ever get a doctor on the phone.
Anyone giving meds for reflux? Are they helping...? This poor baby needs some relief.
We do. I think it helps to some degree but he's a very gassy baby as well so that also keeps him up.
