mrsbaldwin2012EmMilAlly we were getting pretty close to trying the qtip and Vaseline trick. We actually brought Vaseline the last time this happened just to be ready.
Luckily it didn't come to that. We had a blowout poo a few hours ago that required an immediate bath and she's been a whole new baby ever since. The pediatrician did write back to me, but he didn't really address my concerns. He basically said as long as her poo was still soft not to worry. I get that medically not having a bowel movement every day may not be cause for concern, but her obvious discomfort and change in attitude when she doesn't go every day is what worries me. We have our two month (!!!) appointment next Friday so I'll bring it up again then. In the meantime, I'm thinking about just going ahead and starting her on probiotics because this seems to happen every few days.
nomnom wow I'm jealous your husband will be on board with more transfers so soon. We still have 7 embryos on ice, but are in a different boat since we ended up getting pregnant unmediated after 4 failed transfers (one was a double transfer). I want to not prevent for the next few years and see what happens. DH wants to jump right to adoption. I don't have anything against adopting, but I would like to see what happens. I doubt we'll try again with our embryos, though, unfortunately.
Poppy napped for 3 hours mid day and I had prob the most productive day I've had since second tri. I legit cleaned the entire house, both bathrooms, floors, dusted, etc. Then I did my workout and showered and blow dried my hair all before she woke up. I will need to go to bed early tonight for sure.
@preppy, that sounds like my day yesterday. It made me happy!
We went to my grandparents' house today. Two of my aunt's showed up when I was getting ready to go home. So I got to deal with a hungry baby part of my 45 minute ride home At least she's normally great in the car and she took a full 3 oz when we got home!
I don't know how this happened but both my kids are being very chill at the moment. I hope the newborn continues this once toddler goes to bed so we can get a few hours in of relaxation (without me holding an infant).

I go right to bed after my toddler goes down. Feed R; and my head hits the pillow and I'm out. DH isn't home anyway so I feel like I should capitalize on the sleep. Plus it's my only long stretch of sleep (3-5 hrs)....But it leaves me with almost no "me" time. After next weeks 6 week clearance from the Doc I'm banking on at least an hour in the gym 4x a week. Even though I hate working out while breastfeeding- I'm looking forward to it.

Does anyone use childcare at their gym, like the included childcare Ys usually have? I only have a month left in my leave and need to take advantage of having free time during non peak gym hours while I can...

I used to work at one of the gym childcare places, and at ours, we wouldn't take in kids younger than 3 months. I bet that each place is different, so you'd probably have to call in and ask to make sure your LO is old enough. Going during non peak hours is the best though. I wish we had a gym nearby :/

Our local Y takes babies starting at 6 weeks. Z will be 8 weeks tomorrow, but I'm just not sure about it.

Our Y starts childcare at 6 weeks. I plan to use it and give them instructions that if there are any problems (like spit up out L's nose or a dirty diaper or they're just inconsolable) they should come get me. We've been using it with R&G and it's worked well. There are occasional bumps, but nothing major.

I just won a contest to be first in line at a huge baby consignment sale tomorrow morning! I'm super excited!!! I'm hoping to get some outdoor items for summer!
I should be sleeping since LO1 is asleep, G is adlepyand my mom is trying for the 3x to get O back to sleep. It I'm on my phone reviewing their MOTN eating schedule from. The last 3 weeks trying to figure out a time I can hopefully consistently pump. Winning time looks like 2am.

Ugggg dancerspose, R is having a fussy night as well and it's me for the night since DH is overtired and got extremely frustrated to the point of having to put R down and walking away.

I just took DS's 1 month milestone picture then proceed to change him into a fresh pair of 6 month pajamas. I have pictures of his sisters wearing these pj's at 5 months old, both sitting up and smiling, and it's not like any of my babies have been small. He fits in them perfectly, the feet are even a tad small. Jesus.

The girls are 5 months in their pics. DD1 was my 10lb baby (so closest in weight) and she's the one sitting up in her pic. DD2 you can tell they were a little baggy in the shoulders on her. I anticipate needing a 2nd mortgage to afford this boys food as a teen.

Well I had an unexpected 5 hour stretch of sleep. I was planning on waking E up at 12:30 for a feed, but apparently I was dead to the world and didn't hear my alarm. She also slept through it so I guess we both were tired.
So I ended up waking up and starting her feeding at 2:15. Whoops. This is the longest stretch of sleep (5 hours) and time between feedings (6 hours) she's ever had.
She's been gaining well and eating well, so I'm not super concerned about it... it was just unintentional.
Not going to lie though, after this week, 5 hours of sleep was VERY nice.

dancerspose my gym takes them at 6 weeks but I didn't take K until she could walk. (So 10 months). They don't change diapers; and they get you if the child is crying more than 5 minutes. You get 1 hour if they are under 1 years old. And 2 if they are older.
This time I might consider it earlier; but I'm just hoping I can go at this when DH can watch them.
I love that he's such a tank littleredfish my LO is getting big too and seems massive compared to her sister. Beautiful babies--all 3!
loves2shop4shoes i can't wait until you get the ok to just let the girl (and yourself) sleep...
Also I realized (after 5 weeks) that Rs fussiness at night has changed from gas to reflux related. (Or maybe always was). Her grunting was turning more into choking and coughing and almost a wheezing sound. Last night she spit up twice and while I was holding her I could hear her fighting the regurgitation...poor bug.
Tonight I put her down at 9; she was up at 10:30 and I started freaking out over having another ridiculous night....so...I very slightly elevated the head of the bed and there was SO much improvement.! I'm hoping the rest of tonight goes well...and this helps her be more comfortable. She slept 11-3:30 so fingers crossed. The second wake up is always worse.
I'm starting to think N has some degree of reflux. It seems to be about an hour into his sleep we get either some spit up or grunting and squirming. Sometimes it wakes him up completely. During the day I tried his boppy lounger and it helped him get a good stretch of sleep. At night for the bassinet I put some large books under the head of the stand, but if he starts to squirm he wiggles down so I don't feel confident leaving it like this while I sleep. :/ I have to figure out a better solution.

Hope you're getting a break!
I got about 3 hours before he cried for his next feeding. I hope that this finds you waking up from a long restful sleep!
So the twins are sleeping about 3-3.5 hours stretches but it's by holding the babes while they sleep. G was in his RnP maybe a total of 30 minutes all night. Which also means my plans to wake up to pump weren't possible.

I am calling the pedi and raising hell today. 1 my toddlers limp is worse and I want a referral to an ortho. 2. My baby is miserable all night and I'm about 99.9% sure she has silent reflux. She's legitimately choking, gagging, coughing and has a stuffy nose all night. SOS I'm going to be a psycho mom if I ever get a doctor on the phone.
Anyone giving meds for reflux? Are they helping...? This poor baby needs some relief.
