Last night we took S into the bath with us. Of course she pooped in there... cue scrambling to get out. I just ordered a reusable swim diaper on Amazon and I hope it works. She loves the water and I enjoy snuggling in the tub with her.

I'm just so tired today. Only got a 4 hour stretch, followed by a 2, and then 45 minutes. She slept on my chest 4:45-7. She's 6 weeks old today, so I am hoping she starts to sleep a little longer soon. The reflux is SO much better since starting meds. The noisy breathing is different every night-so controlling the reflux has seemed to help so much.

We aren't headed to the allergist for DS1 this morning. I'm Going to insist on a skin test and hopefully we can figure out a better management strategy because what we are doing now isn't working. I'm hopeful! Also I just made a delicious smoothie for breakfast. I'm not really a breakfast person but DH is such a nag about it. So I can do a smoothie. Cute babies this morning, as usual.
We seem to be in a cycle of good sleep one night and day, bad sleep the next night and day. Currently she's nurse napping - which isn't really ideal with a toddler to take care of! It's 10:30, and I still haven't changed DS into real clothes. Eep!
H had to go in to his real office today - 2 hours away. I'm just hoping he's going to be home in time for bedtime. I know we'll live, but teething toddler becomes less fun as the day goes on...
Last night was kind of a $hit show. My H went to the Blackhawks game so I was on my own for bedtime, and it was much harder than the other times I've done it. Everyone was losing their minds and at one point I was in the bathtub with DS1 with DS2 in the k'tan, and then 45 minutes later DS1 ended up in his crib for the night with my phone and a handful of animal crackers. so exhausting. I'm on my own again tonight and will probably go to the store and pick up some wine and sushi so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
cosmicav- (hugs) for maternity leave ending soon. I'm over half way through and ignoring that fact most days.
I've got 2 babes that need to poop. G has been 2 days and O is day 3. Gave both warm baths and did tummy and butt massages to hopefully get things moving again. Neither seen mad or uncomfortable but DH gets uber paranoid.
I'm getting the urge to try on some pre-pg clothes but resisting for a bit longer to see if more fits. I haven't made time to work out so can't expect a lot. 😔 I think the urge is really I want some new clothes.
cosmicav hugs. I'm starting to panic about going back to work too. It's NOT fair. I love my job, but it's just not enough time off. I'm hoping it will be easier the second time.
We had a rough day yesterday. Lots of Spit up and a very angry baby. We're doing much better today so far! We were supposed to have dentists appointments today but they got switched to tomorrow. They said they sent us a letter in the mail but we never got it. Gerr.
flyinghorses6 So cute! They look so much alike I love it!
notagoddess So adorable. I love the little frills on the sleeper.
oldbaylover1024 I hope they give you some insight on the numbness. Also we had egg noodles last night and I will be having leftovers for lunch 😜
musicallyinclined Hope the allergist appointment is successful and you get some answers!
EmMilAlly All the wine for you. Sounds like DH owes you a night to yourself in the very near future.
@jacks605 I went on a mini shopping spree this weekend with gift cards I had saved from Christmas. I feel so much better with some new clothes! Go treat yoself!!
We've had a unicorn night/morning over here despite DD having the flu. She went to bed 30 minutes earlier than usual last night and slept all night. DS slept from 645-930 then from 10-4 then 5-8. And I've gotten the house cleaned AND showered this morning. Karma must be catching up to me today. Praise.
And now some pics of my little babes.
We call this the bat suit lol.
Also this popped up on my Timehop today of DD. Her cheeks kill me

I had a rough one last night. Rough.
DH is battling a cold and his voice is hoarse too. So I relegated him to the basement so he could sleep through the night without hearing me wake up to feed E. He won't get better if he's getting no rest!
I'm almost positive E is going through her 6 week growth spurt/sleep regression.
She usually slept 4-5 hours at a time at night after chowing down on 3-4 oz. of milk. Now she sleeps about 2-2.5 hours after eating 2.5 oz of milk. And I have to FORCE her to drink the last ounce and a half. She falls asleep so soon after starting the bottle that I gave to keep tickling her etc. to get her to eat even that much. Feedings are taking about an hour.
By the time she goes back down to sleep, she's only sleeping for about 2 hours, which means with pumping, I'm getting about 1-1.5 hours. I'm fucking exhausted. Thank God she's so cute.
I went out of my way (literally a 15 minute drive) to through the Starbucks drive thru this morning. Figured after last night I deserved the coffee. Half way home, I realized they fucked up my coffee order and I can't drink what they gave me. (Wrong milk, I'm allergic.) Now I'm tired and pissed off...
Grumpy as fuck, party of one, your table is ready.

Ugh cosmicav I get very emotional thinking about it too, and I have the full 12 weeks. I know yours is even shorter hugs lady
EmMilAlly that all sounds bad except the wine and sushi. That sounds wonderful. Hopefully tonight's easier!
@jacks605 I just got home from Marshall's with a handful of new tops and a new pair of pants--I'm hoping to start getting rid of some stuff this week and weekend. Nothing crazy; but definitely a clean out.

I'm a day late for TMI, but I'm going to share anyway. The workout I did today involved jumping jacks.... omg, so.much.pee. I really need to step up the kegels. And of course R was feeling out by the time I finished and wouldn't calm down, so here I sit feeding him in my pee pants.
Ok, who are these angel children? Sabine had 2 nice 4-4.5hr stretches of sleep after 3 days of cranky baby. I took a big gamble and we went to story time at the library and not a single fuss from Genevieve even though she decided she didn't want to sit and listen. She quietly and nicely played with the toys available and was great with other kids. Sabine slept on me in the k-tan the whole time. No problems leaving.
This whole day feels surreal. I might actually get laundry done!

I spy cute babies!
The good news: I'm cleared for exercise and sex.
The bad news: OB said the numbness isn't exactly normal. It's not totally abnormal, but it's not great news. I *should* get feeling back eventually - could be tomorrow, could be a year+. WTF... If it's over a year, then we'll go from there. WTAF...

musicallyinclined hope you get some answers at the allergist. What was in your smoothie?
cosmicav sorry for all the returning to work feels. I'm technically already supposed to be working part time from home, but my laptop isn't working so it's back with the IT people. Maybe I'd feel differently if I liked my job, but things have been pretty rough there the last two years. I'm stuck though. DH and I have an arrangement. I'm a miserable sellout to make the money while he does what he loves but makes a pittance now, but he'll be supporting us in our retirement while I get to find something I love (he'll have two really great pensions).
shawnabm1320 hope your DH makes it home before it's too late.
EmMilAlly so sorry for the rough night last night, hope today goes better!
@jacks605 I've tried some pre preg clothes and end up feeling so crappy the yoga pants go right back on...
staz sorry for the rough day yesterday, glad today is going better.
loves2shop4shoes so sorry for the rough night, and messed up coffee (way to rub salt on the wound). I hope YH feels better quickly so you can get some help.
billybumbler hope you're having a good date at starbucks.
monicageller HA, so sorry for the pee pants workout!
AFM - Z finally pooped 3 times yesterday so we had a much better night. She was down from about 11 until almost 6. She hasn't pooped yet today so I'm getting worried again. She really only seems comfortable when she goes every day.
I made it to the gym for the first time post Z (and probably for the first time in almost a year). It was rough, but felt good. Hopefully I'm not in too much pain tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll have time to go tomorrow with DH's dentist appointment and my hair appointment, but I hope to get back Friday. Unfortunately, I got some really unflattering views of myself in the multi-view mirrors at the gym...time to kick it into gear...
oldbaylover1024, liked for the good news. Boo to the bad. A year? That seems an awfully long time with numbness to take a "wait and see" approach. Any chance for a second opinion?
Post by oldbaylover1024 on Mar 22, 2017 13:09:53 GMT -5
Yeah... Nerves are weird. I had numbness after another surgery and it took almost a year to get feeling. So it didn't shock me. OB said if it spreads, we'll talk sooner.
