I'm up! P slept from 9:30-5, then 5:30-7:30. At 7:30 DD1 woke up so in feeding P in bed and DH is downstairs getting DD1 breakfast and packing her lunch for school.
I think Poppy and I might go shopping today. I want to walk down to the shops near us and try and find some new flip flops for summer and check out what is coming in for summer clothes for once I have lost the baby weight.
I really want to try going for a short run today but I'm afraid I will pee myself. Legit concerned, ugh.

I've been up for 2 hours now, DS woke up when DH was in the shower.
Today is my first day solo parenting. I showered, pumped, and drank coffee before DH left then ate breakfast and washed bottles and pump parts since DH got R back to sleep.
I was planning on taking R to a mommy and me class this morning but it is pouring outside, ugh.
Is there a way to not wash pump parts after every pump? I'm over washing them after every pump (I am EP with formula supplement) so I am washing them 3x a day since I have 2 sets of parts.
crazycatlady6 Same rules apply for storing breast milk for the pump parts is what I was told. So you can technically store them in the fridge for a few days without washing. I rinse mine a couple times a day and pop them in the fridge in a plastic bag but only full on wash them at night before bed but that's just my personal preference.
DS was up from 430 yesterday until 10 with only two 30 minute naps during that time. One of us was either rocking or walking him upright to help with his reflux during the time he was awake. Exhausting. He did sleep from 10-530 thank god but I'm calling the pedi today to nip this reflux in the bud.
@preppy I did some jogging intervals for the first time since having LO during my walk yesterday. It was scary but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I would wear a liner just in case but I say go for it!!

Edited for wrong tag.
I figure worst case I can stop and walk right? I will def wear a liner just in case. Of course now it's raining:/

crazycatlady6 - Pump, rinse with cold water if you want, and put in a Ziploc bag in the fridge. You can do this for a few days if you want. I sometimes go 18-24 hours between washes.

crazycatlady6 I only wash my pump parts once a day. In between pumps during the day they get wiped down (mostly the phalanges) of visible milk then tossed in a ziplock bag in the fridge. After my last pump at night they get washed. And once a week of every other week I sanitize them. I've been doing it this way for the last two months without any problems and it's a life saver. No way I could wash after every pump as an exclusive pumper. I even wash out the ziplock bag every few days to use the same one for up to a week so I don't waste too many bags.

It's raining here, but I think it's supposed to be nice later. Hopefully we can go outside this afternoon. I still haven't gotten H to put my bleeping double stroller together. I might start that during nap time. I mean, it's got to be mostly assembled already, right?
I told H that DS keeps trying to ramp his bike off everything, and H's response was "cool!" I can feel my hair turning grey already.

Ugh. Before 9am here we were on ou second outfit change of the day. Z started her gas induced wake up at 3:30 this morning and could not be consoled. DH took her downstairs and started to feed her when she had her first diaper explosion of the day. He came upstairs to get me to help, but by that time she was wide awake. I went back up to get to get more rest before my 6am pump and DH played with her until about 5 when she finally started to fall asleep. I got back up at 5:45 and pumped. When I got back upstairs she was starting to do her gassy fussing again. I gave up at 7 and took her back downstairs letting DH sleep. He came down about 8:45 and started to feed her - cue diaper explosion #2 of the day. I'm glad she's pooping, but come on! Plus, I'm exhausted. I was hoping to hit the gym again today, but I might wait until tomorrow. I have to go return something to the mall so Z and I may go walk around there while DH goes to the gym.
We had a rough night. We started LO on Zantac Friday night and she hasn't pooped since. So she's not happy or really sleeping. Poor thing! We're going to my work today to meet everyone. Hopefully she cooperates!

I'm up. Just fed E. Now trying to pump and feed myself.
I was texting with H this morning and now I just feel sad. He said he wants me to tell him about my feelings but didn't feel like I handled it in a productive way last night and made him feel like nothing he does is right. I thank him every day for being so hands on and involved with E, for all he does around the house, for schlepping an hour each way to work. I dole out praise often. I feel like whenever I express upset/disappointment, though, that's the only thing he ever fixates on.
I feel like a bad wife and a hypercritical shrew now. Simultaneously, I feel like I should be able to express disappointment without it nullifying all of the praise I do give him.
Ugh. I think we're going to have to up the marriage counseling from biweekly to weekly.

S figured out that she hates being put down, so that has been fun. I just took a 5 minute shower while she cried But I had to shower since I called my OB and will probably have to come in, and I'm not going to do that without a shower. I'm still bleeding a good amount.
I got very frustrated with her twice this weekend. Once when she required holding and rocking throughout the night, and once yesterday anticipating another difficult night after a day without naps off of me. But she slept okay and my husband helped a lot. I'm feeling less desperate. I need to remember that with a baby things keep changing from day to day.
So we had it yesterday with LO1's accidents so we put her in a pull up for the night because I was so tired of washing her bedding every bleeping day. We told her if she can go all week we'll go back to underwear. I'm gonna ask the pedi tomorrow about it while there for the twins 2 month appt. I know accidents out of no where can be a sign of a UTI but I think it's her being a ties because her accidents only happen at home and zero at daycare.
dancerspose Have you tried any drops for the gas? We started probiotic drops in one bottle a day two weeks ago and can tell a big difference. I hope the gassiness settles soon for you!

How long did it take you to notice an improvement? We just started probiotic drops once a day on Friday.

Thanks pivot! I'm really hoping. A lot of people have told me probiotics helped with gas, but I didn't realize it could take that long so I was getting worried.

DS had a good night but decided bedtime was party time so DH stayed up for the party. I was so tired, the kids were on a rampage yesterday and I handled them alone because he's experiencing death by runny nose.
It needs to stop raining so I can get the kids out of the house.

ILs are taking DD1 to the zoo today for special grandparent time, so we'll just have the baby. I think I may have overdone it cleaning the house in preparation for the visit. I woke up dizzy last night and super sweaty. Been chugging water all night trying to catch up. How is your numbness oldbaylover1024? Any improvement?
Today is my last Monday at home before returning to work. I'm having all the feels. Part of me is so ready for adult conversation and being able to eat lunch in peace without having someone nagging or crying at me while I shovel food in my face. The other part of me is not ready to return to the grind. B is just starting to get really smiley and I'm going to miss his chubby face all day.

We've got rain for the next two days. I gotta get this toddler out of the house. She has gymnastics tomorrow (she stopped limping last week so I think she can go), and then Wednesday I think we will try our first tunes for tots since I had the baby. I just gotta go for it, and hope she behaves and the baby cooperates.
I just got home from the gym and I feel so good. I did my first body pump class, did some treadmill intervals and my core rehab. I feel better than I look; but I am hoping all of this will pay off soon. It is mentally helping which is huge.
dancerspose we have the same life...our fussiness started at 4, got her back down but only until 4:45 then we snuggled until 7:30. It's not that she's inconsolable, she's just fussing, and scooting around trying to fart. She also had a poop explosion this morning for DH.
staz I heard Zantac can do that. We are on Prilosec, and haven't had any issues. Sorry you're coming off a rough night. Hopefully tonight's better.
notagoddess these babies get smart quickly!! It's ok to be frustrated. I get that way too. Especially when I'm over tired. Hugs! You've got this.
ellabee I can't believe you're back to work already, time needs to slow down!! What a cutie!!

sweetieheart32 - Numbness is still bad. It's from my bellybutton down to my incision. Just waiting it out, hoping it gets better as I increase my exercise routine.

We went to the zoo yesterday which was a bad idea. DS1 came home with a 102° fever. We took him to quick care, swollen tonsils but not strep or the flu. DS2 spit up like old faithful 3 times yesterday. 1 time while in the carrier all over me. Holy crap, we will be talking reflux meds at his 2 month check up. He also did it while nursing in bed last night but I didn't wake up so I woke up with a wet shirt and dried spit up all over my boobs. Trying to catch up with everyone.
