Lol, I definitely missed that this was part of the equation. When I was pregnant I ate ALL the Tuna Helper.
I always keep a box of tuna helper in my cabinet just in case our dinner plans fall through. We only eat it maybe once every few months but it's still good!
Ok I tried to find the recipe with Google but failed I can type it up for you if you're interested
I'm interested if you've got some time!
I dunno I'm pretty busy ;-)
3lbs roast- cubed (stew meat what ever you have on hand) You dry the meat off with a paper towel. sprinkle with garlic powder (I don't put an amount because either you like it or you dont. 1 teaspoon was more than efficient IMO) Then dust with 2 T of flour. Toss the meat with flour. Brown meat in a large sauce pan coated with oil. (10 minutes) Remove meat from the pan and add 1 chopped onion I also put 1T butter in. (i always do the yellow onions) Cook those down and scrape the brown bits off the bottom of the pan. (3-5 minutes) Add 1/4 cup of sherry (this made it easier I think to scrape the bottom of the pan) put the beef back into the pan with the onions and sherry. Add 2 cups of beef broth, and 1t rosemary and cover pan, reduce heat, and cook for 1-1.5 hours until meat is tender) While that's cooking saute a package of whatever mushrooms you like in some butter add in with the beef cooking (about a half hour into the cooking process) When the meat is tender the recipe said to add 1T of flour to thicken the sauce but no, go cornstarch. Mix 1t with a little bit of broth from the pan. Stir in 1/2 cup of sour cream and serve over egg noodles or whatever tickles your fancy.

staryb we'll have lots of ham this weekend, too. It's the whole Easter thing. And I don't really like ham, so...I eat lots of potatoes and all the other goodies!
