Induction day here! Have to call the hospital at 3pm CST to make sure we still are scheduled for 5pm. My mom and sister will be here later today to watch the kids. Otherwise it's just a sweep, mop, and quick cleaning the house day.
Nervous!! I'll let you know when we go in today! T&P please

T&Ps. I'm so excited for you.
Thank you! I couldn't sleep last night praying everything goes smoothly and DH will stop stressing over every little thing right now from work to bills.
Today the tiny human inside me just HAD to have a chocolate cake donut, so to Dunkin Donuts we went. I got a dozen to share with the teachers at school, and then remembered the majority of them are doing a "Biggest Loser" competition. Whoops! So today I am devil's advocate...
In other happy spam, my husband came home yesterday after being gone all week for work, and I slept so nicely (minus the potty breaks)! Even the dog slept better.

I'm sure you couldn't. I'm sending up prayers it will. DHs never stop stressing lol, it's apart of their job.

Lol...yep I know! I'm coming to terms that I'm the optimistic one in the marriage. Having a rough few weeks at work on top of this unplanned induction probably hasn't helped any. It will work out and as long as Raegan is fine I think he will too.
I slept better last night which is great! I was still up at least 3 times but thats normal. My spam... I debated calling in sick today. I'm too nice. Going to work after all. But. I have for sure decided that i will take next Friday off. It's just too much... I'm going to do the 35 week check in from work. It's too much work to do all that on my phone. Have a great day ladies and good luck mom2xover2002 !!! T & P to you!!
mom2xover2002 - so exciting! I wouldn't have been able to sleep at all either. Thoughts and prayers everything goes smoothly and you come home with a health LO soon!
Going out with a group of girlfriends tonight as a "last hurrah" before baby comes. They are all single and think that my life is basically over now that I'm having a baby. Haha.
Picking up some supplies after dinner tonight and remembered someone told me to get dermoplast to help with going to the bathroom after labor. Is there a specific kind any of you BTDT moms can recommend? Also going to pick up some cooling cloths because I get so overheated when stressed/in pain.

I had the EXACT same thought of calling in sick today. But then I realized my girlfriends would probably be posting pics of us out to dinner on my FB tonight and I would get the super sideeye from coworkers on Monday. Haha.

Happy Friday!
Woke up to some tightening sensations in my abdomen, they kind of went away as I was getting ready for work, then came back in the car, with more intensity, but now that I'm at work they're gone again. I'm assuming Braxton Hicks, the first ones I've experienced, or that I've noticed. Anyway, 36 weeks tomorrow, and a small milestone for me, because at 36 weeks my midwife's are comfortable with me delivering at the birth center, not the hospital. I know there are still dozens of things that would prevent my out-of-hospital birth, but it's nice to have on hurdle down My awesome coworkers threw me a shower yesterday. Between that, and my shower on Saturday, it looks a lot like BRU exploded all over my house. Leh sigh.
modernfairytale8709 sounds like BH to me. I just started having them yesterday as well. Freaked me out a bit, and I'm still having them today. I think once they come they are here to stay. No fun! I feel you on the BRU explosion. Poor DH has made so many trips to the dump with boxes.
Good morning! H has today off and I am hoping is coworker can come over and install the ceiling light in the baby room. That is the last major thing that really needs to get done. Wahoo.
I finished the book I was reading last night, but it was one of those I was happy to finish reading so I could move on to something better. I had high hopes for it since it was receiving a lot of press, but it just wasn't my type of book. Station Elevenis the book. Now to choose my next book hmmm.
Good luck today, mom2xover2002. I'll be thinking of you!
I have my work baby shower today, which I'm excited for. I adore my coworkers and will really miss them while I'm on maternity leave. I hope they didn't do anything crazy for gifts- I have everything I need and would be thrilled with just a cupcake and an hour to sit around and joke with work friends.
I'm getting a wax (owie!) and a haircut tomorrow and am thinking about a drastic change (as long as I can still put my hair up). I'm so booooored with my hair now. I also have a formal English tea to go to tomorrow afternoon at this super fancy hotel in Boston- I'm thinking that might be my last dress-up occasion for the foreseeable future- at least until a black tie gala we have in late-March- so I might as well enjoy it!
Anyone else have anything exciting going on this weekend?
izzy0927, I'm with you on the "debating drastic change" front... I only wash my hair twice a week but MAN every time I do I get SO winded... my concern is that I probably have at MOST 5 more washings left before baby and will I really want short hair when I can comfortably wash it again?!
mom2xover2002, GOOD LUCK! You'll be in all our hearts today!
No spam yet! I have my performance review in 10 so we'll see how that goes! Also, my company has NOT put in their HSA contribution for the year yet and I'm starting to worry I won't have it in time for DD...

Thinking of you and your family! Hope all goes perfectly
Nothing much to report here today. I am hoping to stay on the couch today because yesterday I was at DH's office all day working. I haven't had a full day working in nearly 3 months! It's exhausting.
We are going out to dinner tonight with my parents for a celebratory "baby's almost here" dinner. I think it will be fun!

Good luck mom2xover2002. hope your induction goes smoothly.
aggiebug I am currently reading the Edge of Eternity - the 3rd book in the Ken Follett most recent trilogy. It is good - I really liked the other two - but it is GIGANTIC and weighs like 5 lbs. So I need to finish it so I can stop carting it back and forth to work as it is getting to be a struggle
AFM: went to see the musical Newsies last night. Baby seemed to like the music, so I have to start playing more show tunes so she really gets the musical theater love (AND THUS decides to stay in until her EDD because I have Wicked tickets for the night before...)
We are about to go skiing/eat french fries in the chalet! DD is having a horrendous tantrum and I am in a grouchy mood myself so its going to be rough but we want to try and do a few more things as a family of 3. Oh and I had a filling break last night. Arg! Dentist on Tuesday.
I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and my blood pressure was really high and stayed pretty high throughout the appointment. I've always had low b.p., so I was shocked. I have to go back in this morning to get it checked and I think they're going to do a NST as well? Eeek, I've been feeling pretty crummy, but was not expecting this.
My day is off to a great start. I actually walked out of my house this morning with no shoes on, just slippers and didn't realize it until I was halfway to the office. I called my sister on her day off to come to our office and bring me flats. I'm just going to blame this on pregnancy brain

Sorry about your HBP. Hope you get some better news today. Are you feeling any better this morning?

That's scary! Keep us posted- ts&ps that it was just a fluke yesterday.

Thanks! I'm hoping it was just a weird fluke? I'm feeling pretty good this morning. I slept normally for the first time in weeks somehow, despite freaking out a little.

Contractions here all morning. Close enough for the hospital but not quite intense enough. I sent H to work anyway because I'm sure they'll die down (they always do). But this is getting frustrating.
TFI Friday, have to go to the office for 6 more days then it's PJ all day everyday time.
Saw my bill for the hospital run from 2 weeks ago- just north of $1500! Shit deductible is so high, it's like nothing is covered. I hate my evil company.
Good luck mom2xover2002. hope your induction goes smoothly.

I am listening to the 2nd book in that series currently the narrator is fantastic as is the book.
I think I am going to pick up a light fluffy book to actually read.
So jealous of you seeing Newsies! I haven't seen it yet. Have you seen Wicked? It is awesome
