I feel really lame because i always use the I've been to Japan three times one for these so let me think of a new one.
This October i will have driven the same car (nissan xterra) for 10 years. I love my car. i can't see myself ever not loving it. I know one day it will die and i probably will cry. I've had it for so long i won't know what to do without it. I've gone through college with it and now married family life.

I'm apparently not very interesting. When I was 3 months old my family moved to Berlin Germany for 3 years (my dad was in the ARMY) I collect penguins...I have probably close to 300 different items.

When I was 19 I borrowed my dad's 1998 Impala SS and drag raced it (legally) all night at the track. He didn't know until I broke down from guilt and told him 3 days later.
I skipped first grade and ended up graduating high school at 16 and undergrad at 20. I'm so smart
Me too - well I skipped 8th - and had a late birthday so was aways 1-2 years younger than my friends.
Would you ever let your kid skip a grade? I don't think I would. I hated being the youngest in the class - and not driving until right before HS graduation and not being 18 my first year at college sometimes sucked.
I was young too. I started 1st a year early, graduated HS at 17 & college less than 2 mo after I turned 21. I hated being the youngest (though I suppose it did keep me out of bars in college). I think I'd let my kid skip a grade or start early *if* s/he was really mature emotionally. Then I'd make sure they took time to do something awesome as a young adult, like travel, study abroad, or work a cool job in a great city or something. I think I rushed through school and ended up getting a MS in something I didn't want to do, then having to go back and get a 2nd BS & MS to do what I really wanted.
You ladies are far cooler than I am. I feel like I only have one secret cool card, which is only cool in certain circles...and not something I'd post online.
Among the less cool things you wouldn't know about me: I did some...hm, freelance? modeling back in college to help pay the bills, and I stopped after I ended up on a porn site. (Lingerie/swimsuits. No nudes.) I was specifically told that's not what the pictures were for, but when I got the check I googled the company and found the site. I told the photographer that my dad found out and threatened to cut me off if the pictures weren't taken down. The guy immediately removed the pictures and explained that it was a mistake -- I kind of almost believe him? It was literally every picture from the memory card, nothing had been edited -- there were blurry shots, closed eyes, tons of pictures that were essentially exactly the same. Compared to the other girls on the site, my set of pics stuck out like a sore thumb (too conservative...and unedited). Regardless, I got totally creeped out & realized that I'd learned a valuable lesson the hard way. I was really fucking naive.

I can pick things up with my toes too. It annoys DH.
The only other thing I can really think of is I have a chapter in a textbook I wrote with a group about how environmental changes like global warming and natural disasters effect mental health.
I have some crazy misophonia. I have a hard time eating dinner with people in quiet places because I get so ragey I could choke sometime. It's pretty horrible.

I thought of something else. I really enjoy working on cars, my husband knows nothing of cars so I get the do all the fixing. Same with household projects or fixing the lawnmower or snowblower.

I went to school in Switzerland the summer of 2001. The city the school was in ended up being a major hot-spot for Al Qaeda and planning 9/11. We were high school age and went all over the city by ourselves just being dumb teenagers. It's weird looking back on that and realizing we were right there and had no freaking idea.
When I was really young, I could speak french fluently because I was in an immersion program. Then we moved to NOVA, I went to a regular school without immersion, and lost it all.
Other than that, I got nothin'. Some of you ladies have some awesome talents/experiences.

I love that I'm surrounded by such a cool group!!
Mine is that I am the voice of one of the kids on the "Psalty the singing songbook" tapes released in 1995. It was the "Ezra, Ezra read all about it" one. It was my only time in a recording studio. Pretty sweet!!
I can sing and talk with my mouth closed. This works out well when snorkeling and giving directions underwater... Although I have ruined many gopro vids with my talking. Haha
I used to teach at The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium when I graduated from college and I got to handle a ton of really cool animals (baby alligators, a cheetah, an anteater to name a few). I miss that job!
I'm also on the bandwagon of graduating early...I started kindergarten when I was four (I could read at three) and started undergrad at seventeen. I had a love/hate relationship with being the "baby," but even starting early I was bored in school so I would probably let my child do that as well or skip a grade if they needed to.

I used to be the "go-to" girl to sing the National Anthem for military retirement and promotion ceremonies when I worked at the Pentagon. It started as a fluke when a woman I worked with said her person backed out and did anyone know how to sing...I volunteered. It kind of snowballed from there all through word of mouth.
Add me to the list of being able to Pick things up with my toes.
Otherwise when I was younger I was doing a handstand and making a goofy face sticking my tongue out. Well I fell and bit chunks out of the sides of my tongue that are still very prominent today.
I did something similar where i bit off the tip of my tongue so now its super short and has a sort of heart shape at the top
I have some crazy misophonia. I have a hard time eating dinner with people in quiet places because I get so ragey I could choke sometime. It's pretty horrible.
So much this!! I only learnt what it was called today! I hate it my husband manages to sound like everything he eats is bits of rock and crunchy ice even if its not even that texture.
You ladies are all so talented and interesting! I for one can't thing of anything other than this for the moment: I have 3 kidneys. All 3 work independently, but 2 are connected so I can't donate any if I wanted to.
I can pick things up effortlessly with my toes and can write pretty well with my feet. This is particularly useful right now as bending over is currently a bitch.
Samesies! We have the same ridiculous talent. ::high five::

My husband and I sail. We worked our asses off on a *free* boat (no boat is ever free) and have really made her into something over the years. We actually met at our high school that was geared towards aquaculture and naval architecture. I was going there because I wanted to be a marine biologist and he was going there because he loved boats. We were on the sailing team together, and now we both love boats and so does our kiddo. We plan to live aboard once the kids are a bit older (note, on a different boat, we've already outgrown our current one).
I also used to keep fish tanks as a hobby. Unfortunately, when we moved into this house, we dismantled the tanks and I haven't gone ahead to bite the bullet and sink money into them again. I sorely miss the hobby and intend to get back into it once this kiddo is born.
And, most important thing you don't know about me: I have a series of freckles shaped like a dog.
H and I were on The Newlywed Game show a few years ago and won a trip to Barbados. When the makeup artists were doing me up before filming they had to wipe everything off and start over because I'm so pale that all of their foundation was too dark on me and looked ridiculous. They had to get creative and combine a couple of things to find something that worked. Oh and all the men had their make up done too which was pretty hilarious, they hated it, and when a couple of them wiped some off they were sent back to have it reapplied.

That's one of my stupid human tricks too lol, I also have a nerve crossed so if I bend my big toe my middle toe bends too but only my right foot
I hate stickers, nametags or anything adhering to me. I've always been this way- my mother started noticing it when I was a toddler. I would throw myself on the ground and cry and when I could speak I would tell my mom I could smell the stickers or feel it crawling off me. Very strange I know.
Thats not very neat or cool. But I feel it's unique.
krystaloowho I feel you! I hate stickers and adhesives as well. I don't think I ever threw a tantrum as a kid over them but I hate the thought of them on me or on my clothes. My family makes fun of me.

My husband has 4 tanks working right now. They are beautiful! He really picked up the hobby as soon as we moved to this new place. What type of tanks do you have/plan to have?

me too, to all of this!
Also, add me to the list of people with toe skills. I love my monkey feet... and sometimes, when DH is good and distracted, I'll pinch him with them and it freaks him right the f*ck out, and I get a good laugh out of it. I know, I'm terrible.

AleWife I don't have a protein skimmer or adequate filter for salt right now so only freshwater until I have the money to get back into salt. Before we moved I had a really great 30 gallon planted and would like to do something similar because of all of the colors that the kiddos can enjoy. I also have two tens, a twenty, and a fifty five. I won't be setting all of those up though, and while I'd loooooove to set up the 55, that is more of a monetary commitment than I can make for some time. I'd need to buy new filters and lights and a shit ton of flooring. So I think I'll go with the thirty, and maybe put a ten in E's room.
