hashtagrainbow I'd be suspicious of his intentions but I don't know him. He should be soaking up all the time he can with her right now not sending her away.
bluedot I'd be okay with going to a party the day before yours. You can get your ducks in a row ahead of time, and it might actually make it so you don't procrastinate and stress last minute. Plus, how long does a first birthday party even last? But I would bring exactly what I wanted to in terms of gift/cash/whatever. Give a gift receipt; they can turn your little people airplane into cash money for the 529.

It's from 2-5pm supposedly they invited 80ish people and it's at a clubhouse. Wowza.

I obviously can't speak for your XH, but it's possible for someone to do such a thing. Every time I'm upset I tend to give the kids to DH and isolate myself. I feel like I can't handle being with them, even when I'm upset because I feel like I don't spend enough time with them or something.
He did look like he had been crying when I picked her up.

I'd go. It might be fun! And you have the morning and evening to prep. Realistically, how much can you do with t crawling around anyway?
Birthday party done! It was a success. My little cake was not my best work ever, but worked out ok in the end. Will post some photos of everything in the Birthday AW thread soon.
I think I ended up really liking the two day birthday thing. It was like we got to have a private family birthday on the day and a big group birthday today. I was annoyed to have to compromise and have the party not on the day of his birthday.

You all remember my stepbrother that had the accident a year ago in October..I haven't posted an update in a long time but I just had to share
This is his first time holding G! They were in a race to see who could walk first and uncle camryn did it first! He still uses his walker but can do short distances alone so he's come so far since his accident!

Sorry your plans changed, hashtagrainbow, but I might have done the same as your ex. News that my ex was moving and it'd be harder to see my child regularly (and for him to see the kids) would upset me so much I wouldn't feel I could care for the kids until I processed it more. Perhaps he's doing the same?
I wouldn't handle it well, even if I knew it was for the best.

I'm watching Magic Wings with DS. They have footage of a bat who just gave birth nursing while hovering and getting nectar from a flower. I feel inept compared to her.
There was also hilarious footage of very pregnant bats flying around with big bumps.

You're exactly right rondackhiker. He just sent me this text: "U can't understand this. My heart broke into a million pieces on the deck earlier. I need the time to be able to make sure I enjoy the weeks left w her. I have to grieve about this bc it's a big deal and I'm hurting #rainbow."
Visited ikea for the first time ever yesterday. It was like a pinintrest version of adult Disney land for me.. Sad but true!
ciaomama DS did something similar to me last week except his rock hard head busted my lip. He dared to look at me like *i* did it. Luckily kiddos are apparently made of rubber and their boo boos and owies feel better pretty quickly

I don't know what's wrong with babyG, probably jbb but he's been a total cranky-pants today, like I needed to put him in his crib and go sit in the other room for a couple. I was getting tearyeyed because I felt like a failure today. I think he was just tired/hangry so I fed him as much as he wanted, gave him some Motrin in case of belugas and put him to bed early. He went out almost immediately.

TTM about the BRU trade-in. I have a seat to trade in that is expired (from nephew). Do they give a coupon for the 25%? Does it have to be used the same day, or can I use the 25% off another day?
DD just had hummus for the first time and now her chin and a bit around her mouth is red. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm wondering if it could be from the spices in the hummus rather than an allergy.
My H and just found out that we both have to work on W's birthday (Wednesday). I thought he'd have off and I'd be home by 3.
Soooooooo we're throwing an impromptu party tomorrow while my mom is here! I'm still bummed that W will be at daycare all day on her birthday, but excited about tomorrow. I plan on ransacking Party City, baking something and going nuts with icing, and putting her in her tutu. Yay!

iwubrory - I can't give DD1 hummus or she gets that same kind of red irritation on her skin arround her mouth. I have tried all kinds. I just don't give it to her, which is sad because she loves it.

This happens to Isaac if it's spicy food. Was it a spicy hummus? We usually do plain.
No, it was plain. I'm reading online and others who've experienced it think it could be the acud from the lemon juice or garlic. Some say tahini. Obviously nothing concrete. I really hope it's not the chickpeas since they're legumes and related to peanuts.

hashtagrainbow - I only ask because it is a hard one. You might sit down and pencil a few things out when you are ready. I don't mean to alarm you, this is just a particular tricky issue for some parents. It would probably be worth your time to visit with an attorney to give you some ideas about setting up your parenting schedule. ((Hugs)) I know this is really hard.

Isaac had that reaction with cinnamon the first time and has been fine ever since. Makes sense it could be lemon.
Maybe I'll try it again in a few days. She liked it and it has sooo many calories which she really needs.
