Today, ended up being a bonus day off for me, so I'm all
But then about 5 minutes after waking up, I was all
And all my poor kid wants to do is go to Billy Bees
So I'm trying to figure out what to do with him that doesn't involve an hour drive and crawling around on my hands and knees through germ central all day.
Me last night minding my own business, trying to eat a chocolate chip cookie,
Me watching that commercial where the little boy throws paper airplanes with notes to his dad (who is deployed) over the fence and his neighbor sends them to his dad, and then throws paper airplanes with his dad's reply back over the fence... and omg I am literally crying writing this and not a small amount.

Yesterday at work we had a tanker truck of plasma delivered. My idiot coworker dropped the tanker truck plug into a vat of cow plasma and the poor trucker had to literally jump into a tank of 200 gallons of cow plasma to dig it out. I almost vomited thinking about it.
Me after starting to look into daycare last night:
Why would you do that!? Don't know you it is just depressing!
Oh, I knew the cost. My biggest problem is that I was hoping for a home daycare, but I have no clue how to go about it. I mean yeah there are directories and craigslist, but I don't know how accurate they are. Also should I start looking as early with a home daycare or should I wait until 5 months or so?

Where the fuck do you work? Why do you have tankers of cow plasma? So many questions here!

Home daycares generally don't fill up months in advance, and there are certainly more of them. The best with these, since they arent rated the same way, is good old fashioned word of mouth.

I wish I knew some pregglies then. None of my friends have ever been knocked up and the only one who has is a SAHM.
We are actually finally getting married this weekend. What was supposed to be us, the kids, and a few close friends has turned into something much bigger. I still have so many little things to get done and no time to do them. So this is me...

We actually asked at a local church if they had any recommendations as we were new to the area. Both times we had good luck. Most times they know quite a few and are happy to share the info. Wasn't even our church.

I am no help with this. I am too picky about the doggy day care we send our pups to, I can't even begin to think what I will be like when I have to find one for our child.
I am already at the point that as long as my kid isn't being shoved into some basement, then it's good enough. Mom of the year over here.

Congratulations! I hope your wedding day goes smoothly and you enjoy yourself.

Is there a Facebook group you could reach out to and ask for recommendations? I am in a local attachment parenting FB group and people post there all the time asking about in home care.
We found our in home daycare on Craigslist. I was incredibly skeptical about it but then we met our provider and realized she was wonderful and a perfect fit for our family! We asked for references and followed up on those to help assuage our fears.
She only has 4 daycare kids and her two daughters (10 and 12 years old) and husband help with all of them. LO gets so much more personal attention than she ever would at a daycare center and it's half the cost!

This is why I'm leaning towards home care. I scoped out craigslist and I was skeptical as well. I used to advertise as a nanny on it, so I know it's not all bad.

I work at a company that repurposes slaughterhouse plasma into nutritional products for animals. Not my ideal job but it was the best I could find after being laid off a year ago. Looking like crazy for something new but in the meantime I am stuck with cow plasma!

That's actually kinda cool. Never would have known that was a thing.

I teared up a little just reading this.
I'm done for if that friggen yellow lab anti-drunk driving PSA from Budweiser ever comes on again. I heard it on the radio the other day and it made me sad. I'm screwed if I ever have to see it on TV again. I balled my eyes out watching it BEFORE I was pregnant!
