Oh dear! That is upsetting, both of you @ssstepanie214 and tacocat! After delivery, I was so sore I couldn't sit on a firm chair for a week. And that was purely due to the butt pain. Omg, why doesn't anybody talk about that?! I would like to have been prepared, at least mentally. At any rate, it got progressively better, and now I call myself healed. I stopped the colace at about 7 weeks. I hope your painless poops are around the corner! Everybody deserves that -

My butt is doing ok... but in the last week or so my vagina area has gotten sore... especially when I stand up from a squatting position. It feels like pressure not stinging. I wasn't having problems with this before, it has just appeared. Anyone else experience anything like that?
I was sore for over a month.. Stopped Motrin a few weeks after delivery. Started working out( nothing too crazy) a week or 2 ago. Pretty much feeling back to normal at this point
This is my way of asking if you're totally recovered from delivery.
I feel like I'm not. I haven't had a painless poop since the event.
Me either, eight weeks out. It's better but still painful. I sit in a hot bath for fifteen minutes after each shower and I use preparation h cream a couple times a day. I'm trying to drink lots of water, eat fruits and vegetables, whole grains, but it's not enough. I'm down to one small external hemorrhoid but I think it's an internal problem now.
I'm also doing a fiber supplement on my morning coffee and stool softeners.
Another c-section mamma and I have a few hemorrhoids that don't seem to want to go away but it doesn't hurts so that's a plus. I'm just happy I'm not in the same boat as my daycare lady, one of her kiddos ripped her from hole to hole. Ouch!!!!
I still have a hemmi hanging out down there......it needs to go the fuck away now. I was on the coalace for almost 2 months after having him. I think I quit taking them about 9 weeks postpartum, and I had some issues right after stopping them, but now I am doing better.
Its not hurting me anymore @ 10 weeks postpartum, but its still there. Now that I am trying to lose weight, I think eating all the salads, veggies and yogurt is helping me.
I had/have a hemmi a few weeks ago. Only noticed the stinging then, and it was bleeding a little (sorry TMI). Got some PepH and it doesn't hurt as much now.. still on colace though. I don't think the colace is working very well for me, though. Need some salads!!
So no, my butt isn't quite normal. *7w PP if you're on mobile
I still get these little tug feeling in my abdomen once in a while. Kind of like mini after pains. And the lochia....will it ever ever go away? I am 3 mo postpartum.
I was just thinking about this, I never had any problems during my pregnancy but I feel like I have hemmis now...can they be internal? I don't have any external ones but have been having pain and some bleeding (sorry for TMI!) i guess I should start the colace back up again. I assume it's ok to take while breastfeeding since they gave it to me in the hospital. I am 9 wks pp fyi

This is what happened to me and I'm 12 weeks out after a csection. Colace it is....

Ugh lochia. Eight weeks here and it's just a yellow discharge but it feels like it will never go away.
Every once in awhile I still feel a weird tug like a stitch is pulling. No wonder we haven't successfully DTD yet.
tacocat-im sorry that you are also experiencing this, it super sucks. I am glad to hear I'm not the only one with butt problems though, it must be pretty common!

I had the pressure feeling down there too. It was worse at night. Like a heavy feeling! Sometimes it would take me forever to pee because of it. It is slowly going away each day. 9 weeks pp.
I never, ever thought that the hardest part of my recovery would be from my butt. Seriously, and it took forever to feel better. Colace did not help ever during my pregnancy and I was completely unable to 'go' after either. I had to use a true laxative and suppository to jump start things (sorry- TMI but seriously it was bad). Fast forward almost 10 weeks and I'm still not 'regular' but the Hs are gone and I can sit comfortably.

Yes they can be internal, mine are and they rip anew every time I go (TMI... you started it). Colace is safe. I'm afraid to take a laxative. Feel better

Glad to know I'm not alone with these symptoms. I see my OB soon and am going to ask her about these things but in the mean time, all this sounds pretty normal for us. Hope you (and everyone else) gets back tip top soon!
Glad I'm not the only one with lochia discharge still. I thought maybe this would just be my new normal. I'm afraid of a laxative too, just because I don't want to become dehydrated. Dehydration = low supply
I was terrified to use a laxative and was advised by a nurse to do it. She said it was safe to use while bf. H got me dulcolax gentle I think. I was desperate and only needed to use it once.
