That sounds exhausting! Hopefully she's good for you at work. How many days a week are you having dd in daycare again?
I'm starting with two days in September and adding a third the week after her birthday. MIL is going to watch her on Mondays and DH typically home with her on Saturdays.
Not much going on here. It's technically my weekend off, but I'm working tomorrow afternoon. I need to get the oil in my car changed, haven't decided if I'm going to do that today or not.
Baby question. At our 9mo appt last week the pedi was saying that I should try and get LO down to 3 bottles in a day and the rest be real food. How much milk/formula/real food do you think you ladies are giving your babes? To me 3 bottles just seems a bit crazy. I'd say we are at about 36oz total of formula, with 4-5 bottles in a day. I'm still on purees and small bits of food as we have no teeth yet. He does like the baby food, but I have a hard time getting him to eat a lot of it. Guess I'll have to maybe start offering the baby food first before his bottles, maybe that'll make a difference?
IMHO, 3 bottles a day is not enough for a 9 month old. We have started offering purees/table food to DS2 more often but we also try and get him 30oz of BM a day. I cut him off at night so during the week, he nurses once in the morning and once at bedtime and has three bottles of 6oz BM at day care. On the weekend, I nurse on demand, whenever he seems to be hungry.
I would offer more food but keep offering him milk as well and let him set the pace on how much milk he wants. I also recently started giving DS2 pouches rather than spoon feeding him (I let him suck the pouch down while I hold it and gently squeeze it) and it's much easier to feed him with a pouch.
So this morning I heard dd awake in her room, but she wasn't fussing at all so I laid in bed. I thought to myself how nice it was she was playing by herself. When I finally went and got her up, I soon found out it was because she was making a ginormous disgusting crap. DH seriously is never around for the super nasty craps. Seriously, how can something so small and cute make something so gross. The smell is still stuck in my nostrils.
DS2 has actually been sleeping decently the last two nights so I'm actually feeling well rested for once. Plus, I worked out for the very first time in forever last night and it feels great. Definitely want to make this a habit. (Let's see how sore my body is tonight though)

That's nice you'll be able to ease into it a bit!
Yeah, that's what I figured too. I wasn't originally planning to start her until October but when daycare said they could do 2 days I thought why not make a slow transition.
ajh1230 TP to your H. I hardly slept last night, in part because I drank too much and that makes it hard to fall back to sleep, and mostly because I have a million things to worry about. When DS woke for the day at 6:30, I handed him to DH so I could get 20 more minutes, and, of course he was a jerk about it. I didn't even respond. I just walked off and hoped DS didn't eat the cat food. My mom and brother are coming over for breakfast today, so that should be fun! Then I have a hot date with a nap this afternoon. Finally taking that advise to sleep when the baby sleeps.
That nap date sounds awesome. Now I want movie popcorn in bed...
****runs to check if we still have popcorn****we do!! I'm totally having popcorn in bed later.
I was unexpectedly called in to work yesterday. I didn't have a sitter so I had to take DD. Then i had an event last night too so i had to take the kid to MIL's and head to that. The event went really smoothly and I got back to MIL's a tiny bit early to find myself locked out because they had all gone to some baby consignment sale. When they got back DD still hadn't eaten dinner or had her diaper changed and by then it was after 8. I didn't end up getting home until almost 10, ugh. Work asked if I could come in today too, I said OK but I'm taking my time because yesterday was pretty exhausting. I have to take DD again today and DH got an opportunity to work some overtime tomorrow that we can't afford to pass up so I'm most likely taking her tomorrow too. I kind of can't wait for daycare to start!
That does sound exhausting. I tote DS everywhere, but it's getting old and we're exploring daycare/nanny share. In the short term, my brother is going to watch him an extra day, and a extra hour on the days SIL already comes. That gets me 6 more hours! Yay!

That sounds crazy. Our pedi said not to cut down until 1 year, but that we should be doing lots of solids and that it's basically impossible to overfeed them. We do BF 8 times a day, plus solids for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a snack in the afternoon most days. I space all feedings (BF and solids) an hour apart when possible. That helps. Also, your LO is still a little younger; DS just started eating like crazy about a week ago. Before that, it wasn't uncommon for him to eat 3 bites some meals and be done. He also got more into it when he got better at feeding himself.

Good for you! Hang around here to be motivated to work out. Several notches are really hitting it hard! I ran almost 2 miles this morning, and I'm still sore most days, but it feels good to have the habit again!
DS is 10.5 months. He eats purées twice at daycare and has table food for dinner. He gets 3 bottles at daycare and nurses 4 times at home. So we're nowhere near your doctor's recommendation.
AF has the worst timing. This is my second period, but I'm not regular yet. Both times AF has arrived just in time for a beach weekend. Last time we were going on vacation to the ocean, this weekend is my sister's bachelorette party at a lake house.
Speaking of AF, I was always super regular before pregnancy and now, even though I started birth control I'm not. Anyone all over the place even though you are on bc?

Lame. Super lame. At least there will be drinking?

Ugh. That sucks. Bachelorette party at a lake house sounds amazing though! Have fun!
So the theme to the party last night was 'back to school.' I googled the styles kids are wearing these days and put together a short skirt, tshirt, boots and braid pigtails. My H is a high school teacher so I asked him 'do I look like one of your students?' and he said 'no. You look like a hooker.' Lol.
I think you must have gotten the look right then. I often see girls wearing things my daughter will not leave the house in.

We are down to less than 20 ounces a day of formula but K is almost 11 months. She has pretty much weaned herself down. I talked to the pedi about it last week and she said they do that as they start to eat more food. She said K won't starve herself. We are also slowly introducing WCM into one to two bottles a day just 1 oz and the rest formula.
ETA: I wouldn't have purposely cut her formula back. K just hasn't been drinking as much which is why I asked the pedi about it.
I was just looking at the cranberry juice in the fridge and remembering we have a bottle of lime vodka... Will that do?
YES! Pic requested!
It's going to be a minute, but I will make it happen. Now if I only had some of your chocolate and some movie theater popcorn to go with it. That would be one hell of a lunch!
KMW08 my pedi never said amount of bottles but instead how many ounces. And only bc I asked since she self weaned that I wanted to make sure she got enough. He told me 20-30 ounces is good at this stage. Emma has started to self wean but takes about 4-5 bottles still..but less ounces eat sitting. I wasn't going to start me led weaning until closer to 11 months.
For food I don't do any purees just real food so she gets 3 meals a day and an afternoon snack. Some meals she's ears more than others.
