Well DH gets final name say with this baby since I got it with DD's name only stipulation neither of us could hate the name. Anyway Rachel is our top girl name and Zacharias (Zach) for a boy.

This could all change, but right now my favorite girl names are Elizabeth June and Catherine Louisa, and my fave boys names are Julian David or Nicholas David.

I'm campaigning hard for Raymond to be the middle name. It's my dad's name. He has no sons I think he'd be really touched. MH is worried his dad will be jealous. (MH has his dad's name as his middle name)
Girl name: Jocelyn
I don't hate the name but I don't love it. But since Jeremiah is my top pick and MH agreed to it, I feel like it's only fair to allow MH top pick for girl. I like Rebecca more... but we'll see. No idea on middle names. I keep thinking "Marie" but I really feel like that's sort of a 'filler' middle name that works with almost anything. (Not that that makes it a BAD name, just something to consider)

For a boy I really like Connor. No matter what the first name will be I would like to use my dads middle name for the middle name which is Wesley and I think the two flow nicely.
I haven't come up with any girl names that I love but I do like Emma.
H is a huge fan of unisex names and will barely even acknowledge that there are other options. Then again, he also thinks we should go as long as possible without telling anyone the sex because it's none of their business and is limiting to the kid. So there's still a lot to figure out.
So far all we have are lists of names we don't like.
For girls we're thinking Beatrice Ann or Eleanor Ann. Ann is my and my mom's middle name, so it would be nice to pass that on to a third generation. J has a third generation middle name from MH and MH's dad.
Boys we're less sure on. MH really likes Alexander, I would like to use David in there somewhere (it's my dad's middle name), and we're kicking around a few more options like Raphael and Lucas.
MH more or less named J on his own since his name follows a strong family tradition, so he says that this time I get to pick the name but he gets veto power.
With DD, we only ever had one name, and it was for a girl, so it worked out.
With this one, I only have one name in mind, and it's Cormac, so maybe we'll luck out and it will be a boy. DH had the deciding say in DD's name - I picked it out, but he loved it and wouldn't entertain any other options. He's not in love with Cormac, but this time it would be his job to try to sway me to something I liked better.
I run into the problem that apparently there are a lot of people in the world that I don't like, so they ruin names for me.
Also, based on my google search of one of the name sets someone posted on here.. there are 40,000+ results, and the top google images are of some sketchy guys. The sketchy guys would be enough to steer me away from the name. Reason 2938472 my kid is going to end up with no name.
ETA: This is totally not meant to be a diss on someone's name choice. All the Cormacs that show up are old and wrinkly.

If its a boy his name will be Lincoln James we've had it picked out since we were in college. And a girl we are leaning towards Mckenzie but who knows. We really struggle with girl names

Because we know that we are having a girl, we have had a lot of time already to mull over names. H and I are very outdoorsy people and we boarder on kinda hippieish. I've always gone with very natural names or a name that means something significant, i mean, I have a chicken named Twig . With that in mind H and I are pretty set on the name Willow. The Weeping Willow trees are.my.favorite.trees.ever. The middle name is up for grabs. Although, this all may or may not change considering we have, what, 7 more months to think about this...
o2girl, make sure your middle name passes the yelling test.
DD's name, while not Willow, is also very feminine. Her middle name is very cutesy (not my first choice, 2nd, or 3rd choice, but not my cross to die on).. When we want to scold her, yelling her very girly first name with her very cutesy middle name is just so.. sweet and not stern at all. I feel like a name needs oopmh to it.

ahahahaha! This is a real problem! I will definitely keep that in mind!
I think we've had this chat a while back. Our mn's are givens due to family history.. good thing we like them! We don't have any LOVE IT first names yet, and like @led, our no list is longer than our yes list. H is VERY picky about name flow. So far H gave Avery 4 stars on our app and it's the highest ranking name, I don't hate it. We have lots of 3 star names. The only one I really like is Mae. For boys I like Trey and Otto but H hates them I like loads of names that sound terrible with our last name! Sigh.
Top girl names are Josephine or Elizabeth. Middle name is Veronica. We know either would be a mouthful but we use nicknames and it doesnt bother me.
Boy contenders are Benjamin and Edward. DH also pushing for Calvin. Middle name will either be Francis or John. I really like Benjamin john. Our last name starts with an S. Do the initials Bjs bother people? No factor?
I had a friend with initials ASS, and that's what I think about in this situation. We could do BFS which is fine, I just liked the flow better. We still have to deal with BS as first and last name initials, but there's worse so I'm not going to change a name a like over it.
I wish I could share my sister's last name so you could understand all the intricacies that going into naming a child when you have a last name like that!

I don't think it really matters.... How often will you actually use the middle name. Not many people will know! Plus, that's a cute name!
Edit: it may be a problem in high school! As a high school teacher, boys can be dumb then!
