I'm about to go pick up my mom and sis from the airport. I'm so excited to see them and have some help with DS-he's been so needy with his cast on.
My sis is my twin and she has Down syndrome. She's so excited to see My DS and is so sweet with him! I took care of her for a month this summer but haven't seen her since then! Can't wait!
Aww, glad that you're getting some more time with your sister and that you'll have some extra hands to help out!
I want to surprise DH today with a trip to Steak n Shake because I just learned that there's one relatively close to us. Steak n Shake is a mandatory stop when we visit his family in Ohio, so I think he'll be happy!
Tomorrow we're heading to Boo at the Zoo and dressing up as the Where's Waldo characters.

Another random. I'm feeling super guilty about all I've eaten before 10 AM. I had some bellvita breakfast bars, a bunch of white cheddar chips, then I just went through the drive-through at Chick-fil-A and got hashbrowns and a bagel with cream cheese. What is going on?!?

I'm trying so hard not to eat all the food! Last pregnancy I wanted nothing but this one I want everything!
That sounds like a run weekend having your family in town. I am on call this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. Which is an excellent excuse when we go to a BBQ this afternoon and am not having a beer.
Dreaming, I was able to get away with this when I was pregnant with DS, first big family event was Easter brunch and I had DH make me virgin mimosas and bloody marys all morning, no one was the wiser. I have a family event tomorrow which will be all wine and beer and daylight so I need a different game plan.
txmommy14, this has been me most mornings, 75% of my daily intake is consumed before 11am. Everything tastes so good vs later in the day so I'm just rolling with it.
Right now I'm sitting in DS's bed drinking my coveted one cup of coffee for the day. DS is playing in tent DH set up in his room, when he plays independently his cuteness level increases by 33%. Later I'm going to the farmers market and need to catch up on learning an analysis tool for an interview this week. Tomorrow we have a family hike and picnic. We always do a potluck type thing. I think I'm going to make slow roasted pork and homemade applesauce.
So last night when I went to brush my teeth, I could not for the life of me figure out which toothbrush was mine and which was DH's. They are different brands and one is blue, one green. I ended up picking the blue one after I stared at them for a long time. Nope. Mine is the green one.

Just remembered tonight is a bday party for Dd's friend... But it doesn't start until 5:30. Praying for a nap because that is late in our world.
Also - maternity clothes are a damned racket. Went to Target this AM... Stretchy pants were $30 and stockings were $17. It's not fair. Supply and demand can suck it.
Our plumbing keeps going out. It's the worst. Not what I planned on doing this weekend.
It's because of this huge tree we have in our yard who's roots have messed up the pipes. That tree is getting the ax. I just can't deal with plumbers every other month.
It's all just too annoying! And I bet it'll cost a ton to finally fix...

I was hoping to find discounted maternity clothes at Ross and they had none.
Where do people buy them without spending $30 on pants? I don't spend that much on normal clothes I can't see spending that on ones I'll wear for even less time.
I agree that kids consignment stores usually have great maternity sections. That being said, I think most of my maternity clothes are from target or Old Navy. I was always able to find some clearance stuff online.
Another recommendation for consignment shops! Maternity clothes are worn for such a short time that they're usually still in pretty good condition. I also had really good luck on ebay and am keeping an eye on my local facebook yard sale groups.

I feel great in the morning, then sick and gross in the afternoon and evening. Eating all the things before 2 pm is definitely my MO right now.
I was planning to announce to my parents this weekend but just found out that my older brother is proposing! I don't want to steal his thunder so I'll wait another week or so. This is his 2nd engagement...he called his previous engagement off 5 months before his wedding a few yrs ago. After dealing with IF...what's another week anyway?! Just excited I get to see my family today.

We need to carve pumpkins but I feel like dealing with scooping out the goo might put me over the edge and I'll finally actually throw up.
We did this the other day! I did great until I started to think about how gooey it was & was staring at it then almost lost it but got it all back together as DS jumped on me & distracted me. Good luck!
Today the shopping area where I worked had their annual Halloween Kids Day. So DD dressed up like Princess Anna and had a blast. She's passed out right now ... hoping she'll sleep like 3-4 hours. She was up early today.
Tomorrow is shopping (if we don't do it this afternoon once she's up again), pumpkin craving and hopefully dinner with my parents. We have yet to tell my dad. The rest of the immediate family know but he was out of town last weekend.
Otherwise nothing eventful at our home this weekend.

txmommy14 enjoy your time with your mom and sister sounds like fun!
soultrane boo at the zoo sounds like fun wish we lived closer to a zoo!
Today we went shopping to look for something to wear for our pictures in a couple weeks. We will do DDs 1 1/2 pics and our Christmas pictures together. I have her outfit picked out for her pictures by herself but we all needed items for the family one. I was able to find a top for myself and some leggings for DD but I haven't found leggings for myself or a dress for DD so I'll have to keep looking. DH has a couple options in the closet but he got some new jeans today so that was his new item.
I'm exhausted now!! So probably just relaxing the rest of the day and church tomorrow.

I have two baby showers this weekend. One today for one if my cousins and one tomorrow for one of DH's cousins. DH also decided that he can't keep a secret anymore so we ended up telling his parents and will be telling mine. We swore then to secrecy but I have a feeling the cats out of the bag.

Yup. We told my Dad on Thursday, he said he'd keep it a secret until we were ready. Today he said his friend is "so happy for us"...
DH and I went to our team's football game earlier. I dropped him off, and now I'm just home watching more college football. I had the fireplace on and took a little catnap.
DS and I are meeting my parents at the mall today to hang out. I really hope my bloat doesn't give me away.
DS is in the stage where he waves and says hi to everyone while we're out. Yesterday while we were grocery shopping he waved and said hi to an older and slightly weathered-looking lady. She stopped and smiled and said "you have no idea how much it means to me for you to say hi to me today." That made me happy, but I also feel sad that she obviously must be going through some tough stuff.
