Had my postpartum appt yesterday and got cleared for sex. I have no intentions of having said sex. Was also advised to use lube when we do because breastfeeding apparently = dry vagina. Going to make DH buy the lube before letting him anywhere near me.
Lol my OB specifically recommended astroglide.
I HATED having sex after I had DD until my period came back. It was SO tight it killed. Awful. I even had a CSection. I know it was from breastfeeding, but man it sucked. Once my period came back I was golden regardless of BFing.

FYI, ID Millenium is fucking amazing shit. We sold it at the sex shop I worked at in college.

Yeah, I'd say things were back to "normal" around 10 months PP.

Yup...and at 11 months PP, I found out I was expecting 2.0....

I never heard that recommendation. Both my kids saw pacis while in the hospital and they nursed for a year.

We did pacifiers. I needed a break eventually. S nursed until she was 16 months old. Then again, I didn't have supply issues so I think that's when they recommend you wait awhile.

I tried out of desperation last night. He hated it. It's the boob or nothing. I'll hold off till we are closer to a month.
Oh and good thing he's cute because he sure doesn't like to sleep.... oh and he's at the boob all. The. Time. I'm sure we'll be close to birth weight at our appointment today....I mean we have to be...

I can tell DH is feeling strained by all he's been doing. I kinda feel bad but at the same time know when he goes back Tuesday I'll be doing it all again so then I just let him. C has been a rock star for him though which has been great. Feeling kind of panicked about next week being on my own with the two...
So we had Piper back at the GI today and pedi yesterday. They think it's abnormal that she has gotten so sick over her short lifespan. We are going to start doing an immunology work up to see if something else is going on.
I finally got samples of Elecare formula. She thinks she probably has a true dairy allergy and that's why she can't tolerate the nutramigen.
It is so overwhelming. I feel awful that she doesn't feel good most of the time. Hopefully we get answers soon.

I hope you guys get some answers and that the new formula works

So sorry you all are going through this and that poor P has been through so much. You are doing everything that you can. Hopefully they get everything figured out and she tolerates the new formula. Hugs.
So the last three nights DD has slept overnight from around 10p-5am. My boobs obviously don't like this. Should I be pumping before bed or in the morning after she nurses? Or will I just stop producing as much over night if she keeps this schedule? (I know the chances of that are unlikely but wondering just in case) I've just been nursing on demand thus far and haven't really been pumping.

Don't pump (unless you're trying to build your freezer stash)! Your body will adjust in a couple of days, but if you pump, your body still gets the message that it needs to make more milk, and you'll wake up uncomfortable every day. If you need to pump just enough to make yourself comfortable, do it, but don't keep going.
You'll have enough milk for her, even if she wakes up randomly in the middle of the night (and fx that this is not a fluke and she's a good sleeper!)
DD hasn't slept more than 20 mins at a time since 3:30p today; it's now 9. She is tired and just fighting sleep. DS fought bedtime tonight too, which is really off for him. At the end of the day I am so exhausted and touched out I just want a small break before I pass out. Baby go the F to sleep!

E didn't sleep well at all today either... and C fought bedtime tonight too. All the hugs.
Paging hurricanerek or other experienced breastfeeders- DD nurses way better on my right side; and lately on my left side she's gotten really squirmy and I don't hear her gulping as much. I'm pretty sure my supply dropped some on that side but I know there is still milk there because when I squeeze I can still get milk and when i nurse her on the right I still had milk drip from the left when I left my top off. So I'm thinking she's squirming because it's not coming fast enough? Is there anything I can do about this or will she always be squirmy on the "dud side"? (Sorry so long)
