Hope the party went well @elf828! B&BW has all of their spring scents out now (at least the one near us). I miss the fall/winter scents!
We're having our little party today. It's supposed to snow so we're trying to work around the weather. The bakery provided a cute little smash cake for LO - I'm looking forward to giving that a try.
Happy party day caer, I hope the weather cooperates!
Hope your party went well @elf828
X had a pretty good night but woke up at 6 ready to start the day. He's fighting something off and has the saddest little couch
We are going to one of DH's friends house for a Super Bowl party, but because of X's bedtime we're going to leave right before the game starts. I remember last year on super Sunday, I was hoping to go into labor so that I could watch the game during and hope it would distract me lol. It didn't happen.
Ohhhh and i'm super stressed because the guy who was doing the food for X's party called me Friday evening to say he can't do it. He's one of DH's customers who runs a local banquet hall. He'd offered to make the food there and give it to us at cost and we planned the menu a few weeks ago. He called me and said that he can't not because they don't have any events going on that weekend to justify opening the kitchen up. I of course understand that, but I wish that he'd said that was a possibility before we planned this, i.e. - if we have an event that weekend I can do this. Now I need to figure out food for 50 people. I'm thinking 6' subs.

That really sucks, and he should have mentioned that. I think sandwiches are fine. We're doing pizza and hoagies. I don't think people care what they eat as long as there's food and enough of it.

Wow that is really crappy to find put last minute... I think 6ft subs is a good idea, sorry you have to scramble!
Thanks everyone, I know so thoughtless!! And, because he's one of DH's customers I had to be all "ohh no problem! Thank you so much for trying to help" super cheery. I'm good with subs though. The catered food was more than I'd originally thought anyway. It's not a super crazy party, just a lot of people because big families.
DH got up about 6:15, and even though I think he was trying to be quiet, he woke me up. DD didn't go to bed until 10pm last night, so she will probably sleep for a few more hours, but now I'm awake. Probably won't be able to go back to sleep because it is party day! I wish we were having the party here (because tons of stuff to haul over) but it will be at my IL's because of MIL's house-bound status.
I have given zero thought to what I will wear today. This is stressing me out.
we were out late last night so babyG started his night's sleep in his car seat (carrier). He handled the transfer to his bed (pnp) well around 11:30. However his wake ups were the ones where he screams as if scared/freaked/being hurt, so that was great. 5 wake ups like that between 1:30 and 7.
Oh, and also I'm remembering last year game day=induction day. It was an anxious day-the weather was supposed to turn yucky, so we brought DH's truck instead of my car, which meant less room for all the crap we brought. Induction was 6pm. I missed the majority of the game doing paperwork, getting my IV, etc.
Good morning!! This time last year we had a tiny 2 week old LO!! It was a superb bowl. So no updates on H's flight. I know you are all on the edge of your seats... he is partially packed and still being a douche. I just got my first AF since my loss. I didn't think it would come so soon. It's heavier than I expected too. I guess that means my stupid body is working, yes?
I just gave LO mini pancakes for the first time. And she was in heaven. I was hoping she would share with me, but no. Instead she put 2 in each hand and went to town.
We're up. Getting ready for church. LO is being a real pill. He absolutely did not sleep long enough last night, but I'm kind of powerless to make him sleep more. So he's a whiny, fussy mess. DH was not a fan -- ha, DH, this is my lyfe. So we're watching Sprout while DH showers. It's not good, but LO isn't crying, so....
We are up! Dh is at work so it's me and lo. I am going tho make brownies and buffalo chicken dip in case we go to the super bowl party...but it's already starting to snow....so hopefully more for me!
Couldn't fall asleep last night and DD started stirring at 5am. Today is her birthday, so I'm going to chalk it up to excited! Normal day here...we will have a party next weekend. She did get to open the V-tech sit n stand. She can already walk, but still loves pushing it around and has played with the front part for 30 minutes. Until she found a shoebox, so of course that trumps fancy gift.
