Soft Gear foam changing pad. I can NOT enough good things about this changing pad! You can wipe it clean, sanitize it, and it hugs the older babies so it makes rolling much harder for them. You will have lots of poopsplosions, both with and without a diaper. You also have enough laundry to do already, why do you want a changing pad with a cover that you have to change and wash?? Mine is teal.
I fought a sound machine for a long time! DH and I sleep in silence, so the thought of the gawd awful loud white noise machine made me crazy!
This one is fabulous! It has 2 settings, and the loudest can't be heard with the door shut. It's an actual fan too, so you don't have weird electronic "secret message" repeating over and over. Several moms from my other BMB said their sounded like there were hidden messages ha ha.
I couldn't of lived without the Rock and Play. We also used lots of sleep and play outfits and swaddle blankets. I'm adding that changing pad to my wish list cbrandt1!

Safety Bath Kneeler This thing has saved my knees. I didn't realize how freaking much you kneel over a baby. Or buy a gardening knee pad from Home Depot.
We have about 8 diaper bags (2 of this one), and this is by far the best diaper bag we found for the newborn-4mo(ish) stage. We loved that we could lay the public changing table down and set the bag on top of it, unzip the mat and roll it out with one hand. It protected our little one from all the nasty, and made all of our stuff readily available. We are still trying to find a bag that we like for now that he is older though. Obviously it comes in a million different colors too. I have this one and a black one (for DH).

I need to ask a question about white noise machines.
I've always felt like the baby would get so used to the sound that he/she would be unable to sleep without it. Is that the case?
Not sure because we still use it at 9mo. We got it more so we didn't have o be so quiet once he goes to bed. Plus our dog likes to run up and down the tile hallway after D goes to sleep and his nails are so loud. I think he will have more trouble getting rid of his lovey than the sound machine though.

mrsjene, a fan creates a great white noise too. We still use it mostly to cover the noises around. I used an app when he was little with nature sounds.
mrsjene we used a fan for white noise in DS's room and he could sleep without it. I think in the beginning the consistency of it matters but as they get older they really don't give a shit
mrsjene, we're still using the white noise machine and DS is almost 2. He has definitely fallen asleep places without it, but we usually take it along on overnights just in case. I have a nephew who is 10 and sleeps with one, and here's a confession, my husband and I use one. I love it!

It sounds small/silly but I always recommend to new moms to get a lingerie bag for washing/drying baby socks. No losing them in each load of laundry, no constant searching in the lint traps for tiny socks, and having them all together to fold and put away is lovely.
I LOVE this diaper bag. All the different flaps and pockets are labeled which makes it easy to locate items for daycare peeps or grandparents. It's super durable and three years later I still use it for DS.

My first hated being worn (seemed to aggravate his reflux) but if anybody has a carrier other than the Moby wrap you loved, shout it out. I definitely want to try again with this one.
Anyway, the result is that my son was definitely a stroller kid, and our Britax B-Agile had seen a lot of use. I love it. Turns on a dime, easy to push, really simple to fold one handed, reclines all the way so it can be used from birth even without an infant seat.
We had swaddlemes and a Halo sleep sack when he was tiny, which were also great.

See the B-Agile goes on my list of hated items. But I'm 5'9, so it was too short for me and I alway kick the wheels! It's been used maybe 10 times, anyone want to buy it??

I loved sleep sacks, and strollers in general. I know not everyone loves a travel system but I love our graco system, I've logged so many miles on that stroller with our kids

I've seen they have new ones that rock themselves. I will totally invest in that. DD loved the rock and play but do many nights I would have my foot stuck out from my bed rocking it.
