What symptoms are you having? Tired, bloated, and queasy. I tend to feel worse in the evenings and weekends.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I am now realizing how easy my first pregnancy was. This one is kicking my butt and I feel bad I'm complaining so much.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? I have this really cute green elephant lamp that was the focus for DS's nursery. I'll keep that as the focal point for the next one. I haven't given much thought to the nursery yet.
What symptoms are you having? Tired, food aversions, random cravings, nausea/puking
Do you have any appointments this week? Friday morning....nervous already
Rants/Raves/Randoms? House hunting sucks. Also, anxiety is really ramping up as I get closer to Friday's appointment. It's been 5 weeks since my last one and I'm imagining all these horrible scenarios.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? I picked out the theme months ago. It's going to be forest animals/foxes. For a girl I'll add in purple accents and for a boy I'm thinking dark blues and greens.

How many weeks are you? 10w5d
What is your baby the size of? golden snitch
What symptoms are you having? lot of nausea, but not much vomiting anymore (it helps that I'm only eating the very small number of things that have a proven track record of staying down)
Do you have any appointments this week? nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I think my mom is going to come down next Friday to watch the kids so my husband and I can both go to the NT scan; I haven't told her about the pregnancy yet, so that will be a surprise when she gets here.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? No, this LO will go in our room for the foreseeable future, and then we'll put him/her in with one or more of the other kids when the time comes, so no nursery.
What symptoms are you having? Waking MOTN to use the bathroom. Bloating/blump. Emotional at shows, cute things, etc. Food aversions come and go, not that strong anymore. I get a full stomach very easy.
Do you have any appts this week? We had our first OB appt this past Thursday, he did an ultrasound (via abdomen not transvaginal). I was surprised at how much fuzzier the view was, I guess our RE had stronger equipment. Babies were moving around ALOT. We have our NT test with a MFM doc at the hospital on May 2. I'm grateful the OB is treating our multiple pregnancy with seriousness rather than doing it himself which he said he'd normally do for singleton.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: Starting to talk about names. I wanted a strong spiritual name(s) but MH is only on board with one or two of them. So I've resorted to looking at traditional names. He wanted a name that was Polish with an English version (I am not Polish). My concern with that is his mom refuses to get up to speed with English and she's going to only call them by their Polish name/talk to them in Polish etc and I don't speak Polish, so DNW mother in law confusing babies early on calling them different names etc. Maybe it's unnecessary for me to be so concerned (STMs let me know if it is) but she's very much overbearing and I want things done our way, not hers. So I'm going with names that can't be converted and explained to hubby (he understood) that they already have their polish name, their last name.
QOTW: Are you planning a nursery theme? I'll get into this more when we find out the genders but regardless it's going to be rather neutral theme. I like baby animals like a forest theme, and/or sea creatures. Something earthy. Maybe elephants.

How many weeks are you? 9 weeks 2 days
What is your baby the size of? Pecan
What symptoms are you having? Tired, sore boobs, occasional nausea if hungry... Feeling pretty good. Can't complain, I know others have it way worse.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope, next appt is May 2nd
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Rave - my husband's shift is getting moved to a much better time for us! On his current shift I don't see him on week days. With the new shift we will have evenings together.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? Yes! Boy - vintage car theme. My H loves cars so I think it would be cool to do like a 60s car theme. Girl - vintage again, maybe French provincial with blush and teal color scheme

How many weeks are you? 11 tomorrow!
What is your baby the size of? Will be a fig
What symptoms are you having? Finally, FINALLY improving on the MS front. Guys, there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's glorious. Other than that my skin is pretty sensitive, crazy dreams, exhaustion, and weird post dinner time headaches.
Do you have any appts this week? Next week. 12 wk OB appt Tuesday and MFM appt Wednesday for NT scan/NIPT.
R/R/R? I thought of something last night, but now I forget. There's another symptom...pregnancy brain.
QOTW - get me a healthy anatomy scan and I'll give you the most beautiful nursery ever.
What symptoms are you having? Nausea and exhaustion
Do you have any appointments this week? No, 10 week ultrasound will be next week
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I ended up at the ER for bleeding and cramping on Thursday night. It was so scary and I felt horrible for my IPs. But it looks like my betas and everything are still normal and the bleeding stopped by Friday night, so hopefully all is calm from now on.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? Nope! My IPs just bought a new house and had the nursery painted with grey stripes though and the pictures look awesome. Then they'll do either teal accents for a boy or purple for a girl.
I thought I would start to get sad once this kind of planning started, because I don't get to do it ever again. But I'm so excited to be on the outside looking in. It's like I get to relive the excitement of having a first baby without actually having to make the big decisions, spend the money, or take home the baby. I love seeing IM excited about this stuff.
What symptoms are you having? mild Nausea, motn waking, body temp regulation issues (burning up to freezing cold, starting to just be hot all the time)
Do you have any appointments this week? None this week
Rants/Raves/Randoms?
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? We're going to have DS and b2 share a room so we're moving DS into a bigger room at some point. I'd like to actually decorate this room. DS was supposed to have a forest theme but that never really happened. This time I'd like to get some decals for the walls and/or hang art.
My doctor's office isn't open today, do I'll be calling first thing in the morning to insist they squeeze us in to get the necessary bloodwork.
Hep A can take 2-6 wks to incubate, so if the virus is present it may or may not have had the time to replicate enough for it to show up yet in bloodwork. If you do get it done I would request repeats in a few weeks or if you start feeling symptoms. They're mainly flu-like symptoms, extreme fatigue, yellowing of the skin/whites of your eyes. I'm sure you've read the recall a million times though and I'm just repeating myself for no reason. Sorry.
What is your baby the size of? Lime (?? that seems huge)
What symptoms are you having? queasy/upset stomach has calmed down a lot, thankfully...food sounds OK again! Otherwise, fatigue, MOTN wake-ups, and my chin/jawline is so broken out...I feel like a teenager.
Do you have any appointments this week? Yes, a check-up on Thursday morning
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Ordered a few new pieces of maternity clothing today. I'm trying to keep a basic color palette so I can mix and match. Our dog finally seems to be on the mend after her mystery stomach issues; I have cleaned up more puke in the last few days than in my entire life combined.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? We are moving DS into a new room--airplane themed--in the next month or so. I love his nursery, which is nautical, so we'll keep it intact for another boy. If it's a girl, I'll keep the walls (pale gray-blue) and white furniture, and probably look for white or blue/white toile bedding and maybe some chinoiserie-inspired accents.

Thanks. I knew it could take a while to show symptoms but didn't realize it may not show up in a blood test. After researching it I'm not as freaked out as I initially was, biggest concern now is potentially spreading it.
I'm keeping all my FX for you. Pregnancy is hard enough as is!!

How many weeks are you? 8w 1d
What is your baby the size of? 2x2 Lego block
What symptoms are you having? Major bloat, craving starch and salt, get weak if I don't eat frequently enough, noticeable vein on belly from last time
Do you have any appointments this week?
Tuesday is first u/s. MH doesn't have coverage at work, so going solo. I'm a little nervous that it'll go poorly and I'll have to go do daycare pickup right after.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I keep forgetting I'm pregnant. I'm hoping the appt helps make it seem more real. I also get blue thinking about how much ds world will be rocked.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme?
No, the baby will sleep in our room for a long time and then will share at some point. Or we move and get 3 bedrooms, then I'd do something. We were in a one bdrm until j was 9 months old, so the only thing we did was hang some animal prints on the wall above his crib. The Animal Print Shop has the CUTEST nursery art. I had the hardest time just picking 4 prints...so maybe I'd get a few more.

Question that I don't know where to ask. Hot tubs are a no go because of how quickly they can raise your core body temperature, but what's the board's feels on just a regular bath?
Question that I don't know where to ask. Hot tubs are a no go because of how quickly they can raise your core body temperature, but what's the board's feels on just a regular bath?
I can't remember exactly but I think it'd be fine if not too hot and pay attention to how you feel. I get too hot after showers and end up having to rest and drink some water.
Thank you tallblonde ! I'm going to run the water and see how it makes me feel. Easy enough to just get out if I get hot too quickly.
I'm super late, but we had a hot tub when I was pregnant with DS, my doctor said it was fine but only for about 10 minutes or so. I felt super light headed pretty quickly, so I only went in once.
Question that I don't know where to ask. Hot tubs are a no go because of how quickly they can raise your core body temperature, but what's the board's feels on just a regular bath?
I know you asked a few hours ago, but wanted to say I take baths and just make sure they aren't too hot and I get out if I feel myself overheating. I took them with L the whole time and will again this time if I ever get a chance. Lol. I'm lucky to get a decent shower these days.
sophiegrace to add to the bath comments, they are OK b/c the water temperature decreases over time (whereas in a hot tub the temperature is sustained).
ClassyMrsA, ((hugs)) I hope Friday comes quickly for you!! sweetmelissa5, so glad to hear that you've found some things that stay down for you. Vomiting is the absolute worst. danib, FX that everything is okay! Such an awful thing to have to worry about on top of everything else. ashleysyn, so glad things are okay! tallblonde, I feel bad sometimes thinking about how my little guy is going to react to a new baby. He is so enveloped in love and affection every day right now and I just hope I can keep it up when there is also a newborn demanding all my time
What symptoms are you having? So much exhaustion, also nausea (especially when I haven't eaten), bloat/blump like crazy (I broke out my BeBand yesterday and today, ugh), and I am finding I get full very quickly even if I was really hungry when I started eating.
Do you have any appointments this week? I have an hour-long intake appointment with a nurse tomorrow. I'm not really sure why I need to do such a long appointment given that this isn't my first rodeo, but I don't really mind because I get excited about all appointments! I have been wondering whether they will attempt to find a HB on Doppler but I also think it's kind of early for that.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? A dream I had last night forced me to confront a very difficult and perplexing question--what is my favorite Usher song? After much inner struggle and debate, I eventually settled on "More."
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? DH is adamant that the nursery we created for DS (which is neutral and marine themed) is going to be the nursery for all babies. I guess now I'm more planning a big boy room for DS! I'm thinking trains might be cute; we'd paint at least one wall forest green or navy blue, and I could make some fun little paintings and put up some decals.
I am not sure when we will move him in there though. He didn't start sleeping in his nursery until he was nearly 8 months old (he was in our room until then) so assuming baby #2 does a similar thing, there really isn't a huge rush. At the same time, I wonder if it might be good to help him deal with the transition before the new baby arrives.

How many weeks are you? 8
What is your baby the size of? Denise's pygmy sea horse, or a jelly bean
What symptoms are you having? Still lots of nausea, but I haven't thrown up yet. Sore breasts and a little fatigue. Appetite comes and goes like the wind.
Do you have any appointments this week? Yes! Finally! My first appointment is on Thursday.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? The food truck that's coming at lunch today is sushi, which makes me mad. Not because I'm pregnant but because I don't like sushi.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? DS's nursery was a safari animal/sports theme (obviously MH and I couldn't agree on a theme), if this one is a boy we'll likely reuse that theme, but if it's a girl I don't know what we'll do. The room is painted a light green on top and then a light grey below with white chair railing separating the colors. So I could probably just buy some pink decorations and go from there.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Ok I'm 12 weeks now, my morning sickness should go away right?! Ugh.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme? If it's a boy we have talked about a vintage car theme. Not sure for a girl.
Question for everyone - is anyone considering an early elective ultrasound? We did the 3D/4D with my son at 26 weeks and were planning on doing that again. But we got a flyer in the mail for another place and they have packages for gender confirmation at 14 weeks. I had no idea they did them that early. My husband is very intrigued as he wants to know like right now what it is. I'm on the fence. The package is $40 bucks more to do one at 14 weeks and another one later. So it's not ridiculous money wise over what we were already planning. I did some research and it does sound like most elective ultrasound places do them at 14 weeks with accuracy. Not sure, we'll need to think through a it more.

rory5280 I was thinking about looking into elective ultrasound but not to find out the sex since we already know. I just want to see him again before 20 weeks!

How many weeks are you?
11 (I think) I keep forgetting how pregnancy is actually tracked and suddenly gaining extra weeks.
What is your baby the size of?
A caterpillar
What symptoms are you having?
Exhaustion. Food aversions. Bloating.
Do you have any appointments this week?
Yes! My first one on Thursday. Fingers crossed.
Rants/Raves/Randoms?
I got nothing.
QOTW - are you planning a nursery theme?
I literally had not thought about this until I read it here. Thanks guys:) A stayed in our room until about 4 months so hopefully we have some time to figure it out.

We haven't done an elective ultrasound, but at our NT scan last time (at 12 weeks exactly, I believe), the tech said she had a good idea of the baby's sex and asked if we wanted to know. She said she was fairly positive it was a girl, and she turned out to be right. If you get a tech who is well versed in reading "the angle of the dangle" you could probably feel pretty secure in the outcome.
