I spent $200 on baby clothes yesterday online Not even exciting ones, just basics like bodysuits.
I also found out some super super sad news yesterday - one of the secretaries at my work is 35 weeks pregnant and her husband came home on Wednesday and told her he was leaving her for a client of his (he's a personal trainer). It's even worse because she's from Europe and moved here (Australia) with him and has no family support, and it's now too late for her to go back home. Also her mother was meant to be coming for the birth but now her father is very ill so might not be able to come. It's so awful. I don't know her well but am trying to think of ways to help her - I'm going to make her some meals and maybe ask some of our colleagues to chip in and pay for a house cleaner for a few weeks after the birth. Any other bright ideas?
cbrandt1 We love them! They've never left any marks and she's never complained about wearing them. Even after having them on for hours her feet don't smell at all. They're not super super wide on her, but they do have a fair amount of room. Her feet easily slide right in, unlike in her stride rites.
Thanks! I'm just going to get them and be done with it!!

Ok remembered. He has a varicocele. "A varicocele is a varicose vein of the testicle and scrotum that may cause pain and lead to testicular atrophy (shrinkage of the testicles). In healthy veins within the scrotum, one-way valves allow blood to flow from the testicles and scrotum back to the heart. In a varicocele, these valves do not function properly, causing blood to pool enlarging the vein. Some experts believe that the raised temperature that results from the pooled blood in these blocked veins can decrease sperm count and motility of sperm and increase the number of deformed sperm. In fact, the incidence of varicoceles increases to 30 percent in couples who cannot have children."

That is horrific!!!! I can't even imagine being in her shoes. I know someone who just recently had a baby and while she was in the hospital, post partum, her husband told her he was having an affair... Had been for a year! Good job, that's DEFINITELY the best time in her life to drop that truth bomb on her!

Had breakfast with some old work people (company closed down last year and some of us meet up every 2 weeks for breakfast). So that was fun. And then I've been sitting on my ass most of the rest of the day lol. But I did throw some chicken and veggies in the crock pot so yay dinner was easy.
Was hoping to eat dinner with DH, but he's working late again (basically every night for the past 2 weeks, and a couple days a week before that, and he leaves for work early before I get up too). It's starting to wear on me and I'm feeling disconnected from him. Hoping for a good weekend together.

Wow. Just wow. Dicks.
I know, right? WTAF. It's hard to imagine how someone could be more selfish or callous. It would be completely terrifying going through labour and the new born stage alone while in the midst of a marriage breakup. People are awful.
