Yay for summer break fem!! We are putting up some temporary fencing today to make a play area for DS. We have a big yard without fencing so we needed something temporary to hold him in so I don't have to chase home every where this summer!
Yeah Friday! Going to Food Truck Friday tonight with some friends and then having them back here for games. Bustin' moves for the baby this weekend. I think we'll try and register and move furniture out and get paint samples!
DH is in Alaska until Tuesday. The videos and pics he's sending are gorgeous!! I'm trying to make this an easy bout away from home for him but the jealousy is strong!! Usually when he leaves I end up angry at him. I hate not having any break at all...
Anyways, I had my 24w appointment yesterday and I'm measuring 25w!! Last time I never measured over where I actually was so I'm getting nervous E about how big this baby is going to be.
I also need to drink more water because the leg and foot cramps are ridiculous right now.
I orders the crib and dresser for baby girl's room! I went with a light grey color. Also got paint samples yesterday and we plan on going with a light purple color. I will be on Pinterest lots today I'm sure.

Thinking I might try and do some more work in the nursery today. It's supposed to get upto like 88 degrees so I'm staying inside in the ac all day. Think I might even order lunch from hungry howies or something just to avoid going out.

Which did you get? Pip please?? I'm wanting to get grey for DS1. His current crib just does a weird toddler bed conversion, so he will be getting the new bed instead.
Anxiously awaiting H's ultrasound at 10:30. Don't worry I'm not going to live blog my husband's nuts
On an "ermahgerd I can't hold it in!" note: My brother and SIL found out the sex of their baby! I can't tell a soul because they're announcing at my mom's 60th birthday party tomorrow. They're team pink!
I'm so SO excited to be an aunt! I adore my brother's step daughter but we haven't known each other long (a year) so I'm really excited to be able to watch this one grow up and bound with her. Also um all the cute little girl things I get to buy since it's boy city over here. So...

Bagel Friday at work and headed into a 3-day weekend!!! Pretty nice start to the day!
Need to find something to put under my desk at work to prop my feet up a bit. My feet and ankles are already starting to puff up by the end of the day.
Although saying "already" may not be appropriate anymore since I just had a "holy shit" realization that I'm less then 2 weeks from 3rd tri.

singingsea - This place is awesome for sharing things you can't share IRL yet!! Congrats to your brother and SIL!! Everything crossed for you and YH that the u/s goes well!!
Thanks! One of my best friends bought DS an elephant Pottery Barn quilt that is light and dark grey and white. It's beautiful, and I really want to use it so I think it will make a great cover for his big boy bed. That's why we are going with grey. Hopefully the grey is a good choice long-term too.

Our crib and dresser are grey too! I love it. If I had a girl, purple and grey would have been my colour combo too! Have fun on Pinterest.
LadyNymeria, my feet are currently on a chair, but I have to be on an angle. The swelling is real. I have to move office and I'm most happy about the fact that I will be able to put a chair under my desk and lift my legs.

cbrandt1 actually wasn't too bad! It was on Amazon for $299 with free shipping! I was looking for clean lines and convertible. So not too bad since it can switch to a full when we get there. ?

I loooove grey furniture/walls/decor, etc.
Coworkers are bringing me spinach quiche, excellent way to start a Friday! Hoping we get let out of work early today for the holiday weekend. I have so many things I want to get done this weekend!
I need to get DS new shoes. I really wanted these Keens because they are "water shoes" but good for every day too.
I found a store that carries them so we could try them on but they were a bit wide. Is width super important for new walkers?? DS just turned 1 and has been walking for about 2 weeks now.
We currently have StrideRites and they smell horrid and the stitching started coming out a week after I bought them. So it's likely I'll not purchase anything from them again.
cbrandt1 I've never done anything special for DD in regards to width. I know you don't want to buy from them but I think Stride Rite measures all that for free. You could go pretend liked you're looking then say you just can't decide.
ETA: we've loved the quality of both Nikes and Keens.
singingsea I hope the ultrasound goes well for your DH today! And congrats on the niece! My SIL is due with her first baby, a girl, any day now. I'm excited to be an auntie!
I'm also loving everyone's nursery furniture choices!
Nothing too interesting to report here. I'm taking the kids to visit their dad at work in a bit. He is a grad student, but just started this job as a baker for a local donut shop too. We get donuts for half price!

He's been measured and I know what size he needs I just didn't know how important width was when choosing shoes. I keep coming back to the Keens, I just don't want to get them if I'm going to hinder his foot development, ya know!
cbrandt1 , I've heard great things about Keen's but don't have personal experience with them. I got DD these Merrell sandals last summer and again for this summer, and they have worked well. If she's going to be submerging her feet in water, I have her wear her Crocs (LOVE and highly recommend) or her aqua socks if we're actually at the beach/lake.
That's too bad about the Stride Rite shoes - DD has had at least 10 pairs of Stride Rite shoes over the last 1.5-2 years, and none of them have worn out before she moved on to the next size up (whereas other brands have fallen apart quickly). Were the ones you got actually Stride Rite brand or were they another brand that was sold at Stride Rite?
ETA - DD has a wide foot, so I do buy wide when it's available - she seems to outgrow shoes faster if they are normal width.
