Yay, so glad Jackson is having good days! He looks so sweet and snuggly in his swaddle!
They actually had him wrapped in a pillowcase again when we went in yesterday (the pic is from the day before) I think because he got to warm. I accidendly made it twice the length it should have been so it had to be folded in half and its flannel. I was so annoyed with my self when I held it up and realized i forgot to account for the fold in my mesurements so it ended up twice as long as I intended, but at that point I had already finished the edges so I said screw it. I figure I'll leave it how it is and turn it into a changing pad cover when he comes home until then they can use it to cover hisl bed.

Well yesterday strarted out ok. Jacksons vet settings where at 50 he's been slowly climbing up again but the nurses amd doctors didn't seem really worried well on our way out of the hospital last night a nurse stoped us and told is the are moving him to his own room and putting him in isolation because he has another infection. They didn't know excatly what yet they where waiting on a call back form infectious diseases. So now when we go to see him we have to be fully covered in gowns, caps, masks and gloves. Seriously I'm just so, I honestly don't even know. I'm scared and just overwhelmed I guess.

Big hugs lovetruly2015. Scared and overwhelmed are very natural feelings. You're such a strong mama and you're doing an amazing job. I hope he can fight off the infection quickly.

Last nights update my DH wrote copied and pasted from our public page, sorry I didn't get around to posting last night I just needed to snuggle with DH and pup last night and cry it out and sleep, lots of sleep. ---
Well Jackson has been very busy creating trouble today! Late last night we were informed that he has another infection in his lungs, but this time it's different. He was moved in to isolation because he has a bacterial infection called Acinetobacter Baumannii. Needless to say I didn't have a clue what that was so I did a search on the cdc website. The readers digest version is that it's a bacteria that is almost exclusively in hospitals and it attacks people with compromised immune systems and those on ventilators are susceptible to it as well. It's drug resistant so they have to do sensitivity cultures to figure out what will work to kill it. His ventilator settings are still around fifty but he is having a lot more secretions in his lungs. They have to suction him regularly to keep his ventilator low. Needless to say we are a little bummed by this set back but hopeful that he can get back on track fast.

He's proven himself to be such a little fighter already! My thoughts are with you 3 as he fights through the infection. I really hope he kicks it quickly and can get back on track!!

One small step forward. He's out of isolation. So we no longer have to wear a mask to sit with him. Which means im spending the rest of the day at the hospital! Sitting for hours in a paper gown I can handle the mask not so much feels like you can't breathe after a while.

Well Jackson is doing well today. His oxygen was between 45-50 so slightly lower. They have narrowed down the best antibiotics for the infection and will have him on that for the next 5-7 days to try and kick his infection. He was very alert tonight which was nice. And he is officially and completely out of isolation so no gowns or gloves required woohoo!

Well Jackson has been steady all weekend they managed to get his vent settings down to 30 today he has been at about 32-40 so he is slowly creeping down. Other than that not much to report which is ok. Slow steady uneventful days are good days. He's up to 3lbs 2 oz now and 15in long.
