It's going to be toasty here today...93! My doc suggested I float in a pool to relieve my joints, but I can't find a maternity swim top and only have access to the public pool. DH doesn't want me to go there and "catch some sort of disease". So I'll likely be putsing around the house cleaning today.

A friend is bringing us a meal tonight and the in laws are taking DS swimming this morning. We are going to try to go back to church tomorrow-I'm excited to show DD off!
pbandj714 could you just wear a sports bra and t shirt (maternity or otherwise) with some shorts? I don't think you necessarily need to have a swim top to go. A pool sounds really nice right about now!

I probably could, but for whatever reason I'm uncomfortable with the idea of a tshirt in the pool. I guess maybe I could find a maternity workout shirt with quick dry material that could work.
I have to make a lot of cookie dough this morning. Then DH is taking his dad to the Dixie Chicks concert. I'm going along for the ride and to hang out before the concert. I'll hang out in the hotel while they are at the concert. I love the place where the concert is so it should be fun.
I'm going swimming today at a low key day resort with two of my nephews and SIL. I just got a giant regular top (not maternity) and shorts bottoms and a coverup.i am comfortable enough to wear a 2 piece at home but who knows if I'll chicken out once I'm at the pool. I may end up putting a tank top over the top to cover my belly when I swim.
On a somewhat related note I can't believe how big my boobs have gotten. It's ridiculous and they're going to get bigger when I'm BF?? I miss my perky D's, these huge G's or whatever are too much.
pbandj714 I would definitely get a tank top and short shorts and go for it. It's practically the same thing as a tankini with boy short swim suit.
We are At swim class this morning. The regular swim teacher is out. So the swim director who is a like a 23 year old guy is trying to teach the class. It's hilarious because I know him and he has no idea what he's doing but he's being super silly so DS is loving it. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Come on June babies!!!
Up to 96 here today so we were thinking either something at a pool or the splash park with DD or something indoors but we want to do something fun with her because we don't know how many weekends we have left as a family of 3. She's pretty grumpy today though so we will see what happens. I feel like contractions have died off now. Wednesday and Thursday I was really starting to think things were happening and now nothing so I'm just going to try to stop thinking about it and enjoy our time left as 3.
We went for a long walk this morning. Nothing came of this except for a constant rock hard belly, exhaustion, and some good release for the toddler. We're going bowling later today, so that should be kinda fun/tiring. Now I want to go swimming though.
Survived second night in the hospital but zero sleep. Mama is tired. The uterine contractions are no joke second time around. I asked if I could get an epidural we get to go home today... Just waiting on Doctor to come release us. I'm really looking forward to being home and ds is so excited to show R all his toys. Dh was a huge grumpy nightmare last night and even made a comment about how he doesn't do well with no sleep. I will reiterate that he'll be sleeping in the basement so I don't have to deal with his tude. Once he got a couple hours of sleep he's been changing diapers and being baby whisperer this morning so we're back to normal. I just can't handle the tude when I didn't sleep a wink and my stomach is in pain and soon boobs.
pbandj714 I wore a long loose tank top and bathing suit at 38 weeks and it made me comfortable enough. A little weird wearing cotton in the pool but I don't think you'll regret a dip when it's so hot!

I'm glad you get to go home today! DH is the same about sleep and I have no sympathy and always end up being a little rude in the night when I need his help because I'm annoyed..."wake UP!!!! You don't have bleeding nipples!" Oops.
Come on June babies...we need at least one this weekend!
The other week I just wore my normal bathing suit. But I was also just sitting in the baby pool at home. Probably wouldn't take that shit public. I would just do a maternity tank.
Thankful it's not 93 degrees here! But would still love to float. Not gonna happen though. DW took DD to her cousins bday party an hour or so away and I opted to stay home. I'm gonna hopefully finish up some work once and for all and then go hang at my parents which is nearby. I decided I'm done working once I finish this task cuz I just don't GAF anymore. So that'll be one thing off my plate. I woke up this morning and was like ugh I'm still pregnant!? Lol.
The dogs are home! My parents have been looking after our two dogs while we got settled and my sister just dropped them off. They are definitely interested, but calm. We will see how they behave when they get their energy back after playing with my parents' four dogs all week.
MIL is here. She drives me crazy at the best of times, but I'm trying to be as patient as I can. For a woman who had two kids, however, she does not know how to hold a baby. I wanted to take him out of her arms last night because his head was at such an awkward angle, but I settled for suggesting she sit somewhere more comfortable to keep her arms propped so they wouldn't get tired.
DH's cousin died the same day M was born. It is an awful situation. I can't imagine hearing that your brother (DH's dad) was becoming a grandfather for the second time on the same day your own son dies. There were serious substance abuse and mental health issues involved, so it is not surprising, but still very sad. He was a good guy, despite the difficulties he faced, and it's been a hard juxtaposition for DH.
mladerri Both times DH has given me attitude since the birth I've burst immediately into tears. I don't normally cry easily but I don't have a lot of emotional reserves right now! Since the second incident he's reigned in any urges he might be having to be snippy.
It's going to be 90 here today too. We have a 2 year old bday party to go to later today. Hope there is some shade for me. Should be fun for DS though. It is farm themed and they hired this singer who dresses up as a farm girl and sings kids songs.
Before that I have a pedicure appointment. I am so excited for it. My feet need this.
DH doesn't want me to go there and "catch some sort of disease".
So glad my husband isn't the only one whose brain works this way.... I could hear this coming out of his mouth word for word. Too funny!
DH is similar. He doesn't want me taking DD1 to the local pool because "it may not be super clean". I'm going to let him be the one to e plain that to the toddler.
I woke up at 5:45am to a sleeping baby, DS and DH and could not get back to sleep, everyone slept until 7. It's only an extra hour but I could have really used it. Going to attempt a morning nap with the baby soon.
Quiet morning here then we are going to my parents house in the afternoon for dinner to see some family visiting from out of town. Luckily the group won't be too big, I'm not ready for that with the baby. I will Have the pleasure of listeningto my very well meaning aunt give me all sorts of unsolicited baby advice, but at least I will be able to drink some wine.
It's 90 here right now as well. DD just asked to go to the playground, and H was up for it thankfully. I foresee some irritability on my part in the heat... Now I get to sit!
Last night I noticed a sweet new field of stretch marks on my lower belly. At least my knee feels better.

I have a very short list of easy tasks I want to accomplish today (since we head out tomorrow to have a baby!!!) but I am soooo comfy on this couch.
I am so happy H and I ended up with a full lazy day to ourselves this weekend, despite all the graduation/family chaos. This is our last weekend as a family of only 2 humans!
Well I feel disgusting. I tried on the shorts I wore post partum with DS and couldn't get them over my thighs. I really don't want to have to buy new clothes.

Maybe they'll fit when your new LO is here and the extra water goes away.
