klongoria11 The highest fever Mara has ever had with an EI was 99.3. The only way I know to take her in is when she's waking up a lot at night. I hope it's not her ears though because y'all just got over an EI a few weeks ago, too!
My kid is only eating pouches and has a terrible cough. He wouldn't even touch blueberries this morning. I'm thinking DC will call me any minute to come get him. He hasn't thrown up and has no fever but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he's a vomit fountain.
I feel awful today. I must be coming down with something, I wish it would just hurry up and escalate into whatever it is. It still just feels like a bad cold that is coming. Ugh. The only upside to this is that since G sleeps through the night now, I don't feel bad taking NyQuil to knock myself out.
Yup. And cranky and clinging and whiny. But not pulling at his ears or anything. He's never had one so I don't know. I had them for years and had tubes twice as a kid but I don't remember the symptoms.
I'd take him in to have it checked out. A always pulled at his ears when he's tired but not any more than usual when he had an EI. Not every kid will tug on their ears. Does he scream pretty much right away when you lie him down?

cagoldi you need a break boo. I'm so sorry A is sick almost all the time. I know that must be so hard on all three of you. I wish there was something I could do.

We just got back from the dr finally all caught up with her shots! We had to push back a few because of her fever.
And HOLY FUCKEN SNOW! Is that what I'm flying into in a few days? Ugh I could throat punch my little brother for having his wedding in February in Jersey. Ain't nobody want to go to jersey in February.
cagoldi I wrote you a post but don't feel like you need to answer any time soon. You have a lot on your plate.
I'm try to figure out how to check PMs on mobile. You've got a lot going on also. We're okay, it's just frustrating. I feel like there are only two days a month when my dude is really my dude. The rest of the time he's sick, teething, or both. We just need a lot more good days than we have been getting, you know?
I just made a low-carb menu for the week for DH. I hope he appreciates my ass giving up pasta for him. If he gorges on cookies after dinner I will kill him.

Whew up for air! Silly Job.
Guys! We got our tax return today AND DH's bonus! We paid off our credit cards and the hospital bill from the RSV stint last year!!! YAY!!!!
cagoldi, I am with you where it seems like its always something you're dealing with except those white whale days where LO is his/her-self.
Isaac was coughing a ton last night from drool. He is a faucet and this dumb tooth cannot break through fast enough.
Ok and TP to the grocery store. If your deli says you have chicken tortilla soup on Mondays don't look at me like I'm a escapee from the loony bin when I ask for it, on a Monday!

I think the hospital forgot to give me Cadence's owner's manual when she was born.
cagoldi I hope A doesn't puke! tjhine I hope your week is better! How did T get a finger infection? @mx2 Glad C is feeling a little better!! To all the sick Mamas and/or LOs FEEL BETTER SOON!!!!

ladystrat I was very nervous about lead- our house was originally built 1880, and we have been renovating ourselves. We did the blood test for LO and it came back fine, well under the limit. Hopefully you have nothing to worry about but def. have her tested for peace of mind. You and DH should be fine. Oh and I was told the lead level would have to be really high to need treatment and even low amounts can work out if their system over time- the key is to prevent long term unknown exposure.

Re: rompers I loved all the rompers last spring and summer. I agree that the 'fitted' ones with the waist on them seem a bit older which is nice. I have a few one piece outfits for B I can't wait for her to wear, mostly because that will mean it's warm out and not a snow storm!
MH just got the call offering him the Job! Since its a promotion within his agency it will be a pretty smooth transition. He will officially take the reigns in about 30 days!
Oh yeah I keep meaning to mention this. C has started refusing mac and cheese. At first I thought it was because he was annoyed about me mixing broccoli in it, but he refused it plain, too. DH thought he was just being difficult, but he literally cries whenever he accidentally gets a shell in his mouth...? He eats pasta and grilled cheese, so I can't imagine it's an allergy.
It's just so weird. It was his favorite and now he won't touch it. I guess this is what being 1 is about?
I hope everyone starts feeling better! Ryland seems perfectly fine now, after puking all weekend, so hopefully it was just a 24 hour tummy bug!!
You guys, I got in a Facebook war last night! I never get involved in these things, but last night I had to! I'm a part of a FB page for the neighborhood we live in, and last night some woman posted that she didn't understand all these lazy ass parents who let their kids play out front and ride their bikes in the street instead of walking them down to the park, and she didn't think she should have to slow down when THERE ARE CHILDREN PLAYING IN THE ROAD because they should only be playing in the parks! I take my 5, 3 and 1 year old out front to play almost every afternoon between nap time and dinner. My five year old is just learning to ride his bike so we let him practice in the street. I am standing right there the whole time supervising and he knows to get out of the road when cars come, but this lady really rubbed me the wrong way. Anyway, I gave her a piece of my mind and asked if she was one of the jerks speeding through our subdivision. A lot of other people jumped in to rip her a new one too, and then she dirty deleted the post. honestly, it made me a little nostalgic for the good old days at the dump with some of the special snowflakes!!!

Hi all! I'm still in my gross gym clothes from this morning. The boy has a fever. I had to drive cleaning lady home because snow. I did a Costco run because W30 means I need to spend millions on groceries every week but I wanted to say hi! I have a personal goal of doing laundry today but, fuck it. I need a shower and soft pants.
Hugs and congrats and fingers crossed to all the sick babies, stubborn babies, job opportunities/kudos for you and your SO's and soon-to-be-born babies!
If you're lurking the parenting w30 thread, say hi! The more support the better!
Also, I'm working on getting a private N13 group here. As soon as it's up and running, I'll give you the details.
Why did no one tell me that SAHM is such an exhausting job? I'm getting in the shower. Or maybe a bath?!

Yeah. A has been very picky the last couple days. I offered tried and true favorites all weekend and it's anyone's guess what he will eat, if at all.

B used to eat anything and everything. Lately she's been refusing past favorites as well. She'll even gobble something up for lunch then refuse it for dinner- crazy
I'm starting to get pissed at all the food that ends up on the floor. Also, LO used to happily eat cheerios out of a spill proof cup every morning while I got ready. Now he throws them EVERYWHERE by the fist full. WHY?! JoeLies I am right there with you. Let me know if you figure out the toddler food mysteries of the universe.
And then at daycare, I give him a bowl with cereal in it while I'm dropping him off. He sits like a perfect gentleman at his tiny table and no one would ever know he's a food-throwing monster at home. Crazy kid.

Ok, apparently I spoke to soon. Ryland just threw up again. I have no idea what's going on. He was fine yesterday and seemed fine this morning, no fever or anything. He's sleeping now, so we'll see what it looks like when he wakes up.
