I was going to say good morning, but I realized it's noon. Oops? I'm late checking in today!
Somehow I thought it would be a good idea to go to Ikea this morning. Ignoring that as of this past week, walking for too long makes me especially achy and brings out the RLP. Sure, let's walk around the miles-long store. Derp. I was going to scope out nursery furniture, and I think I might have struck out. The dresser I thought might work with the BRU crib I like is waaaay more blue in person than the online picture looks.
I'm team messenger bag. Or backpacks. Backpacks make for great baby bags FYI
Fanny pack duh..... lol j/k
I own a very nice fanny pack thankyouverymuch. It's handmade out of really nice leather and I bought it in Branson. You guys can make fun all you want but it comes in real handy on vacations.

Cross body might be a good idea. Shoulder ones always fall off me. I'm probably doing it wrong. But I'm hesitant of cross body straps because giant boobs! I definitely don't want that strap in between them to make them stand out more than they already do!
I only buy cross body purses because I, too, hate carrying things (and you think it's tough finding pockets on maternity pants? Try skirts!!), and they always slide off my shoulders too. I think I have narrow shoulders because I have the same problem with my brastraps.
I don't identify with your boob problem though. You could always get a fanny pack!!

I have the big boob problem but actually love cross body purses. I love that they are totally hands free. Shoulder ones get too heavy on my shoulders. Plus they make some pretty big cross body purses, so I can still carry enough. I guess I just ignore the fact that the strap goes between my boobs and makes them more prominent. I figure they are big enough that they are going to stand out no matter what I do.
I'm so tired and lazy today. I got a text early this morning from my sister. They had to take my sweet 7-year-old niece to the ER this morning because she was throwing up all night and had a high amount of ketones in her urine. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in August and this was their first emergency with it. She's been discharged because she was doing better, but started throwing up again at home. she has a stomach bug apparently, but it's not good for her diabetes. I've been worrying about her all day and not very motivated to clean the house like I should be doing. At least the laundry is getting done...
Why is it so frowned upon for pregnant ladies to have pockets in their effing clothes? Maternity pants have back pockets, but not front pockets. Of course yoga pants don't have pockets. Only one of my maternity jackets has pockets. The rest are pocketless. I have to choose which pants to wear with with jacket just to make sure I have somewhere to put my phone and keys. Ugh.
How weird. All my ON maternity pants have pockets!
saralynn91 I'm so sorry you have to deal with this.

That poor girl. I hope she gets better and they can keep her diabetes in order.
Thank you! She's sleeping now, but my mom told me it was really bad. I just want to go cuddle with her, but I know it's best for me and the baby to stay away.

Awwww...I'm really sorry. I hope she feels better soon and that the docs get everything squared away. It sounds like she went into DKA and that is SUPER scary!
saralynn91 I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I hope that you can find a good support system for both you and for him.
laur1020 Poor thing! I hope that she's feeling better soon.
It's so weird that some maternity pants have pockets and some don't. My Motherhood Maternity jeans don't have front pockets, but I actually think they fit much better and stay up better than my Target Liz Lange jeans that do have front pockets.

I feel you on this. I only have one pair of maternity pants with front pockets and I love them because of it. Some of my maternity pants don't have front OR back pockets for some reason. It drives me nuts.
So my close friend is getting married April 26th. My due date is May 8th. I really want to make it but I'll feel shitty if we rsvp yes and then can't go. Not sure what the right thing to do is.

Is it out of town? If it's close to home I would RSVP "yes" and if the baby comes early I think she would understand.
It's close. I think that's what I'll do. I just feel bad if she pays for 2 plates and we don't show, but I guess we can just send a gift. Idk what the hell I'm going to wear. A tent, perhaps?
I get so annoyed when I look at reviews online for baby items and people leave reviews based solely on appearance, like they like the color or pattern. On things like strollers! I mean really there's a lot more to buying a stroller than getting one that's cute
I'm going to be flying back to OH from CA for a baby shower, after all. I'm debating which would be more comfortable, taking a nonstop flight (one 4.5-5 hour flight) to get it all done and over with at once, or, booking one with a layover (two 2.5ish hour flights) so I can get off the plane and stretch my legs. I'll be 30 weeks. Hmm...
Add me to the got no sleep list I banged the outside of my knee badly last night and the huge scrape and bruise are painful, plus my hip decided to be in so much pain that I was almost in tears in the middle of the night. And then DH got up about a billion times, which meant I woke up too. He decided to call in sick but my company has the most terrible sick time policy so here I am. Ugh.
Sorry to hear about your injuries I have been having awful hip pain, too. It seems to happen after about 30 minutes of lying on one side, so I'm flipping back and forth now all night long. Are you doing anything that helps the pain? Pillows? Stretches?

robotpcrsweetieheart32 have either of you tried pillows? I have been getting random back and hip pain at night and I started putting a pillow between my legs and another behind my back to help keep me on my side and give more support. I have slept like a rock since I started this!

I would go for the layover. I had a hard enough time sitting through a production of Sister Act last night. The chance to get up and strech (and a non-airplane bathroom) would be the winner for me.
ETA: I don't know how Brit Brit got in there at first.

I would go with the nonstop flight. The one with a layover seems like it would be such a long exhausting day (air travel always makes me so tired!)
We are going to aruba on Thursday-about a 5 hr flight and I will be 26+ weeks. My dr told me to just get up frequently and walk to the bathroom to stretch and get blood flowing.

Or when the reviews are "baby hasn't been born yet, so I haven't used it yet. But I can tell I'm really gonna like it." Really? How can you tell? There's a lot of shit I own that I can just "tell" that I'll like it but end up hating it.

It makes me incredibly stabby.
Yes, exactly! There are so many that start with saying the baby isn't even here yet but it's so cute.
