Welcome and good luck. I echo what others have said about the quickness of getting pregnant before having nothing to do with now. I got pregnant with DD in the second month of trying. Now here I am in my 14th cycle this time with no luck, even after months of meds and IUIs.
Shrug. The implication that she is freaking out is odd. It's ok to feel worried or anxious. Anecdotally, my OB told me to come back after 6 months of TFAS if not successful.
Anyway, I hope you're successful soon and don't have to stay long. Lots to be learned here!!
Ok, but we as an educated board know that you are not having issues trying to conceive at 6 months of trying unless your AMA. Most REs and most insurances will make you go the standard year of trying. OBs are not the most informed when it comes to TTC.

Welcome to the board. I'm so sorry for you loss. Give it some more timr before you start worrying. I know that is easier said than done; but even if you conceived your LO quickly, your body is different now and it might be take a little bit longer.
+1
I get it. We conceived DS after 5 months of NTNP, just going with it. Boom, KU. This time around we are now on cycle 25 and month 22 with 3 losses. I didn't even get my first BFP until we had been TTC for a year so it was a little like, WTF body?
But still. Don't borrow trouble. You said you just finished BFing, your body is going through all sorts of changes. Give it time, start temping to see what your body is doing.

I can relate to the WTF body comment.. Thanks for the insight.. I've noticed temping is popular but I don't think it will work for me since I work the night shift. I have been doing ovulation kits for 2 months now. One month showed a peak very late in my cycle making an 8 day luteal phase and the most recent month I never peaked. Any insight?

I believe there might be one or two posters who work the night shift as well. You really just need 3 consecutive hours of sleep around the same time and you should be able to pinpoint ovulation. I never got accurate readings with OPKs alone.

Lol nope. OPKs are a great tool to include with others but they are still a secondary fertility sign. For me, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
Even though you're working nights, do you still have the same sleep routine daily? If so, I would just start temping when you wake up from your biggest block of sleep.
There is info about shift work in the Fertility Friend Q&A and I know there are some ladies here who are on nights also...names are escaping me though.

It's still possible to temp even working night shifts, the Fertility Friend app most around here use has information about it. It's worth a shot, at least. As for OPKs, I never was able to get a positive OPK but confirmed through temping that I did indeed O every month. If I'd gone only by OPKs I would have to assume I never O at all.

Oh interesting about how helpful temping was for you. It seems like you may have shared the same concerns I have at some point? You guys are very persuasive, I was pretty set on not temping but I'm thinking it's worth a shot! Do you recommend any products that I can get at a cvs or Walmart?

I didn't have a concern that I was having trouble TFAS, I temped as a way to learn my body & determine whether or not I hit my fertility week. I'm a planner, I like information & details. I used a thermometer from CVS, others recommend the Mabis which I believe you can get at Walmart. They're like..$10? Fertility Friend app is free.

I thought you were implying that you thought you weren't ovulating and temping helped clarify things. I'll check out Walmart today for those thermometers.

Sorry for the confusion, I was just trying to point out that OPKs aren't reliable in confirming O. I temped from the beginning & used OPKs in conjunction. I never got +OPKs, but thanks to temping I was able to confirm I was indeed Oing each month. I gave up on the OPKs pretty quickly, but if you are able to catch your surge they're a good secondary tool to use.
This board has a lot of information to offer, and these ladies can be a HUGE support. That being said, they're honest & will give you tough love when needed. Good luck to you.

The ladies here are very knowledgeable. I lurked before I even got off BCP, and because of that I decided to start temping even before we were actually TTC, just so I could learn more about me body. It's been very helpful, and very easy once it becomes a daily habit. I highly recommend it!
