Anyone have any tips for swaddling? DS is suddenly Houdini. I was using a receiving blanket folded in 3rds to keep his arms down, then swaddled with an A&A muslin wrap.

My LO is the same. He is even unsnapping the snaps on the A&A muslin wrap

My Mum has just arrived from Australia to visit. She has no return ticket so I have no idea how long she is staying. DD is loving it though and I'm enjoying having someone else to help with reading and playing with her etc.
We visited DHs parents and grandparents a week ago. Then we were home 3 days before leaving for a 5 day camping trip. We got home last night at 8pm. I'm working on unpacking and cleaning today while watching 2 LOs and I get a text that DHs grandparents are coming to visit for 3 days and will be here at 4. Who does that?!? And I have no groceries, especially not gluten-free, which they need. Someone save me.

I would be fuming. Why wouldn't they give you a heads up? Or even better, ask when a good time to visit is. Can you tell them today won't work? What about a hotel for a night?

Thankfully when they visit they bring their camper. I still have to have food on hand and clean the mountain of laundry in my living room.
Believe it or not, this is an improvement on their communication. This time they texted when they left home. They live about 4 hours away and have just shown up before and said they weren't sure where they were headed until they got here. They mean well but I need a break before traveling for the 4th.
I miss my slight oversupply with D. I hope he doesn't eat a lot at daycare.
Don't be so hard on yourself! You've done a great job EBFing for 3 months. I couldn't EBF any of my kids no matter how hard I tried. If they are eating, that's the only thing that matters. I hope you're having a good first day back at work!
So...I have another question. I hear a lot on here about these sit me ups..are they worth it? What ages are they good for? I really don't need another baby item but I'm considering getting one.
We got a sit me up and DS seems too tall for it. He doesn't hold his head up for long periods so it just rests back and looks uncomfortable. I'm hoping we get more use with better head control. He is also getting really long for his bath so I'm not sure what to do about that either.
Ugh! I added a double stroller to my registry so I could use one of the 15% off coupons. I forgot it was for my old address so now the stroller is delivered to our old house. F!!!!!

This is happening to us too! H and I decided it may be time to start transitioning S out of the swaddle. So we are trying one arm out tonight.
So I have been super busy with my younger sisters wedding and trying to come up with cool things to do in my classroom next year (I am not very crafty but everyone else on my team is so I have to step up my game). This weekend we threw my dad a surprise 60th bday party. It was the first time I had seen my older sister's fiancé since I had S and he just said, "hi! Losing that baby weight fast. Still have some to go though, huh?" I could've killed him. I was wearing pre pregnancy jeans that were admittedly a little tight and a tank top but who are you to comment on my weight?!?! My younger sister's fiancé was about to cream him. And to top it off, my older sister's fiancé also called S a "thing". Is it wrong to hope my older sister never marries this douche?!

The miracle blanket has been our lifesaver! Was getting 6 hours and after were getting 11! It's been consistent for 9 days.

I second the miracle blanket! It works wonders for us, DS cannot bust out of it .
