Ugh. Putting Freya down for her first nap. She's been waking for the day at 5:40/5:45. No clue why but it's driving me nuts. Throws off her whole nap schedule for the day. Plus I'm up at 5:45.
I'm tired. F has started doing this thing MOTN where I guess he is practicing crawling, except he can't crawl yet, so he flips on his stomach and scoots himself down the crib until his legs are through the crib rails. Then I have to go in and pull him up again, rinse, repeat. After 30 minutes, we gave up and Mh took him to sleep downstairs for a couple hours and then transferred him back to his crib. He is now sleeping on his stomach which never happens. It's making me real nervous in the Dockatot but it says they can tummy sleep...it isn't a hard mattress though.
5 more work days until a week vacation, only 2 more where my boss his here but only one of those I'm in the office. So pretty much I'm on vacation starting tomorrow.

I assume it would be meltdown city if you kept the same first nap time? Everything I read said to keep the first nap locked at a certain time so that when they do wake up early, they don't make it a habit if the morning nap was moved up.
Well, A was STTN until MERIKA WEEK! started in my state. Fireworks for hours every single frickin' night. Plus, she's teething. Send all the coffee. It'll go on like this until the 6th or 7th. Technically there's a cut off time, but few follow it and the police are a little busy responding to shots fired calls that are of the lead variety.
I miss Iowa and its fun hatin', fireworks bannin' ways.
We must have a tummy bug in our house . I went to get LO out of her bed this morning and there was throw up everywhere and she had diarrhea , I felt terrible she didn't even wake up and cry whenever it happened . And we are already in outfit #2 today . And I'm solo parenting until tomorrow afternoon . Send wine !!

It's pushing it to get to 8:30 😕 I'll keep working on trying to push her to the 9/9:15 nap time we were previously at.
cowplanet oh lord. I would die if 5:45 was sleeping in. Usually she's up around 6:30/7.
emejay Down side to 85-year-old MIL: Can't help with the babies but still insists she can hold 24-pound wiggly boy on her non-existent lab when she finds 1-2 pound dumbells heavy. Upside: She can't travel to stay at our house anymore.
britbratjf, We're both at work by 7:30. My alarm is set for 5:45 on the random days A sleeps past 5:20. It happens. It was starting to become more common until the fireworks started. Now our night begins at 1 a.m. and ends at 5 a.m. So much fun.
Ladies, an email just went out about cinnamon buns in the break room!
I've signed Rafa up for part time day care as of August so I'm determined to get him nap-trained starting today! He sleeps fine at night but naps have always been a battle so he always sleeps in the stroller. I've just put him down but he's squawking away in his crib. Urgh.
DH leaves today for a week in Panama so it's not great timing. Send all the wine.
I drank way to much this weekend and am horribly sunburnt. It was well worth it though. Noticed E had a tooth finally break through on Saturday. No more team no teeth! Also hangover city over here and not waning to work. Just need to make it through tomorrow and I am on a week long vacation.

You guys- we get the keys back to our place on Thursday! I'm so excited. Our stuff still won't be here until at least the 12th, but DH is going to set up camp in the house to work on it for the time being. Getting him out of here will be a huge stress relief. I have so much venting to do soon. So much.
I'm back at the office for the first time in a long time. June has been a wonderful month filled with vacations and babies and toddlers. I hate working.
My H is home with the kids today and tomorrow and our sitter is back Wednesday from her treatment. She couldn't be around the kids a few weeks because of the radioactive iodine. This much time away was more than enough, but definitely better to be on the safe side.
We are going through a merger and I feel like all the managers above me are scrambling around like crazy because they are worried what's going to happen with their positions. Obviously the other company has regional and area managers, and the question is whether they are going to keep ours or theirs. I can think of a few managers I wouldn't mind saying "Bye Felicia" to.
jessiespano, so glad there's a light at the end of the tunnel!
soyloca, good luck with naps. C still struggles sometimes.
C is doing really well sleeping in her crib. Last night she went down at 7. Woke up for a bottle at 4:40 and then went right back down until 6:40. It's soooooo nice not having a squirmy baby next to me all night. My nausea is still really bad. The medicine helped for a while but then stopped working. I'm coming to the end of the first trimester soon hopefully I'll start feeling better soon. I'm taking my oldest out for mani/pedi today and a nice lunch. I'm so excited for some older girl time!

@chitownsully - hugs. I could have written the same thing. I haven't nursed J in a month (and before that it was a fight), but I've been pumping. I'm down to two pumps a day with a goal to be done in 2.5 weeks when we leave for France. I'm waiting on my peppermint oil from Amazon to start actively drying up the milk. But I got really emotional this past weekend thinking that I should keep pumping because I'm stopping for me as opposed to anything else. Hormones can be a real bitch. I have to say, not nursing and giving a bottle has been nice because it's a pleasant experience as opposed to a fight. I hope you can enjoy the bottles too.
uclameghan No f'ing clue. It was stretchy? It's not the first time they've stuffed him into something too small. Do they not have any 24mo or 2T clothing backup? They never notified me that they need new backup clothes. I guess I have to track that myself even though some of my clothes for both kids have disappeared there and I have no idea if I'll see them again. I just got about 5 pairs of socks back this morning and a pair of shorts. I've told them multiple times that I'd rather they send home dirty clothes so I can wash them in our *unscented* detergent. One of the several annoyances I have with daycare and part of the reason I'm considering staying home after this next pregnancy.
sandj918 Not too bad so far. A little nausea, very tired, and lower abdominal discomfort. Tiredness might be related to being up at night a bunch for Miss G. U/s will probably be July 5. I'll schedule it tomorrow after the blood work comes back. Regarding baby clothes, see rant above.

Nothing like forgetting my hands free pumping bra to make me realize how awesome it is. I rigged something up with elastic bands so I at least have one hand free to scroll through the boards. Priorities.
We had a friend of ours stop by yesterday. So he brought a bunch of food and we had a nice cookout by the pool! H was hungover and got to sleep in till 10:30. I was up with both kids at 6:30 with only 4 hours of sleep since we stayed up being drunk & silly. I was fine but by the end of the day I was wiped out! I made it through GoT and it was lights out after, H wanted to fool around but sorry dude nothing could keep me awake.
We haven't done anything today. Well I did dishes. I put the good dinosaur on for DS and Val fell asleep nursing. So I slept with her it was so nice to cuddle my baby for a nap!
Now that we are finishing up lunch we might go sit by the pool.
