Our fridge finally got delivered today! I just finished restocking the fridge and am taking a breather before doing the freezer. Today has been pretty laid back and lazy
Had my 34w appt yesterday and my OB said at this point, go time could be any time! Ummmmm what?! We were so unprepared to hear that! She suggested we install the car seat this wkend (I know, I know, should've been done already right?) and to have my go bag packed and ready to go. My next appt is on 7/15 w/ an NST (she said due to "age"). Hopefully this LO will bake a little longer - mama wants to meet you but I also want you to be as healthy & fully baked as possible!
Happy 4th to the ladies stateside! And please be safe out there - a lot of crazies come out to "celebrate!"
What made her say go time could be any time now? Are you dilating or having contractions? I'm 35w today and just finally got the car seat base installed in one car (still need to do the other) but no hospital bag yet. I'm procrastinating
I keep forgetting I need to do things like pack a hospital bag and stock up on pads for after delivery. I've been so focused on getting ready for the baby I forgot about myself, lol.

I'm not sure either! Although she did, I guess, "clarify" that if I were to go into PTL, they wouldn't stop it and would rather deliver than not. She hasn't done a vaginal exam to check my cervix yet so I was a little thrown off by her comment as well.
eaglewife - I'm REALLY hoping that just b/c we're labor buddies, we won't be "going" on the same day! Lol! I'm counting down the days until the 29th for you!!
dc2london - I know that the hospital gives you mesh panties and my OB mentioned quite a bit of bleeding after birth. Would the new mesh panty Depends work better than pads?
We had an awesome family day today, and now H is going out for dinner and bar time with his friends. He totally deserves it, but I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself for being stuck with toddler dinner and bed (again) with no yummy dinner out and not even a glass of wine after she's in her bed. Woe is me!
Can you order delivery from a place that your DH would normally veto? My town has a delivery service that will go to any Restraunt/ grocery store with in a certain area and pick up what ever you need. Maybe you could do this and have them pick up some tasty dessert too!

This afternoon I made lower carb, higher protein & fiber cornbread for dinner for myself. Then I realized DH would hate it and also made my usual cornbread muffins (which we all like). Which cornbread did my girls prefer? The higher protein and fiber stuff. Score one for the healthy side.
Seriously, that stuff was so good I think I'm going to top it with whipped cream and fruit for night snack.
elm1214 our crib instructions stated to move rooms it had to be disassembled and then reassembled. So check with the safety instructions for yours.
Thanks, I will check! I don't think it will fit through the door put together anyway. I just feel bad that I'm making him put it together, take it apart, and reassemble again. Oh well, with all I have to deal with during pregnancy, he can be slightly inconvenienced with that!
agpjt413 I honestly don't know. I know plenty of people swear by the Depends after delivery, I just haven't tried them. I am actually not the biggest fan of the mesh panties though--wedgie city.

I think we finally have a name!!!!! For the reals!!! Spelling is still undecided. The name is Charlie Jane or alt spelling Charlea Jane.
Jane is my middle name, Lea is my husbands grandfather, father, his, and DD1's middle name. So if we go with the second spelling they will all be lea's to some degree.

I just got my trusty Always Infinity pads for after delivery last week. One tiny c-section perk is less bleeding after, so fewer massive hospital pads for me. I have sone designated PP underwear too. I just feel more human that way, and any way you feel more human PP is huge.
You guys, my cornbread was amazing with cottage cheese fluff "frosting" and balsamic vinegar soaked strawberries. One of the best things I have eaten on this diet,, and made entirely from leftovers. I am feeling happier than I have in days.

agpjt413 confession but I had to take a very significant career exam when eight weeks pregnant w S2. I knew every second counted in the exam and it had a less than fifty percent passing rate. I was in the stage where I peed every thirty minutes so I wore depends just in case. Fortunately during exams it's like when you sleep and I was able to make it through without having to pee myself:)
Anyway, I had a whole box left over for post partum and used one. It was so uncomfortable compared to just a pad. Really bulky and made me feel awkward.
I have postpartum stuff ready to go, but we haven't had our shower yet (2 weeks away) and it's driving me nuts because I really want to start setting up and organizing baby things but we don't have much yet. I feel unproductive!
hashbrownnofilter happy anniversary!! I've never been to Zahav but now I feel like I must go! Lol
We had a busy day. B got up at 6:30. We made goo, went to the park, then target, then chickfila, then to my aunts for a bbq, then to fireworks. I'm so exhausted.
Our 5 year is Saturday. We're thinking of getting a hotel (I've got a free Marriott night expiring in sept) somewhere but aren't sure where to go. I'm thinking Baltimore maybe.
I have been extra exhausted the past couple days. Like, return to first trimester tired. 3+ hour naps on top of 8-9 hour nights of sleep. And then baby has quieted way down. I am a little confused about when to be worried about movements/lack of. She normally dances around after meals, late at night, but she hasn't been super responsive yesterday or today. She kinda slid-moved a time or two, and hiccups have happened twice today, but otherwise, she is just quiet in there.
Ah well, she started out incredibly chill, maybe she is just back to being chill.

The Marriott in downtown Annapolis is really pretty.

What happens if you have juice or coffee?
Slowed movement is kind of worrisome. S2 was (and still is super chill) but his movements remained consistent.

Lol! Thanks for sharing that anecdote! Glad you didn't have to use it! I was referring to the Depends panties (marketed for active seniors). I saw some at Costco the other day (of course I wouldn't do a Costco purchase for these b/c I just don't need 80 of them!) and one of the boxes was opened. I took a peak and they look like what I'm imagining the hospital mesh panties look like. They're pretty thin and you pull them on. I may buy a small batch and use pads as well to see which I like better.
agpjt413, I have also thought about those depends. Is the amount you bleed proportional to how much you would bleed in a period? Like heavy period=heavy pp bleed?

This sounds like me lately--I just hit 35 weeks yesterday; what's your due date? (I'm mobile). I've been hitting "can't keep my eyes open" by 1 or 2, and if I ignore that, I have to sleep by 4:30. I got all panicked the other night because baby didn't wake up after the 2 big kids woke up. I did a cup of cold water & a kick count and all was well, though. Overall it seems like the baby is moving less, but when I focus on doing kick counts, there doesn't seem to be an issue.
Half way through our 16 mile bike ride. At the pool to swim and will ride home later. It wasn't that bad actually but I did stop around half way for a lot of water!
Wow I can't believe you are still biking. Pretty sure if I got on a bike I would just fall over. I walked about half a mile today, slowly, and stopped twice to sit on benches.

She isn't specifically responsive to food or drink of any kind. I have been borderline worried, but SO keeps telling me he thinks she's fine, and I would hate to have to go to the ER over nothing. I have been prone to over worrying about this pregnancy from the beginning, I don't know if my SO is just deaf to it now.

My babies also slowed down today. It made me really nervous but by the end of the day they moved enough that I felt reassured. I can't really do kick counts with two babies in there unfortunately.

Yeah, kick counting hasn't been reliable with this one, she just has had typical periods of lots of movement, and I am not getting them, especially today. I am just 32 weeks today, we are in the late August crew!
