finding a comfortable position to sleep and getting to sleep early enough is becoming impossible.
It's 3am snd I'm laying here wide awake...back pain, acid reflux, burping, hungry. I take tums & zantec but it only helps so much. I finally ate some fruit because couldn't stand feeling starving anymore but here comes the acid reflux back. Ugh can't win!

I am with you both. Add the grindy sounds my hips make whenever I move and its like you know my lyfe. The sandwich I ate 3 hrs ago refuses to leave me alone and digest already. Kinda takes the shine off a nice cold sandwich. Oh well, maybe I will actually get some sleep tonight. Good luck to us all! Haha
katelm, I had a big runaround problem with Amazon of all places awhile back. It sounds really rude, but when/if you call back, ask them immediately where their call center is located. If it is not US based, ask to be transferred somewhere that is. It sounds ridiculous and maybe racist, but honestly, with a tricky issue and reps trained on a script in other countries, things can easily get lost in the shuffle.
I kept getting told my issue (and its effing simple solution) were impossible until my SO did exactly what I described above. Instead of a call center somewhere in Asia, we landed with customer support in Texas, and got the problem fixed within a few minutes. And the rep supervisor (because we did escalate immediately off the base tier) was shocked by our experience. We had been repeatedly, blatantly lied to, over several phone calls. Amazon is KNOWN for excellent customer support, after all.
I can't believe Target would want to develop a bad support reputation, either. I really hope you are able to get this fixed! Persistence, however frustrating, is going to be key.
It's 4:30 and I'm up doing kick counts. I've been a little concerned the past couple days that her movement has slowed way down, and I just couldn't sleep. I'm worried I will end up in L&D for monitoring tomorrow, of course it has to be a holiday so I can't go in to my doctors office.
Hopefully she perks up again. Every time I've been about to call this weekend, she gave me a big short burst of movement that eases my mind, but overall her movement is a lot less.

Awake after only 4 hours of sleep. I was starving when I woke up so I ate a granola bar, now I can't lay down because of the reflux. Boo

Good morning ladies! Ugh, been awake for a while now. Sleeping in no longer exists. Baby girl enjoys having dance parties at like 5:30 am. So I'm chilling with kitty watching some early morning netflix.

I did it! I did 5k in just over an hour! My normal time is just under an hour but I'll take it at 35 weeks pregnant.
Handful of things Happened interesting last night. First I had trouble going to sleep. Finally passed out around midnight. Then woke up at around 3 and was awake but did some relaxation techniques and was almost asleep then the house phone rang. No one has our house phone number so I was frustrated it was ringing at 4am. Then my cell rang and it was foster care people. I'm guessing at some point we gave them the house number. They called to see if we could take a placement, no we can't but thanks for asking. Put on an hr long show that somehow was still going 2 hours later. That threw me off with waking up. Then we had to rush to get to the race on time.
I had a terrible dream last night. Woke up drenched in sweat at about 4am. So gross
I bought movie tickets the other day. Taking B to see finding dory. I thought the movie started at 11:10 and got here at about 11:05. Definitely doesn't start until 11:45 oops.
bocaburger I feel the same way about my mom/MIL. They're both making me insane with their ridiculous comments. DH started talking about names we picked out with MIL the other day after I purposely said like 15 times "we don't really have anything picked out- we're just going to wait until we meet the baby" because the comments are just ridiculous I'm sure the outfits are absolutely adorable!
Rogue I'm super impressed! I can't even waddle 5k at this point.
H's grandmother and her friend are also visiting my IL's right now. Her friend is an 87yo Holocaust survivor. Today she started sharing some of her stories with us and they are absolutely incredible. She had protected status through her father, who wasn't Jewish (Her mother was) and he was an important professor. So she had a very different experience than any other survivors I've talked to, and was able to share her stories from living in Germany before, during, and after the war. She is the exact same age as my grandfather who escaped Germany. It's been a really fascinating morning.
I ended up calling the on-call doctor since she hasn't been moving much so they sent me to L&D. Luckily everything looks good and I should be able to go home soon.
Of course baby girl started kicking the monitors as soon as they put them on, but I'm glad I came in for peace of mind.

elm1214, @veniya (belatedly) glad all is good with your LOs. Always best to get checked out!
Took my kids to the same 4th parade I grew up going to. We meet friends there so it was manageable without DH. The girls had a blast. Happy 4th to my fellow Americans! Everyone else, have a great day.

Just incase you were wondering. 110 degrees is the tempature at which a two year old No longer wants to play outside. She even said no to filling up her pool.
We saw finding dory today too, so cute then we went to the mall and hit build a bear and a few stores. Trying to stay out of the house so DH can work on it is exhausting.
I dropped a few pieces of pasta. Put the container back in the fridge and shut it. Bent over to pick up the pasta and the fridge door didn't shut all the way and swung back open. I caught it on my shoulder/back and the way up. Ouchies
Our 5 year is Saturday. We're thinking of getting a hotel (I've got a free Marriott night expiring in sept) somewhere but aren't sure where to go. I'm thinking Baltimore maybe.
The Marriott in downtown Annapolis is really pretty.
We looked and decided on Annapolis! It looks pretty there. Marriotts site is down so I can't book a hotel yet, but I am looking at restaurants. Any suggestions?

Looks like maybe I'm going to have the same prodromal labor as last time? In about an hour's time tonight, I had 3 BH contractions 10 min. apart, and then 7, 5 and 3 minutes apart (the 3rd through 6th were while I was driving home from MIL on the interstate with DH and the kids. They've since stopped, aside from a single BH here & there.). So I'm thinking I need to get a contraction timer on my phone. Does anyone have suggestions? There was 1 I really liked before, but I don't know what it was, and that was 4 years ago.

I love Annapolis! I used to live there and miss it greatly.
I like Pussers which is in the Marriott. But I normally prefer a liquid lunch there lol For brunch check out the Severn Inn. Reynolds Tavern has afternoon tea if you like that sort of thing. Buddy's crab shack is kind of touristy but fun. Cantlers is a little drive out of the way but also specializes in crabs and is amazing. Really most places are great. Annapolis Ice Cream is fantastic as well:) I'm so envious of you.
Except I won't eat at Mangias. I got food poisoning there once in college.
For activities, I'd walk along the water at the naval academy and perhaps do the tour. I think you just need a drivers license to get on base. Quiet waters park is fun to walk and hike as well. there are also plenty of boat tours and such and so many cute little shops.

Ok a few more. There's also boatyard which had a nice atmosphere and would be good for lunch or brunch and Harry Brownes which is historical and wonderful. Id suggest there or OLearys seafood if you want something super special for your anniversary dinner.

Today was amazing. Just got a lot done around the house. Never enough but it was fun nonetheless. The kids were good and played in the sprinklers. I was on a baking bender and made blueberry muffins, cherry brown butter bars, strawberry biscuits and strawberry milk that will be had for breakfast tomorrow and leftovers made into popcicles.
THEN (here is the highlight) we went to bed bath and beyond. I'd read somewhere they will sometimes let you buy the uppababy with their 20% off coupon even though it's listed as an exclusion. To refresh your memory, I was debating getting my second choice color because Amazon doesn't have the color I want. Anyway, I sent H in because I knew it was excluded and have no poker face and would feel like an idiot if they wouldn't let me use it. They gave him 20% off:) I am so pumped!
Went on a boat ride for fireworks and had a blast w the kids. Best day ever. Back to the grind tomorrow. Ugh.
