Not creative today. Just took DD to her dental appointment where I thought she was going to have her 2 cavities filled. Luckily the dentist just decided to watch them every 3 months until she's older.
I already felt like the worst Mom for it(she's 2.5), but then the dentist directly blamed my extended nursing on demand and co- sleeping, so that was a fun way to start the day.

I took the day off work to deal with some household stuff and other appointments. The HVAC guy called and is going to be 45 minutes late. Not really sure how that works since we're the first appointment of the day. I'm extremely irritated because keeping the rest of the day's schedule on track depends on getting out of the house on time after he's done.

Sorry the dentist was an ass fem. I'd be looking for a new one.
sodapop - It's getting to be so much work getting in and out of the car! Could you move your seat back while you're getting in and out to gove the belly more room?

It was a very parking space. I squeezed myself between the car and the door. Then I saw there were better and bigger parking spaces so I went back in the car. Not my greatest moment.

What's up with everybody today?
Your dentist sounds like an asshole. Sorry your day started off so lame.
ETA: And some kids just naturally have soft teeth. My brother had his first cavity when he was 3 or 4. His dentist at the time said it was just that his teeth were soft. They gave him this mouth rinse to help build up his enamel better. Save

One of my current favorite features about my car is that when you park and turn it off, the seat automatically moves all the way back, then moves back up to your "saved" position the next time you turn it on.
Now, getting in and out of H's Jeep is not working so well for me. It's higher off the ground, and he parks it on an incline. Pain in the butt to get my ass up into it, particularly if my back hurts. He's all "just put your butt on the seat and then rotate your legs in". 'Scuse me, but not all of us are giants - the lowest setting on the seat is still just above my tailbone. Save

Thanks (to everybody). He was the pediatric dentist we got referred to by our family dentist, and I've heard great things about him. I don't know if I have the energy to find another peds dentist nearby at this point.

I dropped C off for her first solo half day at her new daycare. She bawled... Which made me bawl. The worst. She quickly recovered though, so I went and got a mani/pedi.

@ fem I think you already winning at momming for bringing her to the dentist in general. Screw them and their judginess about your parenting. Makes me ragey when people are like that.

DD's been at the same place since she was 3 months old and has cried like that every single drop off. I know how hard it can be!! But they assure me she is happy 30 seconds after I leave so it has gotten a lot easier.

That's annoying. He probably slept in....
He basically admitted as much. It took a great amount of willpower to not rip him a new one. I shall reward myself with ice cream after lunch, haha.
I'm at DD's school district's main office now, they are testing her for the gifted program and I'm so nervous for her. She is super sensitive so I tried to be all breezy about it, because she was very worried about it for some reason. I'm taking her out for a mom & daughter lunch date afterwards.

Just doing some cleaning up today. Well trying anyways. I never feel like I get anywhere.
DH got something for Jackson's nursery and it was delivered yesterday. This is what happens when ypur DH is an avid hunter and outdoors men. And I'll admit I love it too. So cute, he just needs a name. Bruce??

Hi ladies. Popping by to check in with everyone. I cannot believe that I am 31 weeks! Where did the time go?!?
I am not sure I mentioned, but I am interviewing for a position and am a finalist. I had my second and final interview last week and hope to hear back in the next week or so. They are interviewing the other finalist this week. I am hoping I get it, but it could mean that I will miss out on some maternity benefits, my annual bonus, and my benefits that will cover 100% of my MW fee. It is a great opportunity for my family though, so there's that.
Went house hunting this past weekend and am searching for a realtor. Looking forward to mountain living again.
Finally, DD is transitioned to the toddler bed. She was awesome at it. She does wake up once a night because she either falls out or just wants a hug. She still hasn't figured out that she can get out of bed and open the door whenever she wants. She just sits there and cries or talks to herself till I come in. I am not planning on telling her anytime soon.
My doctor's office still hasn't put the prescription through for the test strips and lancets I need for my glucometer thingy. Their phone line is down this afternoon too. I thought about just buying some myself, but they're $85 for a box of 50, and I'm not going to shell out that much and then have the insurance company tell me I bought the wrong thing so they won't reimburse.
I do have to appreciate that I can buy the actual meter at rite-aid for $20, but the strips are $85. What a racket.

It's been a busy day at home today. DD slept in until after 9, so even though I woke long before that I stayed in bed till she woke. I don't sleep well so I tend to stay in bed as long as possible in the morning.
After she woke we got up, watched a tiny bit of the news, then I put on Daniel Tiger for her and made breakfast. Then I tackled the laundry that was washed on Saturday still needed folded and put away. Some of it was newborn stuff! So now I feel like yay I've done something for baby lol. Although it will only be enough for a couple days lol. The little sister sleeper is what I think we'll bring her home from the hospital in.
So after all that, and some braxton hicks, I cleaned more and made lunch, then got DD down for a nap and FINALLY watched the season finale of The 100.
Now DS is playing video games and I need to tackle the rest of the laundry that's been piling up in my room. It's weird, I'm finally feeling "nesty". I had my baby shower on Sunday so yesterday I went through the stuff and organized it all, and I'm hoping to get more baby stuff done today. I'm weirdly wanting to pack my hospital bag, but I won't. We're going on vacation in a week and a half, so maybe packing for that will help me feel accomplished.
Happy Tuesday!
Oh, and for fun (and PDQ because I will want to delete this pic) I was at my parents home yesterday and my mom wanted to swim. Well we have swimming diapers there so DD can swim even though we didn't bring her swim suit, and DS found swim trunks that fit so he could swim, but I had nothing. I ended up finding one of my sisters old ones, and while I find it nasty to share bottoms, I really wanted to get in the pool. So here I am in non maternity swimwear. I took the pic to share with my sister because I thought I looked ridiculous.
