DS is dropping percentiles as well and gaining weight slowly. So can sympathize with the trying not to freak oUt :/
Ugh it's the worst. But he's so happy otherwise! So much more than his sister was. I've tried pumping after he eats and feeding him that in a bottle or with a tube taped to my finger, but he just smiles and spits it all out. He's obviously full. And I can only pump about a half ounce after he eats, so I think he's just really fast. But the numbers say otherwise. I'm at a loss! Also this really probably belongs in the breastfeeding thread but I'm exhausted so here it stays.
You pretty much described DS as well. Right down to the smile. I feel like we've tried "everything" except supplementing (which if the doctor recommended I would do in a heart beat). Right now it's feeding on demand at night and every two hours during the day. Lol
My lo smells like cheese. He's getting a bath when he wakes up.
This my last week of nursing. Some days I'm totally okay with it, other days I want to cry just thinking about it.
Lo only woke up twice last night. I kind of ignored him when he started to fuss at 4am and he ended up staying asleep until 6:30!! I might try just leaving him when he starts to fuss at his first wakeup and see if he stays asleep. I usually grab him before he actually wakes up that way I can change him while he's still asleep and pretty quiet.
Today's my birthday and so far it's sucked because of a fussy baby that won't sleep! I'm soooooo tired! She was up for 3 hours in the middle of the night and I couldn't get h to wake up and help. I wish I could sleep as hard as he does.

Happy birthday!! Wish I was there to babysit R for a couple hours to give you a break!

Normal weight gain at this age is 20-30g per day. The percentiles mean nothing. Babies take 3-4 months to find their percentile. Percentile at birth is related to in utero conditions. Then they are born and their genetics take over. C was born at 93rd and now is hovering around 25th. It sounds like both of your babies are doing great.
And 4 oz per feed at every feed is crazy. Babies don't eat like that. They will take 6 oz at one and 2 at another.
DS (our little Clomid miracle) born Sept. 25, 2012 Baby #2 lost at 8w3d on March 4, 2015 (EDD Oct. 11, 2015) Baby #3 lost at 5w2d on April 16, 2015 (EDD Dec. 15, 2015) Baby #4 lost at 4w1d on May 20, 2015 (EDD Jan. 25, 2016) DS2 (our little rainbow miracle) born May 25, 2016
Walk number one is done and she's asleep in her wrap. Normally I would take her out, but I'm not risking it right now. Hopefully we can chill on the couch for a couple hours and I can get some rest.
We just went grocery shopping and it was a mess ... Ry was in the ergo and threw up all over me and him ... I brought him to the bathroom changed and cleaned him up but I didn't have another shirt so thank goodness I had a tank top on. Then he was fussy the rest of the time we were there. I think I need a nap now

Same and sometimes on demand at night is still every hour. I think he's just a snacker.

I could hug you. I really don't know why they focus so much on the percentiles... Our office is so very current on everything else!

annarose, I'm right there with you. I thought we were doing well once night, that poop was back to yellow, but i've been dairy-free since 4th of july and poops are still green. No more blood though. We have an appt this week!
Yes, I thought of you when I posted. Our poop has been green since Wednesday and the doctor said it had a very very tiny amount of blood in it but that LO must be handling it well since she's not colicky or reflux. She is gaining and growing just fine. She said I could try cutting dairy if I wanted to. She tends to be crabbier than DD1 was and I hate thinking that there is blood in her poop. Maybe she crabby because she just doesn't feel 100% so I will cut out all obvious dairy and do my very best for "hidden" dairy to that can be In crackers, bread and other things.
And k3am I looked at my beloved Coffee Mate Coconut Cream flavored cream - it's non dairy! It has one ingredient that is derived from dairy though but I will hang onto it for a while and cut it last if it comes to that

Our family doctor doesn't even tell me the percentile. He is only concerned with whether or not they follow their growth curve. All babies and kids are different, you can't expect them to all gain the same and weigh roughly the same. When ds1 was gaining slowly he only had to look at us(his parents) to see that he wasn't going to ever be a big baby/kid. He did however have us come monthly for weight checks just to make sure he was actually following his curve. This lo is growing so differently than his brother. I bought some 12-18mo clothes on clearance today and I think the 3 yr old could probably wear them.
My lo has cradle cap so I bought some Mustela shampoo but I couldn't find our soft bristle baby hairbrush so I used my Revlon face brush(with a new head). Lo just got a nice scalp massage! He loved it!
I got my supplemental disability insurance payment today.. My HR rep said it wouldn't be much, but would pay for some diapers. It's a LOT more than diapers. I don't know if I cash it or call the insurance company to see if there was a mistake..

k3am that's a tough call. Maybe follow up with the hr rep? Maybe they didn't know exactly how much it would be and said that so you wouldn't be counting on too much.
snoris or anyone... Can you send me the form you use to track things like diapers, meals, etc at daycare? My sister's daycare opened today and she hadn't thought of this but I love it!
I'm still working on mine but I found a billion samples on Pinterest when I typed "daycare daily report". I'm mobile or else I'd send some links.
teraiin I've never heard of a pedi so specific about your feeding. Have you tried a LC's opinion? My guess is they wouldn't be so rigid & your doc may be cool to let you work with one? I would be stressed out. And I'm side eyeing your doc a bit bc I'm not so sure about all their recommendations. But. What do I know?
Good news: I have a daycare interview Thursday!!
Bad news: we have a crap ton of work to do to get ready!!
Question: has anyone else had a crazy fussy week around 8W? Baby I is usually very chill but this week he is only happy when he's in constant physical contact with me. Thank God MH is cool with setting up the daycare himself and me barking orders from the sidelines. And the Moby. We heart the Moby. Anyway, I get this is growth spurt/leap time but I thought they only lasted 24-48hours!!
Other good news: baby I graduated from chiropractic since he's all aligned and loose now, he graduated from LC since he's nursing like a champ now, AND he gained 11oz in 9 days while EBF. Thank God!! Let me say we worked really hard for this so I'm not holding back my pride. Woohooooo!
Just got the word that we leave 6:30 on Wednesday. I guess DSs newer early wake up time will come in handy. I should be able to nurse right before we leave and he will hopefully sleep on the way
