Normal weight gain at this age is 20-30g per day. The percentiles mean nothing. Babies take 3-4 months to find their percentile. Percentile at birth is related to in utero conditions. Then they are born and their genetics take over. C was born at 93rd and now is hovering around 25th. It sounds like both of your babies are doing great.
And 4 oz per feed at every feed is crazy. Babies don't eat like that. They will take 6 oz at one and 2 at another.

I don't think DS is allergic to dairy. I cut it out for about 3 weeks and then I've had it here and there in tiny amounts with no noticeable changes. With DD even a small amount and she would have a rough a day or two after. I think he's probably just sensitive to it so I'm going to avoid it as much as possible but not stress if I really want it.
And this kid loves baths. Smiles the whole time. God I love him.

teraiin I also think your dr needs a side eye! So weird that he demands at least 4 oz a feeding. Does he expect you to do weighted feeds every feeding?!

I must not be describing my doctor in a very good light guys. LOL I like him a lot. He isn't being forceful or demanding, he's making suggestions probably in part due to my apprehension and anxiety about slow weight gain. Aka. Here's something I could try just to ensure he's getting roughly th ounces he should be getting in a day.He feels that there is no need to supplement and believes DS to be a slow weight gainer because he's more of a bean pole.
sorry for making you all side eye him LOL his ears are probably burning
(Although I admit his suggestion of 3 3oz pumped bottles a day just to make sure DS was getting enough was a bit of an overkill lol)
As I sit here after work drinking a glass of wine I just thought "is this wine keeping me fat?!?!" I almost googled how many calories are in a glass of Pinot Grigio, but then I decided to give no fucks instead.

Having a glass of wine right now...much needed after a rough weekend spent with my parents visiting. I'll just say I can't believe I ever considered my mom's offer for her to babysit L when I return to work. And I am so jealous of those who have normal sane parents!!
My plan today was to put L down for naps during the day in her PnP (to start transitioning out of the RnP). But ...she was super overstimulated (from the weekend with my family visiting I think) and wasn't sleeping well during the naps when I put her in the PnP. Which meant she was super fussy most of the day. I needed her to sleep better! So back in the RnP she went for this current nap. And she's out! ...oh well, hopefully we'll have better luck another day!

Sometimes I think it's okay to cut our losses. maybe next time it'll be better.
I don't really have a consistent nap system in terms of location. Sometimes he naps in the pnp, sometimes the rnp, sometimes on me... Sometimes on me with a transition to somewhere else... LOL I'm hoping to get a better system soonish.

Sometimes everyone just needs sleep! Sorry for the cruddy weekend with your parents.

Happy birthday @led!
I like you, your posts always make me laugh. That is all.
Are any of you guys in a mommy/play group? Id like to get into on locally but idk how to find one or go about it
You could see if your school district offers early learning classes. They are called ECFE (early childhood family education) classes here in MN. It's a parent/child class for the first half and then parent education for the second. It is a great way to meet families with children the same age.

I go to one at the YMCA. In my old town, they had mommy groups run by the home health nurses. Your church or hospital or community centre might have some too.

With DD, I did a meetup group in our area for parents. All of our parent friends now are from that group. I haven't bothered with this kid. He can be friends with the siblings of DDs friends.

My sister teaches classes like these and the parents become good friends with each other!

Meetup dot com. I joined a couple but I've been too busy to actually go to any events. Try 2016 (your city/area) Babies to search for one. Don't give up if you go to one and don't click with people. In our old city, I joined one for working moms but the group that started it had older kids in activities and wasn't very active so it never really got going again with the younger moms group. My other group was super active, but didn't really start until our babies were about a year old, and I couldn't attend every activity but they had a wide variety of family, weekend, weekday, moms night out, etc. and I became great friends with everyone in it.
I don't know if I posted this in another random. I'm feeling really exhausted and sleep deprived.
It is amazing how buoyant babies are! G has been taking a bath with his older brother in my mom's giant spa tub and I barely have to hold his head because his whole body floats. He loves it, too. I guess that's how those baby neck ring bath things work.
