My girls bedtime snuggled turned into fits of giggles over touching eyes. I am pretty sure they are breaking every bedtime rule in there but they are laughing so hard. So torn over enforcing the rules right now.
I'm having a lot of painful cramps this evening. I've had cramps for weeks, but these hurt pretty bad. I'm having a few contractions, but those don't really hurt. I'm going to take a bath in a little bit to see if it helps. Hopefully they don't keep me up tonight, I'm so tired.
The family drama continues... I have a ridiculous and strained relationship with my dad. Apparently he asked my sister to ask me about him being able to come to my room during labor instead of asking me himself. I'm sure his feelings are hurt, but I'm so over it! I did talk my sister into giving us a week as a family before she comes to stay with us, so that's good at least.

No one comes into my room during labor. I don't care if your the Pope and there to bless my child as she arrives. Stay the F out! Tell your sister to tell dad "get over it, or put on his big girl panties and get over it" which ever works best for him.

Just a thought - do you know if it is possible to tell the nurses that no one is allowed to visit? Because I know my dad will come anyway, and I would love to see him banished by the nurses. (Although DH would sure love the honor of kicking him out if the need arises!)

I'm sure the policy changes slightly from hospital to hospital, but I seriously doubt they will let any one in you don't want there. I would just tell them who you want in and that everyone else is kept out. I'm sure it happens everyday.

The nurses usually love keeping people out of your room!
bocaburger, I ordered one of these nursing tanks from ON and I like it. The material breath well and its super soft. It does run big, I got a small and can wear it now over my belly, but I will order a few xs for PP. [/quote]

Most L&D areas are secure they will only let people in with your permission.

I'd seriously see if they can stay in a hotel. Having visitors 24/7 a week after delivery sucks.
Re visitors: only people with passes were allowed my mom and my husband. My husband was not allowed to stay overnight during my cervidil or overnight the night she was born (7pm born) and threatened to kick him out if he stayed late. It was crazy!!!

Yes! My in-laws camped out in the waiting room against our wishes. The nurses were aware of the situation and so the ILs weren't permitted onto the secure ward until I was in recovery.

hannahbear I'm sorry about the low fluid levels but so glad you got checked out and are being monitored appropriately. FX for good news at your next appointment!
