I'm up too my Dr told me this medication makes some people drowsy but some people restless so I'd have to test it out and see if I should take it in the morning or at night. I most definitely should not have taken it at night. I've been tossing and turning all night and then when DD woke up at 4 am I had to get her back down and haven't been able to fall back asleep. And my alarm goes off in 30 min so there's no point in trying anymore. It's gonna be a long day.
Sorry for the lack of sleep ladies. This last stretch is hard.
I slept ok last night, but the previous nights not so much. Nap may be the word today anyway.
I am started to do a bit more around the house again now that i came closer to the finish line and feel safer if they come early. Not that i can do much. I just cleaned the dead flowers from my flower boxes and that tired me out. But still its a start from doing nothing for weeks i suppose. I will rest some and then some ironing.

Good morning. I seem to sleep fine for the first half of the night and then I'm awake off and on for the last portion. I seriously think I just toss and turn for a good two hours before my alarm goes off (at 5:40...)

I am hot. I have been up with contractions since just before 4. I am bouncing away on my ball but I doubt these will amount to anything more than lost sleep
Good morning everyone, add me to the no sleep club!
Last week I had an OB appointment and told her I was feeling crappy so they did a CBC and found out Thursday that my iron was low, and they wanted me to come back Friday. So I go back Friday and not only is my iron low but also my platelet count. I'm like "okay, no big deal" they do another CBC and send me home telling me to take iron supplements and to call back Monday for the results.
So I call back yesterday and my numbers dropped further so now I have to see a hematologist Wednesday. I asked the OB why this happened and is it affecting me or my baby, she said it just happens, baby is fine, but if my platelet count is too low I can't have an epidural. Cue panic. But I'm not going to freak out more until I meet with hematology Wednesday.
So after that bit of fun, I go home, MH and I pick up part of the kitchen and put stuff away. We ordered Chinese and then I painted the drawers for the dresser.
Tonight nothing much going on, probably just leftovers and painting, I might pick up and organize the kitchen today too. If I'm feeling up to it, I might wash the 0-3 month clothes tonight too. I hate the smell of Dreft though!
Omg youdontsay that made my stomach drop. I have been anaemic most of my life and have never heard that! I guess you'll have to pound iron. If you eat red meat you should probably demand steak dinners until delivery :-p

It's funny because I was anemic during my puberty years and after I would get my period, so it makes sense of course it would happen now! I'm definitely eating a lot more red meat now but it's not my favorite thing in the world.
My mom was anemic when she was pregnant with me and they told her she should just eat liver once a week. No thanks.
Morning ladies! I slept "ok" last night but as go time nears, it is getting more difficult to sleep well - especially with having to get up a million times to pee. I wore my CTS brace last night and not sure if it helped. Around 3am, I found it under MH - lol! - which means at some point I was probably so hot, I took it off. Will keep wearing a few more nights to see.
We have part I of a II part series for a birthing & labor class tonight. This is the class I mentioned back in June MH was interested in taking and today and next wk were the only sessions we could get since they fill up so quickly. Hopefully LO will still be baking until after we attend part II next week! Maybe we will pick up some Chinese afterwards for dinner tonight youdontsay!

hannahbear, youdontsay - sorry for the scares but glad you are both being monitored!
I think construction on the neighbor's addition is starting before 6 every day. I get that it is freaking hot, but it is waking us up. We have a noise ordinance and it needs to stop. We need sleep over here.
BTW - Have any of you ladies heard of silent contractions? Actually having active labor contractions but not being able to feel them until it's "really" go time? I'm not sure how I stumbled upon a few articles about it last night but it was a fascinating read yet kid of scary b/c some ladies almost didn't make it to the hospital in time! What I saw that seemed to be a common denominator w/ these ladies is that most seemed to have had a tightening sensation around their belly that came and went. (And these ladies did eventually feel something but it was all under an hour before they delivered). I've started feeling those a few days ago but according to the NST I had this past Friday, I haven't had any contractions yet.

This scares me bc the 'real' contractions I had with the boys really didn't feel different from the false labor contractions. I hate the adage that 'you will know' bc I really didn't KNOW I was in active labor until the MWs told me. And the contractions were different with both.
H is going to work from home and wait for the AC repair people so I don't have to sit around in the hot house. I adore that man. Going to go for a nice long walk now to try to keep these cramps going (plus it's cooler outside than in)
Morning, everyone. Sorry for the pregsomnia. It's here too. I keep waking up every two hours or so. My CTS is horribly bad, I'm going to have to dig out wrist braces today or just go buy new ones if I can't find them.
38 weeks today. C/S is set for 39w3d. This is so surreal.
Does anyone's baby go crazy during contractions? The last few nights, I've actually thought I was having "real" contractions because they started in my back. Then baby starts freaking out in there and it's really her movements that make it painful. Wish I knew what was going on!

Hope they can fix it soon!!!! And have a fabulous walk!

Very Scary! I don't feel like I would really know. I'm still not clear if I've actually had BH. :S

YESSSSSS!!! It was freaking me out too while I was reading about it! Some of the ladies were saying how they honestly didn't know they were in active labor until they were given a NST!

Mine does. She is like, "HEY stop squeezing me!" And she stretches against the contraction which then seems to make the tightening intensify. So what I am having is low back pain, wraps around to cramp in lower pelvis, baby gets ticked off and wiggles, uterus tightens and squeezes. The pain goes in a wave but ends before the tightening does, which is what's throwing me off.
Quick update!!! I am off to the hospital. I felt wetter then usual a while ago and tested my ph and well it was the right colour for amniotic fluid. But who knows. It could be pee or blood. But because i am early i have to go to a hospital a hour away, the one i always go to has no room for nicu babies! Anyway i am on the way now. We will see what happens.

Sounds exactly the same. I'm curious to see if this ever goes anywhere.
