Morning everyone. Sorry for all of the insomnia and discomfort! Our fridge and freezer failed last night. I thought it would be a good idea to finish up all of our ice cream and paid for it with nausea all night. Whatever, at least my java chip didn't go to waste.
Quick update!!! I am off to the hospital. I felt wetter then usual a while ago and tested my ph and well it was the right colour for amniotic fluid. But who knows. It could be pee or blood. But because i am early i have to go to a hospital a hour away, the one i always go to has no room for nicu babies! Anyway i am on the way now. We will see what happens.
Omigosh!!! Hope all is well and keep us posted!!!! (See what ironing two shirts can do?!)

Oh no! (and java chip sounds heavenly!) Will you be appliance shopping today?

Good luck and excellent labor&delivery vibes, hollyberry!
I really thought I was in early labor last night. I also lost my mucus plug yesterday. But everything slowed down when I went to bed. So the girls and I are going out on a walk to see if anything picks back up. Really hoping something starts moving!

Morning, everyone. Sorry for the pregsomnia. It's here too. I keep waking up every two hours or so. My CTS is horribly bad, I'm going to have to dig out wrist braces today or just go buy new ones if I can't find them.
38 weeks today. C/S is set for 39w3d. This is so surreal.
Oh my gosh are we about to have baby boom??
This little girl will be here a week from Friday, if not sooner. Sounds like a few others are about to head out too.

We are renting, so this is on our landlords. They did bring us a mini fridge to hold us over, but that won't work long as the toddler already thinks it's a great toy and his personal refrigerator.

Good morning A16! We're so busy already :-)
Well, I'm back in the office this week after spending W-F last week WFH. I've actually felt pretty good these last few days so I figured I should be here. Last night I was SO hopeful I was going into labor. I had started having some very mild BH on my drive home from work, and timed them at about 7 minutes apart for an hour. I was busy when I got home cleaning/making dinner, etc. so I didn't really think about it, but when I started watching The Bachelorette at 8 I began timing them again. They were definitely stronger than they've ever been before (often I can only tell I'm definitely having one by pressing on my stomach to see if it's squishy or hard, but last night I could feel my stomach tighten and my lower back tense up too). I timed them at approximately 8 minutes apart for 2 hours, and then fell asleep. Every time I woke up to pee, I was still having them, but they never got any stronger than that and never got painful. They were gone this morning :-(
I did start having the "intense pelvic pressure" while walking the pup with DH yesterday evening. ZOMG. That is NOT fun. Every few minutes DH would realize I wasn't next to him anymore - I kept having to stop and wait for that awful feeling to pass. Ugh. But hey, if that means LO's head is way down and getting me to dilate more, I'm all for it!
Seriously though, I'm ready for a baby boom over here!

I bet your DS is loving an appliance that's his size! Hope they can find a replacement for you all soon - esp in this heat!
I went to the supermarket again today. I'm there way too much. I'm pretty sure that'll be the place my water breaks.
My best friend keeps telling me that I need to enjoy this pregnancy. No. No, i do not. I'm exhausted, I'm in a ton of pain, I'm miserable, I just want this little munchkin out now.
We make my SD put her phone downstairs at night now. Guess who was wandering around (loudly) at 12:26am.... I already can't sleep and now I've got her waking me up too. You don't need to be checking your phone after midnight. You're 12. Go the fuck to sleep.
Does anyone's baby go crazy during contractions? The last few nights, I've actually thought I was having "real" contractions because they started in my back. Then baby starts freaking out in there and it's really her movements that make it painful. Wish I knew what was going on!
YES. Last night I had some very intense Braxton Hicks that didn't hurt (just strong tightening, hard to breathe) and the baby rammed against them. THAT hurt.
The whole thing scared the bejeesus out of me. I just didn't like how weird the whole thing was. Real labor would have scared me less. It lasted well into the night.
Things are calmer this morning. Too calm. I need to get some coffee in me so this little person perks up.

I ended up laying awake from 4-6am last night. I am so groggy now.
youdontsay How low are your platelets? I also have anemia and low platelets but they said I can get an epidural as long as my platelets stay over 70. I think it's pretty rare to get that low without an underlying condition.
hollyberry WOW good luck! dc2london I hope the contractions are making progress!
I can't believe we are getting so close to meeting our babies!!!
bocaburger on Thursday they were 124, Friday they dropped to 112. So I'm hoping hematology will do another CBC tomorrow to see what the number is at now
BTW - Have any of you ladies heard of silent contractions? Actually having active labor contractions but not being able to feel them until it's "really" go time? I'm not sure how I stumbled upon a few articles about it last night but it was a fascinating read yet kid of scary b/c some ladies almost didn't make it to the hospital in time! What I saw that seemed to be a common denominator w/ these ladies is that most seemed to have had a tightening sensation around their belly that came and went. (And these ladies did eventually feel something but it was all under an hour before they delivered). I've started feeling those a few days ago but according to the NST I had this past Friday, I haven't had any contractions yet.
Yes. I have a friend who has no idea she is in labor until transition. She hasn't had a car baby (with 4 kids) only due to careful monitoring.
Her pregnancies and other fertility issues are extreme, so she is grateful for very easy labors.
I really think it is super rare and would not add it to a list of worries.

Yay for an upcoming baby boom!! I'm so excited to start seeing all the squishes!
I had an OB appointment this morning. Everything looked good and my BP is good. I somehow managed to gain 3 pounds since last week, which is crazy to me. I also had the lovely GBS swab and they did both front and back doors. She did not do a cervical check. She said if I wasn't having any labor signs there was no reason do do it at this point. I get to have an ultrasound next Monday (37 weeks) to check on baby girl's position. Although last week Dr. said she was head down, this week midwife I saw was not so sure and wants to double check. Whatever, I'm excited to be able to see her again since they typically don't do scans at this point.

Wow there were so many posts here this morning I thought maybe someone did have baby news already today! Sounds like many of us are in the same boat with the contractions- they wake me about every 45 minutes, being VERY tight. But then during the day, they are more spread out.
I have 38w checkup today and H says "I hope you're like 7cm!" I was like babe, if I were, I'd know it and be in a lot of pain! He's so funny, he's like "maybe you are in a lot of pain and are just a champ?" hahaha. Nope, nice try.

Mine always go insane during BHs, but are quiet during real labor (but what baby likes 3-7 minute real contractions?).

My numbers were similar and my MFM was not particularly concerned. I have to get them rechecked soon though.
