This is silly. I am having tightening for 90 sec-2 min every 5 minutes but back pain/cramping every 8. I need an adult. I wish I could just get checked.
I'm still lost on the idea of timeable, regular Braxton Hicks. Are mine weird? They're just ...constant. Body hates my bladder, my intestines, walking, eating half a bite too much, etc. Any of those issues around? Okay, rock hard game on until I feel like stopping. Oh, and your kid hates it so we'll make sure he kicks super hard.

Waaah.
The constant tightening is normal, so are timeable ones. Both happen.

I'm very uncomfortable with on and off cramps and contractions too. I wish I could get checked without going into L&D too. Blah. This part really sucks.
joy My BH have been timeable too. I don't understand any of it. Any article about contractions makes it seem so simple, but to me it's just confusing.
So, the wife of a guy I work with just had a baby. Last week, he spent the night in Labor and Delivery with her due to false labor. I was like "I have sheets and sheets that explain the difference between false labor and real labor. Did she not get those?"
My coworker (who has two kids) laughed and said "Oh god - it's not cut and dry. I promise."
These stories are so helpful. The information sheets make it all seem so simple. LIARS. ALL LIARS.

There needs to be something cut and dry about this mess. Seriously.
So I finally got to ask about the golden hour for a c/s at our hospital yesterday. The OB said that they are not doing it at this hospital because places that do have so much trouble with maintaining sterility. I'm kinda disappointed. She did say that they would do delayed cord clamping if we requested it, though.
*Edit: I mean, I'm all for maintaining sterility, so I get it. I just had gotten my hopes up that I could hold her immediately.
Definitely keep me posted if your little lady decides to make an early appearance
Will do, agpjt413! How are things looking for you? Are you feeling like it's going to be early?
Right now I honestly don't know lol! I'm not feeling contractions but the belly tightening feeling is happening throughout the day. And based on my results from last week's NST (zero contractions & zero dilation), I'm hoping this baby will stay baking until at least Aug I'm getting so excited for this board's soon to be baby boom!

hannahbear , youdontsay - sorry for the scares but glad you are both being monitored!
I think construction on the neighbor's addition is starting before 6 every day. I get that it is freaking hot, but it is waking us up. We have a noise ordinance and it needs to stop. We need sleep over here.
I just wanna commiserate over here, only it is a city demo/rebuild project on some street corners and traffic lights... they work overnights, we live on the main road between two of said corners, and its a three month project they are mayyyyybe a month into. So much for noise ordinances when the effing city ignores them. I think its more they don't want to deal with traffic during the day, but ffs other cities do that and just haul butt to get this kind of crap finished faster.
Its part of why I run both our wall AC unit and my fan every night, even if I don't think I need both... the loud white noise keeps DD asleep and probably helps me too. Still.... makes me mad. Imma have a brand new baby before they're done!
