I am awake and should not be. The dog was loud all night which gave me a pretty restless sleep. I just kicked her out of the room but I can hear her in the living room. I'm hoping to be able to shut my eyes for a little while longer.

Morning. I didn't sleep well again. I am tired, physically and emotionally. We took a sample of dog's pee to the vet last night (we were worried she had a uti due to the number of accidents she's had over the last two days). The technician was worried about all the "stuff" in her urine so we are taking her to the vet for blood tests and X-rays. It could be a number of things but among them are kidney or liver disease. Between this and the anxiety of waiting for my MaterniT21 results, I am drained and not optimistic about anything. Sorry to be such a downer...

heybulldog56, everything crossed for good results for you and your dog! Hang in there girl.
meeggaannw, sorry your dog kept you awake. That's awful.
Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm hoping for another quiet day at work. I've been getting up to pee 2-3 times a night, and seeing that I only get about 7 hours of sleep it doesn't make it very restful. Between the dog moving around, DD coming into our room, and getting up to pee, I feel like I barely sleep by the time morning rolls around.

PSA - LovesMeSomeCake 's question on nursing bras yesterday made me think of this. Ladies who plan to breastfeed - you may want to avoid underwire bras when your milk comes in. The pressure the wire puts against your boobies can lead to plugged ducts. Trust me, you want to do everything you can to avoid that. from kellymom's website about risk factors for poor milk drainage: "Look for anything that results in consistent pressure on the breast tissue — this can block milk flow and lead to plugged ducts. See if you can associate any of the following things with the location of the plug(s): Are you sleeping on one side or on your stomach a lot? Do you carry a heavy purse or bag on one side? Are you carrying the baby in a front carrier or sling? Do you wear an underwire bra that presses in one area? Are you wearing any type of bra that does not fit well? Do you wear a sleep bra that stays pushed up or to the side for much of the time at night? Are you wearing constrictive clothes?"

Today should be a decent day. I feel good because I went to the gym after work yesterday, and am aiming to go again today too. I just needed to break that lazy cycle.
My workload today (as of right now!) seems manageable, I'm going to BWW for lunch, and I made tonight's dinner last night, so there shouldn't be any rushing around tonight.
On the not so lovely side, I had a bad dream about DD (almost 2 years old) last night. Ugh. Not fun.
Yes judyblume14! Good reminder. I only wore underwires until I had DD and then after I switched to nursing bras I never went back. Now I buy the comfiest/most supportive non-underwires I can find. I don't regret it at all.
((hugs)) heybulldog56. I really hope the universe throws you a bone soon. I'm sorry for all the testing and waiting. Hope your dog ends up being alright!
Add me to the super crappy sleeper list meeggaannw, and summergirl1211. In the vacation house we're in, DD is sharing a room with us, so I feel like the crappy sleep I was getting with DH is even worse now that DD is there too. DH does not know how to tip-toe, so every time he gets up to go pee, or snores just a bit too loud, DD hears him and pops up in her travel crib to check out what's going on. Then cue the crying for him/me to pick her up and come sleep with us. I'm back at work today through Thursday, and I'm embarrassed at how excited I am to have my own bed to myself for 2 nights while DH and DD are away with his family.

I've been up since 5:30 for a work call that I was able to take from home but now I'm in the office. Just got an email that the health coverage I'm enrolled in will be discontinued next year and there are three lesser plans to choose from. I remember comparing plans two years ago during open enrollment and at that time my OB only accept the plan I'm currently enrolled in. Definitely not looking forward to figuring out this problem

heybulldog56, I hope you get some good news for you and your dog soon! judyblume14, I forgot about that website, I remember looking at it last time. I definitely remember the info about the underwire too.
I have not had a great start to today. I had RLP last night and into this morning, so bad I had move a lot slower than normal. I also had some back pain on my right side, right in the small of my back. Luckily I am sitting at my desk for awhile with my feet up on an empty box. I am hoping I feel well enough for a prenatal yoga class I want to take. I also get to look today for hotels for mini vacation. Yay.

peaseblossom55, i hope you make it to yoga. I went on Saturday for the first time since finding out I was pregnant (my kiddo's swim lesson time is now during my yoga class. boo hoo). I felt really good afterwards!
OH MY GOD. I did this for DD's 2-week check up as a new born. My h had just gone back to work, it was my fist time driving after delivery, first time driving with a baby in the car. I was in a fog. It took me FOREVER to get out of the house. It was a PITA to carry the bucket seat through the parking garage to the other side of the hospital's campus, etc. And when I walked in feeling like I had tackled the world... I found out the appointment was the next day and I'd have to do it all over again. I cried and cried and cried the whole way home and made my H take off work the next day to help.
We had a laugh about it thankfully. And at least no one at work cares that I'm going to be late THREE days this week since I left my computer at home yesterday.

I signed up for the prenatal yoga. I saw my hospital offer a class for multiples, but not very often, so if we want to do one, it's either mid December or end of August. I feel like neither work, too soon or too late.
More (hugs) for you heybulldog56 . I'm set off easily lately too. Damn pregnancy hormones.
We learned a few weeks ago that our DDs pediatrician is leaving the practice and joining a group closer to her home. We LOVED DDs pedi. She's been with us since day 1 and it's so hard to say goodbye. I wrote her a thank you note the other day with a recent pic of DD inside and had to stop to bawl my eyes out. Yep... I'm unstable.
Liam woke up hotter than ever at 6 am we gave him Advil, stripped him down and I sleep nursed him for another two hours. Now he's up and I force fed him so I could force feed him his meds, which obviously he hates with all the fire of a thousand suns. Currently I'm sitting on the floor with him while he eats Cheerios and comes and snuggles me periodically pray that today is better than yesterday ok? Yesterday was loooong.
