So tired. So very tired. And I wish I could go swimming. Idk how long I'm supposed to wait but I am also not feeling a swimsuit. Has anyone used care . com? I need to find a babysitter and I don't know anyone to ask recommendations from
We've had good luck with it in our area. We received a ton of responses and we're able to find a reliable babysitter after some interviews.
thelorax thanks for the recommendation. I signed up and found some promising profiles.
hannahbear hugs! I know it is different for everyone but for all my vaginal births I feel 100x better the moment they are born. Yes there are aches and pains but not having a 7+lb baby in your tummy makes things so much easier. Plus I instantly could breathe and eat like normal. There are always narcotics and the blessed advil to take to help. If postpartum were to bad, all of us would be only children

lennonkdc, we had the same recall on my car. The driver airbag was recalled early, so we got that fixed awhile ago, then got the letter about the passenger one about a month ago. Luckily Honda took care of it a week later. When dh called he made sure that if it's just that no one is in the passenger seat, it really isn't a problem (ds1 is behind the passenger seat). If there's no weight on the front seat, it shouldn't deploy in an accident. Obviously, freak things can occur and things may not work correctly. Hopefully they can take care of it soon. Some companies are also paying for rentals while you wait for the parts - you could see if that's an option.
We had DD3's newborn pictures this morning. It's earlier than I would have liked to do them, but it's what worked with our schedules. I'm anxious to see pictures of all the girls together.
hannahbear, obviously everyone is different, but with all 3 I have felt better postpartum than pregnant. The postpartum care isn't fun, but the snugly baby really does make up for a lot of the discomfort!
joy hypothyroidism, unknown reasons. I haven't seen an endo, my PCP has just been treating me. Maybe I should schedule an appt? My PCP never mentioned that I should go.
T3 is "<15". Range says 24-39. My T4 is 11.6. Range says 4.5-12.
TSH is 2.18. Range is .45-4.5. So I'm right in the middle there!
Oh. Yeah, I'd go see an endocrinologist with those results. Have you ever have that pattern in your test results before?
This is reaaaaally suggestive that you have a T4 to T3 conversion problem. T4 is converted to T3 via an enzyme. T3 is the actual energy molecule for the body while T4 is its precursor. T3 is used up almost as fast as it's made. If that enzyme can't work, then you'll have a ton of T4 floating around, almost no T3, and you'll be feeling lousy because you have no T3/energy.
Synthroid is T4. You take that because it 1. hangs around in the body much longer, 2. is the reporter to the brain for TSH, and 3. is normally easily converted in your body to T3. Your body is failing at that right this moment. So, your TSH is normal, your T4 is high, but your T3 is suuuuuuuuper low.
I could explain this far more straight forwardly if you want. I feel like I'm all over the place.
redhead610, that makes me feel a lot better. I'll call the dealer Monday and see what they say. A rental would be ideal given the fact that we'll need to use this car to get me to (and all of us home from) the hospital
Doc said she doesn't want to mess with my dosage now. An adjustment might make me feel worse. She said we'll wait and reevaluate after I have the baby.
She also said "I'd just love to see you go into labor this coming week or the next"
I've been kind of freaking out about birth, you guys. Like - I'm already so uncomfortable and in pain (my pelvis pain is serious right now) - I've been telling myself "well, once you give birth it will get better." But that's not right either. It's going to get way worse before I feel better (I mean, everyone talks about tears or just general swelling and all the padsicles and tucks - or recovery from a csec) and that makes me feel so overwhelmed
Honestly, you might be fine. Knock wood, my recoveries so far have been a breeze. I was up walking around shortky after DS2 was born like it was nothing. Have I extolled the virtue of EPO to reduce or avoid tearing?
Doc appt over. It sucks getting to the weekly appt stage. I have a really friggin strange appointment time next week. I made sure to book the rest of the month, though. Now I just have to figure out babysitting at 5pm next Thursday. Ick.
Baby's hb was going nuts, I almost had to stick around for an NST, but we think she was just squirmy right then. Doc listened again a little bit later and it was back around 150, so we were good to go. And she seems to be head down, though I could definitely do without the smushing of my uterus to discover this fact.
Labor vibes, ya'll. Labor for you, labor for you, labor for everyone! (Why I am channeling Oprah, I dunno.)
I don't feel a lot of pain necessarily, but I feel a slightly painful/awkward pressure in my private area today that I didn't have before. Wonder if that is weird, but not even quite sure how to word what I'm feeling to ask the doctor...

That's what my contractions always feel like at this stage. The BH are just the pressure, the real guys are accompanied with back pain
I'm another lucky one who had an easy recovery. I had stitches and a really long labor, but once the swelling went down I felt pretty good. We actually went on a 4-5 mile hike when DD was 12 days old. I have friends who had a much longer recoveries which required surgeries, but it might be pretty easy!

It's kind of a dull pain, instead of a fleeting sharp pain like lightning crotch, which I've never had. I have lower back pain 24/7 now. It's very confusing knowing what to expect in case labor comes before induction day since I was induced with DD and went on epidural pretty quickly so I wasn't moving around while feeling contractions. BH are also just pressure for me.
I'm glad that the epidural is going well and hoping that you aren't in labor for too long!

blueinred I don't start the day with a waddle but after being on my feet all day I'm waddling by the end.
lennonkdc hugs. That's a lot to juggle. It all works out, but will be an adjustment. You'll learn to let something's go (super clean house) to make room for the things you can't let go. And it'll take DH a little longer to adjust. My DH finally stepped up and felt more comfortable with child care/house hold duties after I went back to work.
