IDK how you can manage deep cleaning with a newborn lol twocents6708... new mommy confession: I can really only get something done if someone else is on baby duty... well, technically I is sleeping now so I COULD be cleaning. I'm eating ice cream and TCF'ing instead!
birkmmm, I can't believe how much you are traveling! Sounds exhausting and crazy and exciting and fun all at the same time haha
I just did some grocery shopping and mommy baby yoga today. My doula was at class today to help out and she hasn't seen I since he was 2 weeks old. It was really nice to catch up!
Daddy was on baby duty so I did it in between feedings! And he helped a tiny bit too. DD even had done chores. She is great at using the swiffer and spraying the bathrooms down (with vinegar cleaner). So it was actually a family event

I have frantically cleaned most of the day. I think it is a bit of anxiety related to going back to work. And the reality that I won't have as much time to clean so I better do the deep stuff today while I can. I am seriously thinking about how to work a housekeeper into the budget, for my sanity.
I was this way before I went back to work last week. We decided to bite the bullet and have someone come in once every 2 weeks just for a bathroom clean and kitchen wipe down. I've been putting it off because of the cost, and the thought that I should be able to do it myself. I'm so glad we decided to do it, and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be!

I wish H would let me kite some one to bleach out our bathrooms every other week - I'm jealous
After cheering up long enough to go swim mh is in s super bad mood again. I asked for a hug good night while he stormed off to bed and he was like "you weren't acting like you wanted one!" Whatever dude lol apparently he Argued with his dad earlier today.

We had our big move yesterday. It went pretty smoothly, but you never realize how much crap you have! We're loving the new place and DS loves having all the extra room to run around. We're going to try to do some painting tomorrow if we can find someone to watch the kids for a while!

Aww MH is taking a bath in the jacuzzi tub haha. He deserves it. Today he dug 21 huge holes in our yard and set all but 8 of the fence posts in concrete. We are expecting storms the next few days so he gets a built in break.

And now Netflix is having issues on the computer
What a jerk.
Yeah. I mean I know i do tend to complain about him more than I'd like, but he really is great most of the time. Unfortunately when he's a jerk he's a big one.

DS has been having a ton of wake ups tonight. He also usually goes back down super easy. Except this most recent wake up... He currently won't let me put him down. Come on kid please sleep. At best I only have like two hours until you're up for the day....
DD just woke for the first time tonight (4:30) and I'm pretty sure she is only awake because I accidentally woke her checking to make sure she was alive!
I'm having issues with her leaking through her diapers over night and on to her sheets. I have tried pampers and huggies. I guess I will just have to change the diaper once. Any other ideas?

westiemom I second the pampers dry diapers and you can always go one size up too! This is what we've always done with DS and haven't really had any problems. I plan to do this with DD too once we run into those issues but haven't needed to yet!

I knew the good sleep was too good to be true but it was nice while it lasted. He was up at 1,2,4, 5:30 and up for the day at 6:30. I am going to be a zombie at work if he keeps this up through the week.
Another rough night here, but J is in the middle of a leap so I hope this phase ends soon. DH is taking him to my in-laws today so I can food shop and meal prep. I go back to work part-time this week and I'm on day 2 of WW. All I want is pizza and comfort food.

We received a fisher price sit me up as a shower gift and we're sort of confused about when to use it lol
We feel like DS doesnt have good enough head control yet. But part of us worry about "missing" the time to use it.
Any of you guys have/use one? When did you start? Either way it's not going to be something he's in too much particularly in one sitting.
I don't think your losing time. If I remember correctly we started using the Bumbo with DD1 around 4 months. She only started working on sitting alone around 5 months and mastered sitting without falling by 6 months. She was always average on milestone timing. I put LO in the Bumbo out of curiosity yesterday and she isn't ready yet. We have decent head control right now.

I feel like we're life twins right now.
Yeah and I was thinking about starting. Whole 30 this week but then I thought better of it with work stress. You are braver than me!

Thanks! As a ftm I'm not really too sure about some of this stuff.
Hey teraiin. Some thoughts about tummy time. I know you're waiting for your pillow but if you have a boppy that works as well. Lo has no problem when I use the boppy, but will not lift his head without. He also doesn't really use his arms so I push them closer to his body and help him lift his shoulders up, once he's up he can hold himself.
