longhornwino0907, huge hugs for you. I can't even imagine what you're going through with this. I tend to handle a lot of things the way your H is - focus on the positive and put the negative in the past if you can. It's not always the healthiest thing, so hopefully you two can find a balance that works for both of you.

Thank you, everyone We're trying so hard to be gentle with ourselves and each other, but sometimes it just boils over. He definitely is a "throw myself into work and any other distractions I can" type of person, whereas I have learned I have to just be in my grief (or whatever feeling) in order to move through it. I told him I felt like he'd already moved on, and he said there is no moving on from this, ever. There's just learning to live with it and constructing our new normal. I'm still on the "learning to live with it" part while he's on the "constructing a new normal" part. We'll get to the same page eventually. I think it will help immensely once Liv is here and our focus is on her. There will still be sadness, sometimes overwhelming sadness, but we'll at least have a focus.

You will both definitely get to the same page but I think because he isn't carrying your sweet babies it is probably easier to move onto the next step sooner. Thinking of you all! And that nursery is amazing. So beautiful!

swivelchair5 - are you using Post-It brand sticky notes or a knockoff brand? I legit lol'd when I realized the sticker was a post-it note. Pure genius.

It is probably a knockoff. It is from a pad that has little document flags on the other side. Something DH got from a vendor at work. It was the closest sticky note option when DD hit 1 month, and now I need to keep using them until the year is up.

LOL, I answered your question very literally when DD woke up wanting breakfast at 4 am. In the light of day, I realize you probably don't really want to know what brand of sticky notes I use.

But I did deliberately decide not to purchase any month stickers because we have plenty of post-its in the house already. And they were mostly free. And they work just as well.
