I was a little late this morning because I let DS sleep longer than I should have. But he was obviously tired, so I didn't want to wake him up. This is the part of being a working mom that I hate :/
The heat wave has FINALLY lifted it. Last night when the rain stopped, I took DS for a quick walk and it was so breezy and cool. And this morning it was absolutely glorious out. My weather app shows us getting into the mid-60's a few times over the next week. Thank goodness!

Yes! I'm so glad the heat is gone. I actually walked the dog last night and it was so comfortable.
requiressnacks, I don't know if the heat this summer was worst because I'm pregnant or if it's always this hot, but DAMN. I'm so happy it's finally lifted. Bring on fall!

This happened to me on Monday of all days. I let DS sleep late and then when I tried to wake him, he would not budge. I didn't have the heart to shake him any harder than I already was so I just let him sleep (he slept terribly the day/night before). And of course I end up getting in trouble at work since I forgot I had a 9 am deliverable. This is when I remind myself that no one died because I eff up at work so it's all good.
I agree with you ladies on the heat, as well. It's been sooo hot this summer and I'm pretty sure it's not just me. Sometimes when we go for a walk in the evening I'm still sweltering, though - and H is totally comfortable, so IDK.
I'm super happy today that we actually had a bit of good luck - our warranty on my SUV ends at 100K miles and we both thought it ended a while ago. The cost to fix the issues was $2,400, but we only have to pay $100 since we are still under the mileage limit (by only a couple hundred miles!!). Woo hooo!!! Plus my step brother and his wife sent us the sweetest and most unexpected baby gift in the mail yesterday - little outfits and swaddle blankets. So nice of them!

Everybody looks so cute..I have a really cute top on but I am fighting nausea from hell right now and tummy cramps. I am just going to stay with my head on my desk for the next hour or so. When you think oh 1st trimester is gone and you wont have to feel like that again...you get reminded it could happen again.
I will try for a pic later. I have a meeting at 1 I have to be at or I would take my ass home.

Anyone else really unmotivated at work? I don't know if it's because summer, pregnancy or my general dislike of my job, but really - IDGAF about anything going on here.

requiressnacks, me too...... but, today's my last day of work until Tuesday. DH grandmother passed away Friday and so work gives me 3 paid days off for the funeral; since the funeral is Friday and burial is Monday, I'm taking off Thursday/Friday/Monday. I never feel motivated to do anything though. LOL.

Sorry about the funeral, but Yay for a few days off.
I keep hoping I'll come back motivated and refreshed after my vacation. A few of me peers have gotten big promotions lately and I'm feeling a little (LOT) left behind.

+1 to the extreme!!! I'm so over doing anything but lying in bed truly.
I'll have to take a photo later tonight. I keep forgetting in the morning.
Bad news today... My OB is leaving the practice September 15. I'm really torn up about this. My options are to follow her to a different practice and hospital, which are both farther away. Not a huge deal, but inconvenient. The other option is to stay at my current practice and pick a new doctor. Also, I've already paid my global fee for all appointments and delivery at my current, so I have no idea how that works if I decide to move. Do I just lose that money? I'm so upset, and I know I have plenty of time to figure it out, but I just loved my doctor and how convenient the office was, and one of those things now has to change. I have an appointment in two weeks, and they also have an event the day before my appointment to meet all of the doctors at the practice. So for now, I guess I go to the event and then talk with my doctor at the appointment about what my options are. But today, I'm just sad.

Headache - check. Sore throat - check. Really hoping I don't have whatever DS had last week. And he's feeling better -- thanks everyone for the good thoughts yesterday.
Cute bumps! I totally forgot to take a picture today. Maybe I'll take one on Fri pre-anatomy scan.

Also here's my UO because we don't really do a UO thread/I never have one/I'll forget by tomorrow even if someone proposes one: I don't care about the Olympics. Like ever. My husband, on the other hand, LOVES the Olympics. Gonna be a rough few weeks in the beagle household. What say you, ladies?
Olympics- I love watching certain parts like the gymnastics or swimming. But I used to hate when it would interrupt regular broadcasting (with all the other boring sports or hoopla).
legalbeagle, I didn't used to like the Olympics all that much but once I had to watch it as part of my master's program I really enjoy it. I think a lot of athletes are going to have a tough run of it this year in Rio. Venues aren't done or are dangerous and the village is apparently a hot mess.I knew several athletes who went to London where stuff was nice and they had a tough time so I can only imagine how tough Rio will be. The standard issue bed is usually a twin. The average male swimmer is like 6'3'' or something. Almost all of them end up in a hotel rotating who gets to sleep on the real mattress that fits their body. It will be entertaining to see how the tv coverage tries to cover up and hide some of the issues.
Oh, and lest anyone think the Johnson and Johnson ads about supporting Olympic families is BS, it's legit. A teacher from my school, her son swam in London, J&J paid for her whole family to go to London, put them up with a family to stay with, gave them each close to $1k in spending money, got them tickets to all his events and a few other ones, plus a ton of other stuff. She said they did that for any family that wanted to go. Not sure how many people are wanting to go to Rio, but it's nice to know they are well taken care of if they do.

Agreed! It's literally not possible for me to care any less about them.
Everyones bumps look so cute! I agree that this summer seems much hotter than last summer. I spent the morning next to my In Laws pool with my SIL, niece and nephew. Today is our three year wedding anniversary, DH and I are planning on celebrating by bringing our nephew mini golfing.
