Where did you guys read that milk loses its nutrition after being heated? I've never heard that before. That makes no sense for all the people with lipase issues who scald their milk.
Everything I've read said SCALDING (way hotter than you'd feed your child) will loose SOME of the benefits of breastmilk. But since your kid likely isn't getting 100% scalded milk, it's typically NBD.
I've been reading up on it a lot, since that's the boat I'm in.
Ugh we just hit the worse traffic like dead standstill because someone broke down. But we're on our way now! We're heading to VA today and Dh is in a wedding there tomorrow then tomorrow night we will make our 16 hour drive home 😬

mrssqueegy I've just read it online not sure how true it is. ETA: at our daycare this is our policy too I suppose that's where I originally heard it. Once a bottle is heated or drank from we have to throw away what isn't finished (I only do for heated)
We just stopped to get lunch and I went to change ry and there were no changing tables in the bathroom but Dh said there were in the men's restroom ...wth??
birkmmm when we went on vacation last summer to Cape Cod there were rarely changing tables. I was so confused. But apparently some were located in the men's washroom which is pretty dumb if you ask me.

We stopped at a rest area on our trip that didn't have changing tables in either bathroom. We ended up changing them on a picnic table.

Question: Zulily has the BobSweep vacuums on sale today and I'm debating buying one.. Anyone have any input? I have a friend who has a Rumba and LOVES it. I feel a little guilty because I have a super expensive Dyson, but having it be programmable would just be too amazing. Unless it just doesn't work... Anyone have one???
I've used it much longer than that but everyone has to do what they are comfortable with. I am never comfortable wasting milk because I have had supply issues and have major anxiety about dumping milk that I worked so hard for.

I have one, but haven't had time to set it up yet so sadly I am no help.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
I wonder if R hit her 3rd leap early. She won't take naps except on me and she's fussier than normal. Could be a million things, but today she laughed while awake for the first time and it seems likely. I don't know.
DH surprised me with a roomba for Mother's Day, but it was at his office for a while before made it home and we just set it up and tried it out this week. The jury is still out. DH said it cleaned better than he expected. I don't think it was fully charged for the initial first use so it didn't do the whole house. We have a pretty open plan, so everything had to be picked up and it kind of annoyed be that it would come in one room and then go to another room, then come back and do a spot a few inches from where it had been before.
We met G's birthday twin today, by chance, born at the same hospital and everything. I pumped a bottle I didn't use when we were out so I gave it to him when we got home. He drank 1 oz fine, 2 more oz begrudgingly, still had 1 oz left but started crying for the boob. Once he nursed he fell asleep. I only really started my freezer stash since I got back from our trip, but I've managed to pump s little more than I expected, so I think I'll have DH start giving him more bottles before DC starts.

I had three lists of things to do and pack before we left. I felt good about everything and checked it all off. I just realized after getting settled into our hotel room that I forgot DDs blankie. I never even added it to a list.
This might be a really shitty weekend of sleep...and not because of the baby! Heaven help us.

In the NICU we use milk from the previous feeding for the next. If it was warmed but did not come in contact with mouth, we put it in the fridge for next feed.
At home, I put it back in the fridge and have never had an issue.
Today we put an offer in on a lakefront property. It was built in 1920 so it is a tear down but we would use it as a cabin until we could secure the down payment for financing on a custom built home.
Very exciting and scary at the same time because this would be our 3rd mortgage (we also have a rental condo) so we would have to shift some money around and watch our spending a bit. We also know NOTHING about building a house so there is a gamble in that as well.

I'm single parenting tonight because DH went to a Guns N Roses concert will his high school friends. I have no idea what they even sing. Of course DD chooses tonight to fight sleep. She's been an angel for the past month but tonight... Nope!

So I'm mobile 99.9% of the time so I don't remember the trophy orders and such. I see that I am an amethyst gem. Where does that rank in the orders? Most of you are gold trophy status so I feel left out.

Woah oh oh oh, sweet child o' mine... Welcome to the Jungle...lol. DH got home surprisingly early from work today. Later he was like, "Guns N Roses are at NRG tonight! I really wanted to go, but I don't have anyone to go with...or tickets..."

I hope DD settles down for you. DH fell asleep after putting DS1 to bed and DS2 is super fussy tonight, too.
