Ugh. This happened to me a few weeks ago. I took the kids to 3 stores looking for like 7 specific things - I came home with 1 thing on my list and had to spend an hour that night shopping online anyway. Never again! I'm just ordering online from now on.
So annoying!!!! It's not even a crazy list. I mean they literally didn't have pink tissue paper.
...... How do they not have pink tissue paper? At least my craft store list was a little more obscure. I was looking for drapery grommets, grommet tape and a drapery hem gauge. I mean, I was at JoAnn's, and they sell drapery fabric so I figured they'd have the notions too. Silly me!
birdie Did you ever go back to that yoga class? I was planning to but between DS's naps and my kids getting sick, I never made it back!
I'm kind of glad to hear you didn't go back, because I didn't either! I wanted to, but the second class my older brother and nephew were in town and hadn't met S yet, the next class S's grandpa stopped over unannounced so we couldn't leave, and the last one I knew I couldn't make because I had to help out MH with work.
Anyone dealt with constipation in your LO? J is on day 5. He has never gone this long. He's grunting a lot especially at night and might be a little more fussy. Otherwise he seems ok. I mixed some prunes in with oatmeal cereal last night, but he didn't eat enough of it to make a difference. I've read juice is ok for constipation at this age so I may try prune or pear juice next. I think it's a combination of things. His routine changed drastically, he's getting more formula, and I started him on oatmeal cereal though he really doesn't eat much of it yet.

We had this problem when we went on vacation. Heat + routine change + salt water = a baby who can't poop for days. I gave her straight fruit (pears and prunes) like it was her job and gripe water. When she did finally poop, she did it all day for two whole days. If he doesn't poop by the end of today, I would call the pedi and see what they say.
I also would avoid cereals because they can be binding.

DS goes 7-10 days between bm's. His pediatrician says this is totally normal. He's EBF though, so I'm not sure if it is different for formula fed babies. If we can tell he is really uncomfortable, we do the q-tip/Vaseline trick and it works every time.
We found the most fun new game. H was laying at one side of our bed so I laid on the other side and put LO in the middle and she spent like 30 mi. Just rolling back and forth between us. Also it's crazy how mobile she is on the bed.

We had this with V. For weeks she only pooped once a week. My pedi said it was totally normal. Just watch out when he finally does poop, cause it'll be a mess! I tried a few things to help move things along, but nothing ever worked for her. We just had to let her body do it's thing. She eventually started pooping daily and she's very regular now.

R started getting on her hands and knees and rocking yesterday. I think we're going to have a crawler soon! (Then it'll be time to put up the baby gates)

Wow! That's fast! I'm a little sad that the babies are growing so fast.

I have to come on and brag for a minute. I went to a baby shower and took A with me (after clearing it with the mom first). She was the most perfect baby ever. Got passed around to a ton of people and was super smiley and flirty, took a long nap on my mom's lap, then woke up in time to be super cute again before we left. I heard multiple people say they had never seen a baby be so good for so long. Then I took her to dh's friend's house where there was like 20 people for like an hour and she was the same. Super happy to go see anyone and just a little trooper. I wasn't super happy about her being passed around to tons of people, but it was one day and she was doing great. I brought her home and gave her a good bath to get rid of any cooties and she just went down for bed super easy.

I know! I keep telling her to stop growing, but she isn't listening. Also, I had one of the earliest babies. She'll be 6 months old in 10 days.

Just wanted to say I'm sorry for being an AW and thank you so much for the support. Sorry I didn't come back right away. Taking more steps to make it better.

My mother asked if K is showing signs of crawling or pulling to stand. I told her that thankfully K seems content with sitting. She replies "we'll I guess I'm going to have to come over and fix that." It took everything in my power not to nicely tell her to fuck off. HELL NO to mobile baby.

Ha! I can't get her to sit at all. As soon as I set her down, she kinda leans to her side and then rolls onto her stomach. She wants to go. Even when I'm nursing or just holding her, her legs are ALWAYS kicking!
