DD has a pool party tomorrow afternoon.
And my mom called yesterday and it's time to put our family dog to sleep. I am really sad about it since we got him when I was still at home and we are buddies. He has been a part of our family for 13 years.
Sorry about your dog twocents6708! That's always hard. We're having A's birthday party on Sunday! I can't believe he's going to be 2! Tomorrow we're going to the farmers market. I love going! I don't know what happened to Cam. He used to wake up MOTN, eat, back to sleep. Now he's just awake! And angry if I put him down. Why must this happen now that I'm back to work?!
Ry isn't feeling as warm now... He just ate but since yesterday morning everytime he's eaten he has thrown up so fx'ed he keeps it down! I'm glad he's still wanting to nurse though and his nose isn't as stuffed .... sick babies are the worst! Man this has been hard!
Good morning. First wake up. My legs are aching from barre yesterday. We have a walk through at our new house today. Then I'm hoping DH and I (and DS2) can have a little date at the farmer's market while DS1 is with the nanny.

I'm glad things are a little better. Poor dude! Hopefully he's on his way to feeling 100% soon!

Warning - kinda gross!
This morning when I suctioned poor DS, his snot had blood mixed in. Anyone have this happen with a baby? Should I be worried? My first thought was that I sucked too hard with the Nose Frida, if that's possible.
twocents6708 so sorry about your dog. We are definitely pets are family people so even hearing about someone else's pets getting old makes me super sad.
We're going to the farmers market this morning and then meeting my little brother's new girlfriend for the first time. She's vegan and luckily we have a restaurant with vegan options in town so we're going there, hopefully my kids behave....
The biggest way to "ruin" my morning pump session is to think something like "if I pump my normal amount I won't be to thaw any out for while I'm at the shower today!" Anytime I ever "count" the oz before I pump I end up pumping way less than normal lol

Probably just dry nasal passages?
That's what I assumed but blood + babies = a little more anxiety than normal for some reason.
We also have a pool party. En route now. Toddle child is like the spawn of the devil today. Yay. Hear that?? ............ It's my enthusiasm for two days of hell.

Sounds like everyone has a busy day!!
We had an electrical fire at the hospital today.. But not on my floor or wing. Apparently a patient like overloaded an outlet and it caused a bunch of smoke damage so I got called in to help since patients got shifted all over! :/ We stayed up late last night and I'm sooo sleepy this morning. Ugh. I'm also just pumping for the first time. :/ I need coffee.
I don't Rememeber exactly what I dreamed last night but I Rememeber that mh was a jerk in my dream. I woke up really ticked off at him and he was like "what did I do?!" LOL oops sorry
Also my phone keeps capitalizing Rememeber for some reason lol but I'm too lazy to change it

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. It's never easy.

Liking in solidarity... The toddler has been having a really hard time with transitions the past week or so, even with things he likes to do. I'm thinking it probably has to do with me being back at work but I'm hoping it ends soon!
Ugh, so when I was little I saved my sister from drowning. Like legit save. She was 3 I was 8. It was FUCKING SCARY and I still cry when I think of it.
Well, today we went to a pool party and DS1 was LOVING walking around the 1ft part of the pool/splash area and he fell over and was "under" for about 3 seconds until we got to him. Maybe not even 3 but felt like a long time. We were 3ft away from him. He's TOTALLY fine, scared, but fine. But given the crib tumble, the falling down the stairs at daycare, and now this, I am feeling like MOTY here and I can't shake it off on the whole water thing. He is legit 100% fine although it took him a while to want to go in the water again and he was really scared right after it happened. We tried not to play it up. We told him when we fall down we get up and try again...but ugh. THAT WAS NOT COOL.
Ok...need to get over this. He is 100% fine. Maybe 99% since he's super scared of the pool now, but he will get over in time. But yeah...I need to be ok now!!

I hope it gets better. He was SUPER great at the pool party, especially when it was time for cake. All they had were things he can't have (allergies) and he was such a champ about it. He loved his banana in lieu of cake!

babycaps that is super scary! I'm glad everyone is okay, but ugh! Your little guy has has had quite the rough few days! I'm so glad you were there to grab him! That's the important thing; that you were there keeping an eye on him. As a former lifeguard, I've had to jump in on way too many kids who were an arms reach from their distracted parents.. You should get a MOTY award! I hope you can have some peace about it all soon.
ETA: I just realized the MOTY was probably sarcasm when you said it. I just meant that you're doing great, and I think that saving your kid from drowning is badass. So you really do deserve it in the true meaning. Lol.
I'm sorry about your dog twocents6708. We lost our 13 year old dog about a year and a half ago and I'm still not over it. She was my partner in crime years before I met MH.
In other toddler news we started potty training J today. We were going to wait until labor day but it's supposed to rain all weekend and we're low on diapers, so we might as well. We put him in pants without a diaper. So far he wet himself twice, though the second time he figured out what was happening and tried to get to the potty. We put a diaper on him for naptime and he immediately announced "I poopy eww" and sat on his potty and went in the diaper. Now if he can just put it all together.
Thanks ladies!! That's exactly the issue, this happened just as DH and I got distracted and did NOT have our eyes on him. It was DH who saw him. Still. Everyone is ok. Lessons learned!
Before I got pregnant I cleaned out my closet (you don't want to k ow how many garbage bags of clothes I donated). I just went through it again and got another bunch of bags. I'm tired of pushing aside clothes I never wear trying to find the ones I do lol
