Eta: also since you have his name & info, maybe you should inform the housing people or HOA. Or even the police. In case he is the one that ran into the mailboxes, which seems likely.

jewel441 I'm sorry you had to deal with that nonsense. As others mentioned, you should report him. He put your family at risk by being intoxicated. Not cool!
Hi ladies! I'm still in Vegas. We were planning on heading home today but might stay another day The main fwy to head home is closed due to a fire. LO is doing great. I was a bit worried because of the heat. He loves the pool so we've been hanging out there each afternoon.

People are so cheap. I sold a huge lot of maternity clothes for $50. The girl's MIL came to pick them up today and had no idea what she was supposed to be paying or how. I told her $50 and she asked if I would take $40... no, we agreed on $50. And when I say a huge lot of clothes, it worked out to less than $1 per piece of clothing. Even if she doesn't wear half of them, that's still a huge deal!

You guys. Talk me down... I posted a few weeks ago how I thought E was left handed b/c he always goes for things with his left... Well he still does, and I'm a crazy googler and read that it can be a symptom of Cerebral Palsy. :/ He's not rolling yet, so that milestone is delayed. Anybody else have a LO that favors on side? I wish I was born in the 60s so I couldn't look everything up online.

Isn't he a late March baby? He isn't delayed in rolling. E can do belly to back and just did back to belly this week. Dd1 was over 7 months before back to belly and never rolled around anywhere.

This. DS1 rolled SUPER late - actually he hit most of his physical milestones on the late side. He also appears to be left-handed. And he's healthy and happy, nothing out of the ordinary at all. I know it's only an anecdote, but one you're more likely to follow than a CP diagnosis. Try not to worry!

J favors his left hand and just started rolling this week. He'll be 5 months in a few days. I don't think they get concerned about rolling until 6 months. I can't remember how big your LO is, but it usually takes bigger babies a little longer since they have more weight to move.

I thought that Bud favored his left hand, but that was dispelled when we had a developmental check-up last Friday (our NICU schedules them for all preemies). The doctor held out a toy to Bud who was lying on his back and he went to grasp it with both hands and did that continuously. When he's on the playmat, it seems to me that he prefers to reach with his right, but they were more interested in his performance with dangling an object in front of him. So maybe that's worth a try--just you, rattle toy, and E? Also, is it possible that he's more likely to reach with one hand while he's sucking on the other?

Good news (?) is she didn't go yesterday. We have the library and the post office to hit up today, so she has a bother chance.
My trick is to run out of diapers and do a wash. Oops, I mean that's his trick. It doesn't matter how long I wait to do the wash. He just won't poop until I've started a new cycle.

Google can be your friend and enemy. It can scare you when you read so much. I'm sure he is fine. Max just started rolling belly to back he still hasn't figured out back to front. He'll be 6 mos on the 28th. When he reaches for stuff he uses both hands. And sometimes uses his left or switches to his right. I also remember the pedi saying rolling usually isn't a big deal till after 6mos.

Woah, that's a bit of a stretch.
Didn't you just have your 4 month pedi appointment? Did the dr. say anything about him being delayed. Babies hit milestones at completely different rates, but it all works out in the end. I have a friend who's baby was born a week before mine and can crawl but can't sit. I have another friend who's baby was born a week after mine and has just gotten the hang of rolling.
So breath.
If you really are truly concerned call the pedi and see what they say.

My poor mom. She watched E while I took dd1 to the eye doctor and lunch. Apparently she screamed for an hour and a half. DH works at home and neither of them could get her to stop screaming for more than a couple minutes. Looks like I'm going to need to go out more often!

@**kimmy8** I also should add dd1 was later on almost all her motor skills except rolling to her back (3 months) and sitting up (5 months). She crawled at 10.5 months not on all fours til 11.5. She didn't walk until 16 months. You wouldn't know any of those just a few months after she was walking. She was like 6 months later than cousin in walking. She just really had no interest in doing any of those things. Perfectly happy hanging out on her back or sitting. Babies are all over the place with skills.

I just wanted to throw in that A isn't rolling either way or sitting up unassisted yet. She has rolled twice, but I think they were accidents. I asked her doctor at 4 months and she didn't seem too concerned. Like sunshineshades said, she just doesn't seem interested. She's perfectly content to hang out however I put her. We go back for her 6 month checkup in 2 weeks and I'll be asking again, but I bet she thinks it's fine still.

Thanks for everybody's reassurance. I'm such a hypochondriac about myself, and it's even more magnified with E! I tried the trick of hold out a toy in front of him on his playmat and he goes for it with both hands (more often with left but definitely not exclusively). You guys are the best.

So, an acquaintance of mine on FB just posted a picture of her son (1 yr) in the tub, having pooped and then 'painted' with it. I can't unsee it. Why would someone put that out there? So gross! I have unfriended her. Haven't seen her in years anyway...

I feel so much better since I decided to move back to my old district. I'm not nearly as stressed out. I'm bringing a friend with me too!
Did anyone have thyroid issues PP? Mine has always been fine, but the exhaustion has me wondering. Also, I'm on medication because my heart rate is too high (up to 175 without the meds). With the meds it used to average in the 80s. All of a sudden it's in the 60s and I'm getting dizzy.
