Hi!! Busy day here! Ds1 made a huge mess while nanny fed baby a bottle. She felt so bad that when we got home the place was messy. We were expecting that though. It's hard 2 on 2! So nanny on 2 was probably enough to make her run away and never come back.
DH does a ton of laundry! We share that responsibility well.
I'm exhausted and really hoping for a better night tonight.
DD is in time out. She is having a really hard time listening lately. We told her 10 minutes, but I'd really like to leave her in there for longer seeing as it was a no nap kind of day..
DS fell asleep around 6 for his nap. He's still sleeping. I told DH that he apparently went to bed for the night and not a nap. I'm not planning on waking him up until he wakes up. No point. I'll nurse him and our his sleep sack on when he wakes up lol

DS2 also fell asleep early. Like 5:45pm. We were still out at a friends. We came home, he was up for all of 15min and back down after a bit of nursing time. I am starting to think we are having shit nights because we keep him up late. He generally falls asleep between 7-8pm but is tired around 6pm. 6pm is just not doable though, half the time DH isn't even home yet and I have a tot to take care of as well...but last time he fell asleep at 6pm while we were out, nursed and then went back to sleep was our best night ever! I think I'm going to have to find a way to make 6pm work.
Well, it's the beginning of the end for 6 month clothes. I put the first onesie on this morning and said "welp this is the last time I can stuff you in this one!" Time to break out my fav outfits one last time before we move on to 9 month! I can't believe it!!

DS usually naps but not for this long. I'm wondering like you if maybe he needs an earlier bed time. He's always napped downstairs in the evening for about an hour then is up for 1-2 hours before bed. I'm wondering if he was upstairs bed actually sleep for a longer stretch. Idk. Some nights he sleeps 7 hours some nights only 4.

My lo catnaps around that time usually. And then he's up for like 30 minutes and then he's ready for bed. He is starting to be ready for bed just after 7 and I keep missing it and bad things happen. Like, won't take his bedtime bottle because he is just too pissed, and he wakes up after his first sleep cycle which is really unusual for him. Ds1 went to bed much later, I'm not used to such an early bedtime.
Also I think I may have a spider bite. Something bit me in the side and a super itchy rash is around it. The benedryl gel hasn't touched it. It always takes the itch out of bug bites. But not this one. 😁

The super early bedtime is a bit annoying but is likely not long lasting. DD had a few weeks of needing an early bed time and now is back to our preferred bed time. If I remember correctly your DS is a few weeks behind us so maybe it's necessary?
aaemommy you sum up my thoughts on onesies exactly lol. We are in 3-6 right now, and partly I blame the cloth diapers, but we are dealing with the gap between the snaps over here. WTH? 6-9?!?
To be clear: I technically put in a load of laundry every day. But between daycare kiddos rarely napping all at the same time then all our free time devoted to fence building, I never get back to it. This week I let the same load of laundry get stinky in the wash three times and had to rewash three times. That's excessive haha. Then diaper laundry trumps all or else the kid goes commando and nobody wants that. I'll get in a groove. This weekend I am determined to get everything washed and set.

I can't figure out what is up with our new nanny. She moved in yesterday afternoon with a box and a suitcase. Hasn't left the house for anything. We offered her dinner last night and she declined. She didn't come upstairs until her shift started at 11am. We went for a picnic and she ate a small lunch with us. She didn't eat or drink anything else the rest of the day. Then at 8pm when she was done, she went downstairs and I haven't seen her since. What is she eating? When? When is she going to the bathroom? I feel bad, like she is too shy or nervous to be around us? I didn't see her bring in any groceries. I'm so confused.

DD refuses to eat when we don't get her down in time because she's pissed. I always have to go up and feed her 45-1hr later.

Oh goodness. Maybe she's one of those people that doesn't eat much? My grandma is that way. Or maybe the suitcase was clothes/ toiletries and the box was food lol

I don't know how to say this without it coming off poorly, but she is significantly overweight, so I assume that she does eat something at some point?

It's the end of the month, I haven't had a paycheck in three months, and we're a bit strapped for cash. So of course today is the day that J managed to order $24 worth of Bubble Guppies videos on his Kindle. Thankfully I caught it and canceled it. Parental controls are now turned on.

She's probably just nervous. I'm sure she'll warm up soon.

I have a friend (also bigger) who is part camel and only pees once or twice a day. That's all I've got.
We were heading out to go grocery shopping and the girls knocked on the door. They wanted to come with us, but I wanted to spend time alone with Blake, so I said no. But then they offered to watch Ridley so we could be alone and I jumped on it. We went out to dinner and went shopping just the two of us and it was amazing.
I didn't even realty miss her like I thought I would. H definitely did, though. Lol. We hadn't even been gone 15 minutes and he's all "We should hurry. I don't like being away from her this long." Lol. So I stuffed my face and probably forgot a few things at the grocery store, but he got back to his baby.
Plus they did the hard work of calming her down for bedtime. She was already asleep when he went up to get her and it only took a quick nursing session to get her back to sleep for the night.
As tired as I've been lately, it was the perfect end to the day.
@led DHs parents keep telling us to go on a date night but DH keeps making excuses for why we can't 😂 But then he complains that we never get alone time. I told him he needs to pick one because we can't have it both ways. I think he's worried he will miss DS too much to relax.

Oh my goodness. This has been the hardest few days since H was born. He's been running a fever and super cranky and clingy. Didn't sleep for more than an hour at a time for 2 days, and refused everything but being breastfed.. Even EBM bottles. I had to call in to work to take him to the pedi, and now I feel dumb because all they said is, "maybe something vital?" and of course he didn't have a temp when we were there.
I am so proud of all the mommas who have colicky babies and still function and still have good attitudes. Sheesh. Luckily for me H seems to be over it and slept 5 hours straight last night. I feel like a zombie though. Ugh.
