Happy Friday!!!! We have our final walk-through with the builder this morning, and a home inspector looking at the house this afternoon. Assuming all goes well, we close next week!!!
jillywilly, Yay!! I hope everything looks good for you guys.
Getting some loose ends tied up at work today before we leave. Got the last of our transportation and accomodations rebooked lastnight! Whew....this weekend will be a lot of laundry, packing, and list making for grandparents. I probably wont sleep much. I'll sleep on the plane!
Invitations to LBB's birthday party go in the mail today. Now I really need to get into the party prep.
What's the theme?
Ninjago. Which goes to show how powerful peer pressure is. He has no ninjago toys, has never seen the show, and up until this summer wanted a dragon party.

Busy morning in our house. SO got his wisdom teeth out, electrician came to look at our smoke detector since it keeps going off every time I open the oven, we have someone cleaning our house currently(which is the most exciting!) and Jules is reorganizing her diapers. Later in putting away 12 month clothes and putting out the 18 month. I can't believe these kids are getting so big!
mrsmonogrammed C is too cute!! She says Friday so well!!
Happy Friday! I'm off, DH is off. We're going to go to the children's museum and then to lunch. Not much else planned for today. mrsmonogrammed C is adorable! Have a great day everyone!
For the last hour or so, instead of working, I have been looking at life insurance and researching wills/trusts/guardianship plans. Fun stuff. My goal this weekend is to get H on board with what I want to do.
Usually we go out of town on holiday weekends, but this weekend we are staying local. Packing everyone up to go somewhere overnight is so much work, and I just don't feel like it this weekend. Hoping to get a little time to myself to relax somewhere in there.
Have fun at the lake michyme123. We are going next weekend and I'm so excited.
FX that everything goes as planned and you get to close next week jillywilly!
I'm drinking coffee and transferring pics from my phone to the computer to free up my storage space. O is keeping herself entertained with toys and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I pulled out some toys that I had already put away because she had lost interest in them, and it's been like Christmas morning for her. So many "new" things to play with!

alayne926 I'm behind on everything, where are you flying to? I recall UK, but not sure...
I'm schlepping the kids out to the farm to pick tomatoes and peppers, then coming home and having friends over to make pesto and pickle pepperoncinis. Must run later also. 13 days til Oahu!
billyhorrible, DS wants an Iron Man party. I'm about to pass out from eye rolling. He says he wants an Iron Man Tsum Tsum cake. Seriously? Can he make this more complicated? How the F am I supposed to accomplish that?

Do you have Pinterest? They have tons of iron man party ideas for kids on there. If you search iron man cake etc.
Happy Friday! I had a fitness consult with a personal trainer that went really well this AM. He had me use this machine and I only did ten minutes but holy hell, my thighs are burning!
Now LO is fighting a nap, so I'm rocking myself in her chair. Maybe I'll take the nap?

Next weekend is DD1's birthday so I'm in full party planning/house cleaning mode over here all weekend. It's supposed to be cold and rainy so I don't feel like I'm missing out on much. And I agree with Widget123, it's just too much work to pack everyone up to leave town!
Today we are going to the mall to pick out some new shoes and a first day of preschool outfit.

I do, and I did briefly look around. It was just the fact that he wants me to combine the 2 things (Iron Man and Tsum Tsum) that trips me up. For the longest time it was just an Iron Man cake and I was kinda hoping I could do something using an iron man figure, and have the cake be the "scene". Now he wants Tsum Tsums incorporated and I'm back at square one. I'll come up with something!

Just googled tsum tsum. So they are little plush toys that look Japanese style? That is tough to mix the two

Ugh Widget123 I've got to get that stuff taken care of too, adulting:(
Finally getting my massage today, if H can wrangle A for an hour or so. Then more errands. I've got to get some form notarized so my aunt can transfer over my car title since it finally sold.
@poppyc8 , yes a lot of them are plush but they range in size and some of them are tiny shopkins-like figures. Those are the kind DS has. Like these:
I was thinking jelly-roll style cake and decorate it to look like Iron Man. But still, it's just more complicated than putting a figure on a round cake. I'm lazy, what can I say.

I would do an iron man cake then buy some of those tsum tsum and put them around the cake in a decorative way or hang balloons around the cake area with the tsum tsum strung at the bottom of the balloons?

I'm feeling kinda numb today.
My mom is meeting with the oncologist to discuss treatment options. The cancer did spread to her lungs. Waiting impatiently, hoping for some positive news or course of treatment. I'd appreciate all the positive thoughts..
H is just told me he's feeling anxious about leaving on Tuesday and I'm trying to be supportive of him despite hating this whole situation.
Knowing he's leaving in 4 days is almost harder I think then when he'll actually be gone, at least then I can count down.

I would either make a round cake and use the Tsum Tsum as a cake topper, or if he's not set on cake, go for cupcakes with fondant tsum tsums as toppers . Like this: I'm not a fondant artist, but you can get someone on etsy to make them for you. The Ironman "face" looks easy enough if you know how to work fondant.
Let me know if you need any Ironman tips. That's LBB's favorite. We did a super hero party for him last year.
