I'm up before DD but it's ok because I'm getting ready for a 6 hour spa day! Thanks DH for my awesome bday gift.
I'm really excited but this is the longest I have ever been apart from DD so I am also feeling a little sad and anxious. DH is super excited to spend the day with her alone though so that's really sweet. I keep telling myself that I want them to have that chance.

I swear these kids know when it is a day that I have work to finish up and turn in cause they woke up a ton starting at 3 this morning.
My husband is sending me back to bed after I finish pumping. When I wake up again there better be two more articles posted in a small group discussion otherwise I am going to lose my shit on these two group members. They are the only two of the other four people to acknowledge the plan for posting by Friday afternoon with discussion on Friday night and Saturday, but then neither of them did it. The shitty thing is that one of them is in my other project group for this class as well which worries me.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
I'm tiiiired. Cam's 5:30am wake time is fine for weekdays but not for weekends! Boo! I'm taking a nap with him when he's ready! 😴 ETA I can't complain too much. Cam and I got to see a gorgeous sunrise over the lake this morning! And the weather is going to be perfect today!
I'm really not sure how many times I can tell DH that our son is distracted while nursing and it's best when I can be in a quiet dark room while I nurse for both our sakes.
Instead he always HAS to talk to me and either comes in and turns on hright or sits next to me. Or yells from the next room and expects me to yell back.
Then he wonders why DS is screeching, or pulling off to look around or clawing.
Whenever I remind him he's like "oh yeah but a minute conversation shouldn't hurt should it???" Tell that to my nips 😂
Two days at daycare and he's sick. (We knew it would happen sooner rather than later, but I was hoping for at least a week!) DH and I are both congested as well, so I think it will be a family event. So awesome.
DD is going to her grandparents next weekend. She doesn't want to go, but I can't wait.
erg. This reminds me. H and I spent a few hours this afternoon trying to get the hang of our new (to us) ring sling. We suck at it. We were ninjas with the Moby. Grr. I might have to hit up BWI soon if we can't get it right.
I think the closest meeting to me would be the closest to you as well. I just hate traveling so far to things lol

Ryker was sleeping so soundly this morning and I was able to get ready for church in peace it was so nice but I woke him up and changed him and he had pooped so I get his clothes on and he looks at me and poops again so I put him on the changing table and changed him again go to the living room put him in the car seat he looks at me and poops again 🙈 Since he started the antibiotic he's been going a lot more but good grief!
Welp looks like I need to start hooking DS in the rnp if I want to walk more than a step away from him. He kicked himself out of it this morning (I was sitting right next to him so it wasn't a big deal". I was thinking it was a fluke (it wasn't)
Fortunately we don't use the rnp too much anymore mostly just as a safe place to put him down for a minute. Ironically it's no longer a quick safe place 😜
nerdykitten group projects are seriously the worst. Sorry you have a shitty group.
Part of me dislikes them immensely and part of me appreciates them as my field is very collaborative. Plus I feel like I don't put things off as much if I know people are waiting for my part.

That's a good point. I'm a huge procrastinator but I tend not to when other people are relying on me to do my thing.

I think it may be time to retire the RNP. babycaps has many first hand stories of babies who were too old to be in them getting seriously injured. She is the reason we never bought one.

When he's harnessed in he can't move but I'm going to monitor closely.

Oh no! I dread the day R figures it out. But she's more likely to fall out the top and I don't know how much the buckle will help with that. She likes to wedge her feet right down by her bottom and then push her legs to standing and her head falls off the end.

Oh jeez fortunately he hasn't figured that trick out, what he does his puts his feet flat by his butt and pushes up so his whole back is off and when he lets go he slides down so that his feet are hanging off and he keeps doing it until his butt his practically falling out of it. Of course now that I foiled him from sliding down he will probably start pushing up... Which is why I need to keep a close eye on him.
Like I said I'm just counting myself lucky that we don't really use the rock n play for too much.

Yeah, agree!! If he can kick himself out, he will in no time be able to roll it over if he puts too much ooomph into an attempt
I'm just jumping in.....I see there are sick babies so sorry.
DS1 boycotted nap today. I just sent him and DH on a mission to target to buy a couple of gifts. DS1 is napping. I am hungry. And I am sleepy. The last two nights weren't great.
Oh, andplusalso, my PP jeans that fit for the first time yesterday RIPPED at the end of the day. Right in the inner thigh where they were wearing....I mean, they are 3yr old jeans...maybe older, but I'm sad. It was the only pair that fit at the moment. Back to yoga pants. WTH am I going to wear to work this week? NONE of my work trousers fit yet.
DS1 and I are feeling a little better today, but DS2 has been super fussy all weekend and he wants everyone to know it. He does this little baby yell when he's unhappy. It's not like he's crying, but it's not cooing either. I was wondering if he has an ear infection caused by the cold we all have, but he only had one bad night and hasn't seemed very sick like the rest of us. I think he may really be teething and maybe some of his coughing has been due to all the drool.
I thought I'd lose a lot of weight being back at work. The scale is slowly starting to budge. DH got me a Fitbit Alta for our anniversary and I was actually surprised that I took more steps around the house yesterday that I did at work Friday, because I park almost 1/2 mile from work and take the stairs to get to the pumping room.

k3am, DS got sick after his first two days at daycare too. I think he is working on cold #2 today. Daycare germs...I hope the sickness passes soon for you guys.
babycaps, that sucks but I must admit I am relieved to hear that I am not the only one who still can't fit into work clothes.
That is totally reasonable! 3oz every 2 hours is perfect. (5x3oz) Are you feeding him right before he goes or is he eating right after getting there? Or does he eat right before pickup time? Those would be the only factors that might change my mind.
I feed right before DH takes him and it's a 7 min drive.
They acted like I was being unreasonable when I gave those options.
With DD, we ran into similar. By the end of the week, I was sending her 25 oz/day and she had massive diarrhea and diaper rash.
So I felt like my holding strong was STM wisdom, but still don't want to be starving him!
Um DS takes 3, 4oz bottles at DC. He is there about 8-5.

I can't fit into mine yet either. I'm wearing stretchy yoga-type maxi skirts and a few pair of my maternity pants still.
