STM's or anyone who has suggestions: My niece's 3rd birthday is in a couple days and I need to order her some gifts (preferably something I can order on Amazon!). So far I have a play doh cupcake "baking" set. She's girly and likes domestic toys ...play kitchen, toy coffee maker, etc. Ideas?
Uterine fibroids (removed by robotic myomectomy 11/14) and past removal of L ovary/tube d/t ovarian torsion (4/99). New diagnosis of endometriosis (5/15)
k3am, DS got sick after his first two days at daycare too. I think he is working on cold #2 today. Daycare germs...I hope the sickness passes soon for you guys.
babycaps, that sucks but I must admit I am relieved to hear that I am not the only one who still can't fit into work clothes.
I can't fit into mine yet either. I'm wearing stretchy yoga-type maxi skirts and a few pair of my maternity pants still.

No scrubs for you babycaps? They look like the comfiest pants ever.
I'm lucky in the pants department I guess. I lost 30lbs right before getting pg and I kept all my bigger clothes for precisely this purpose. They fit great haha. Not that I ever wanted to wear them again, buuuttttt it is awfully convenient to have busted out my "large" bin and worked into my medium bin a little bit. I dream of opening the small bin again someday. That was really fun right before getting pg. I'm rambling.

My SIL just asked if I wanted her to save any of the decorations from her kids first birthday party and now I'm over here feeling sorry for myself because we probably won't even throw her a party because there's no family around here to have a party for. Ugh. As much as i love it out here, I really miss having family around.
Lol DH is reading a book on missions and asked me if I could ever be convinced to become a missionary. Nope. I think that's one of those things you have a calling and passion for and I am not the slightest bit interested.

Also DSs cradle cap become a hot topic of discussion at the shower. I now know approximately 374 remedies (none of which I will try lol except maybe breast milk ) I got a little defensive and said its getting better lol
twocents6708 I can't fit into my work clothes either. Someone gave me some pants that are a couple sizes bigger than normal and only one pair fits. The rest of the days I'm wearing maternity pants.
@led It's hard to be far from family. For DS1, we planned a trip home a few weeks after his first bday and had a big party at my mom's. After that, I made an effort to join local mommy groups so we made some friends locally and invited them to parties (although at this point I think I'll only do big parties every other year for the kids).

Did you try the Mustela shampoo? Worked great for us. Lol. Sorry to give another suggestion.

I haven't but that's probably the only other thing I would try. I probably will snag some.
Most of the suggestions were things like "rub hard with a wet wash cloth" or "use clarifying shampoo"
@led, we did a skype call with both sets of grandparents for J's first birthday. Whatever you do, remember that the party is to celebrate you surviving your first year of parenthood. The kid will have no idea what is going on except that cake is involved.
Add me to the pantsless crew. I ended up buying four pairs of work pants one size up. Fortunately I got 3/4 of them on clearance for $15 or less each.
Around 5pm J got his hands on MH's Diet Pepsi and drank about 8oz of it. Bedtime was not fun tonight. At least A went down without a fight.

One of our favorites for DD are Melissa and Doug kitchen sets. She has a pizza set, cookie set, and pancake sets. Our other fav Melissa and Doug toy is a wooden dress up doll thing with magnetic clothes, kind of like paper dolls when we were kids.
wanderlust at age 3, DD is obsessed with puzzles. Also, IF she watched the Disney channel, I highly recommend a princess Elena dress or toys. She's all the new rage and kids think she's the bees knees.
